Accommodations

The location was less than desirable. There were people loitering in the parking lot drinking alcohol and homeless everywhere outside the gates of the facility. It felt like I was in a foreign embassy, secure inside but not so much outside.

This is my go-to hotel whenever my wife and I are in town visiting her family. I love everything about this place! It's a great value for the money. They have a pool/hot tub. The free breakfast is very good, with plenty of choices. The location is very convenient to the airport, as well as the downtown area. Light rail is just a short walk to First St. and there is even a nice little Mexican eatery practically across the street called La Victoria. The staff is so very friendly and helpful! We upgraded to a suite this visit, and it was awesome! The suite has a kitchenette with a sink, cabinets, a small refrigerator, a microwave and a two conventional burners for cooking. I recommend Country Inn & Suites to anyone visiting San Jose wholeheartedly!

I didn't like having to leave and go back home!

The room was clean and quiet. Though near to SJC, I never heard a plane. Breakfast was actually quite good, with hot scrambled eggs, bacon, waffles, fresh fruits and some pastries. (Also included were all the “usual” continental breakfast items most places claim to be their “included breakfast”. (Bagels, juices, cereals.)

The sink was cracked, and water leaked underneath on to the towels and hairdryer shelf. Toilet needs extra attention under the rim. The parking lot is good, but a single-vehicle access thru the gate was partially blocked by delivery vehicles.

I loved how clean the rooms were. It was more spacious than I anticipated for a two queen bedroom. The front desk staff was also very helpful and kind, even when we arrived a bit earlier than expected. I would definitely book here again. One of the best hotels I've stayed at!

Perhaps needed to know when cleaning hours were. We took off the Do Not Disturb sign after we left at 12:00, but when we came in the evening, nothing was done. I believe we were told to call, so I believe this is on our end.

I like everything about this hotel. It has a good location, all the amenities you want in a hotel and it's reasonably priced! It's a short walk to the VTA light right. There is a nice sized pool and hot tub. There is a fitness room and coin operated laundry room. The rooms have a refrigerator and microwave in them, which is becoming rare even in more expensive hotels. They have free breakfast included. The staff is friendly and helpful. There is also a great little Mexican restaurant practically across the the street called La Victoria. I just can't say enough good things about this hotel!

I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this hotel!

The staff was super nice! The room was exceptionally clean. Breakfast was amazing with so many options and they had to go plates and cups to take with you. Pool was sparkling, and interior courtyard was beautiful. Love the security measures and gated parking lot was a plus for sure. Overall, a wonderful stay with many nice amenities. Workout room looked nice, although we didn't use it. Would definitely stay here again when returning to the area.

The breakfast was awesome and we very much appreciate it all of the selections in the hot breakfast area! All of the cold items and Bread items were impressive as well. Best breakfast we've found at a hotel.

The shower and shower head left a lot to be desired. The swimming pool was not heated, but we enjoyed the warm spa. The man who checked us in was extremely quick with his words, and we sort of figured it out on our own, but he was completely on autopilot and fast.

My first room was missing a smoke alarm, the window was streaked with birdshit and the toilet was broken. The hotel has two sides - dark old side and bright newer side. We were moved to the newer side which was awesome. It also made me wonder why I got the crap room and not the good one to start with. Do I have to always ask for a nicer room? Ugh. Anyway they were very accommodating and things were great once we moved...always complain when your room sucks.

Staff was kind and helpful. Parking on site. Wi-Fi worked well. Comfortable and roomy room. Clean. Spa was delightful.

Ceiling was creaking with every step of our upstairs neighbor. We were on the 2nd floor near the elevator. Around 7am there were loud, inconsistent tapping sounds outside the window, maybe water dripping of the AC unit?

very good location to surroundings in San Jose. working staff was excellent always asking if we needed anything. conveniente that breakfast was included. Room was super clean

bathroom ceiling fan not working, mattress was comfy but sagged in the middle. electric outlets very loose making it difficult to use to charge electronics
