The open feeling plants clean air..loved how they pool was so warm. Staff very professional and friendly.

When entering room had a stinky odder. The mattress was too hard for my liking..but the pillows were wonderful.

We appreciated our stay at this hotel. Our room was spacious and quiet. We love the big cozy sitting areas in the lobby and dining area. The breakfast buffet was fresh and delicious. Everything was good, however, the age of the hotel is really starting to show, esp in the room.

The bathroom was very cramped and small. The update sink bowl was not very functional bc it took up too much space on the sink, leaving no room around it. The water pressure in faucet was incredibly strong and would spray water all over the sink with barely a touch. The paint in the bathroom is peeling, the bathtub drain was clogged. All the furniture and decor in the room looks and feels worn and dated. Everything just had an old and dingy feel to it.

I found it to be a very restful experience. The inside court area is beautiful. It's a bit noisy when people are in the pool. I stayed twice - once on the way to my destination, and once on my way back home. The staff was friendly and efficient. The breakfast buffet is large, with staff on hand to make omelets or eggs to order, along with prepared items, baked goods, fruit, juice and coffee. I'm sure I've left some things out.

The only thing I found less than exemplary was the bed on my first stay - it was ok, but felt rather soft and had more "give" when sitting down than I like. But I like a firm mattress, which I had on my second stay.

Rooms and beds were super comfortable. The bathroom had a sink that section top of a console so limited space for 2 people at the sink but it was pretty in appearance if not functionality. This is our 4th time staying here as our grown daughter and her boys live nearby and we have always been 100% pleased. Only issue we had was someone had turned up the heat in the pool and it was 104 degrees so we couldn't let the little one's go into the pool for a day.

Pool temp was too hot one day so everyone had to stay out of the 104 degree pool.

The outside looked very underwhelming, I didn’t know what to expect when I showed up. As soon as I walked through the doors I was absolutely blown away. The pool, game room, restaurant, and lounge all in the same open concept space. We got to our room and it was amazing; it was clean and modern and had all the accommodations. Very nice tv, large tidy bed, plenty of charging spaces as well. We ate dinner at the restaurant and it was absolutely fantastic and reasonably priced, then swam in the pool (8 1/2’ deep at one end!) . after swimming we dried off and relaxed by the fire in the lounge room for almost 2 hours, then went to our room to sleep. We woke up in the morning and had breakfast, they had just about everything a hotel could have for breakfast, but they also had chefs cooking up omelettes per order (mind you this is free breakfast). You just walk up to the table and tell them what you want and they’ll whip it up for you. I never write reviews on basically anything but this was the cheapest hotel I had on my 5 day trip, and it was easily 2 or 3 times better than any of the others. Thanks for the mind blowing experience academy.

My only complaint was the hot tub was closed :(

We have stayed at this hotel about 6 different times. Our son lives in Colorado Springs and we stay here when we visit him. The rooms and bath are always clean. Beds are just right. Sheets are crisp and bright.Breakfast is the greatest part about staying here. Made to order omelets,waffles are make your own. .Great service all around.

i really can't think of anything we didn't like.

The Academy Hotel Colorado Springs is a great hotel located at a traffic hub in Colorado Springs. We very much enjoyed the served breakfast. It was way better than other US hotels serve, it was a great start of the day. In addition, there are more than enough dinner or shopping locations in walking distance of the hotel. The area itself is not very interesting for a vacationing traveller, but it is located close to highways through the city so you will get to where you need to go without having to cross the city.

The hotel's interior is fairly old and could use an overhaul. Our AC was pretty loud so we asked the staff to unlock a window for opening. Opening the window wasn't much quieter due to the highway's traffic noise. If you are a light sleeper you might need to bring some ear covering. Other than that the hotel was a good and affordable choice and we very much enjoyed our stay.

The lobby and common area are very tropical resort style(?), it seems very relaxing. The room is nice and big, there's fridge and microwave and coffee maker. The bathroom is a bit small but clean and comfortable. The breakfast area is nice which located in the ground floor, hot meals choice like sausage, biscuit, French toast, tortilla, pancake, and the best customized egg products like omelette or sunny side up. The parking are is huge and easy to find space.

The shower head is the bathroom is somehow kind of broken, the water is leaking from the ''side'' of the head, and goes all the way to the shower curtain than to the floor. causing mini flood in the bathroom.

Rooms were big & comfortable. Breakfast was decent. Staff was very good. Kudos to the young lady making omelets!!! She was extremely busy & was funny & easy to talk with & made a great omelet. The staff in general were very pleasant!

Wish there were more coffee selections. I'm a bold coffee person. Our shower curtain was torn & worn out. Downgrades the room. The air conditioner was very old, extremely loud & had a terrible smell. I went & bought Oder Ban & sprayed it in the area of the air conditioner.

The staff were knowledgeable and friendly, check in was super fast! From the lobby to the room everything was very clean and we loved the atrium style lobby filled with plants, water features, and the cozy fireplace common area. The pool area, located in the main lobby, was a bit on the small side but the water was nice and warm, the area clean and well kept. The next morning we went downstairs and enjoyed the complimentary breakfast which included everything from staple items like fruits and cereal to a waffle station and a build your own omelette station!

I would have really loved some on site snack options. I asked the front desk where we may get some drinks or snacks on the property as the hotel’s website boasts a 24hr convenience store at the front desk but the young lady let me know that there were vending machines located throughout the property instead which was kind of a bummer but far from a deal breaker, we still had a wonderful stay.
