very nice and pretty hotel. I love old architecture and this was very nice.

I am a diabetic and disabled and I was very surprised to be told by staff that the vendor machine had no diet drinks for such a nice hotel. my stay was brief and late at night and I had to walk 5 blocks to and from to a get a soft drink late at night. I think I would mention to the management to suggest no sugar items. it won’t affect a future stay tho.

Location, location, location!!! Steps away from the Convention Center, a block from the Performance Center, and near San Jose State, the Westin is in the center of a great activity hub. You also have multiple restaurant options (flavors and fares) within a block radius of the hotel. We drove to the city and the access from and to the freeway was easy and really close. If you are moving through the city, there is plenty of public transportation right at the front door. The Front desk staff was courteous and genuinely interested in helping us enjoy our stay. No pool, pet friendly, and beautiful!

Parking was solved by using Valet Parking ($45 for the day) but it's an additional cost. Although I didn't like the excessive cost, I was delighted with the staff and the quick service. It is fair to say that the cost was disclosed in advance, so I knew what was coming. Parking is also an issue because the entrance of the hotel is at a very busy intersection.

John at the front desk was exceptional. He made the check in process easy and quick. He gave us an upgraded room and made sure we knew what else the hotel had to offer. The upgraded king room was spacious and a great size for a couple. The bed and pillows were comfy. The rooms also came with free coffee/ tea and water. We only stayed for one night, but I would stay again. The parking lot across the street was 23 dollars which was decent for overnight parking. We didn't go when the lot was full but it looks like some days it can fill up quickly.

I get that the hotel is really old, but the carpets smelled really muggy. The hallways felt damp, but I loved the old decor.

The only option for parking is valet parking, which is not good, have only space for 3 cars on side of street to wait and is not safe. We circled around two times to see if we coukd park to check in and it was not possible. We ended up parking far away on residential road and took an uber to hotel.

We could hear a lot of noise from street in our room and ofcourse valet parking was not efficient.

Location was very convenient and near the concert i was attending. No issues with the property, bed was very nice and view was excellent. Loved the design of the bathroom. No cheap corners were cut and everything i need was there.

Would have liked more clarification on parking, was confused if the hilton parking garage was shared with westin. Also hot was was an issue in the shower, it was either too hot or too cold, no good inbetween. Was minor though and shower felt nice, shampoo and conditioner were very nice and looked online if i could buy the white tea ones

The king is large and comfortable and had good pillows. The rooms are quiet. Rooms are small but it's fine for a night. The soap they have smells nice.

Rooms are sort of small, the Marriott across the street has a lot more space. If the rates are comparable, book the Marriott, it has equally nice beds.

The hotel itself is beautiful and I love the beautiful architectural details of the building. The staff is friendly and they are quick to help if you need it. I also appreciated that the WiFi is free, as most higher end hotels like to charge for WiFi.

The price of the valet service seems excessive for guests that are already paying to stay at this location. Also, the hours for Il Fornaio should be expanded. I don't know of a major restaurant that closes at 9 on the weekend.

Beds were great which is the most important aspect for me, very comfortable and clean! Amazing location in downtown!

Parking situation not ideal and I wish there was an outside area.

Really comfortable room and quiet. The shower was lovely. Staff at the hotel and bar were very friendly.

Valet parking is very expensive, but there are a few public parking lots on the same block.
