January 2024

The hostel was very clean as compared to many hostels i stayed in Europe. Also, it was not crowded at all (in late January). Beds were super comfy and the room was spacious. It is a historic building and they carved some sections of the plaster walls to show the red bricks under it, I think the owners are respectful to its history. I liked how they had digital keys to each room, to provide better safety. Location is superb, very central in the downtown! They have a nice bar area, as well as Ophelias downstairs. We attended a concert there and stayed at the hostel upstairs for the night. That was very convenient.

I paid for the locker, small fee but still that would be good to know in advance. Also, good luck in understanding how to lock/unlock, since the locks are a bit confusing. Even the staff had to try multiple times. But she was very kind overall, so I wouldn't think this as too much of a problem :)

The place was very organized. The beds had their own lights and plugins. There was a place under the beds for luggage.

But dont lock anything up in the room downstairs, they dont lock the room and I had things stolen from my suitcase stored there. If you leave it in your room only the people in your room have access to it. Downstairs everyone has access. The door is not locked, it's not even closed. But it is one of the most thought out hostels I've ever stayed in, other than that room. Just dont bring too much.

It’s a good alternative for staying in Downtown Denver as opposed to the pricey competitors. The location is very walkable to Coors Field and Union Station. Bed was very comfortable, restroom was never crowded and showers did the job. The bar staff were friendly and professional. Herbal shop next door was an added bonus . As a senior, never felt out of place , people were cool. Looking forward to returning 2025 .

Best hostel I’ve stayed at!!!! Some may find the kitchen limited but great food options are right around the area .

The check-in and checkout process was smooth and simple. We got the King room and it was spacious, with a large bed, two bedside tables and a chair. The bathroom was stocked with towels, soap, shampoo and body wash. Everything was quite clean. Also at the bar there are seats and space to work if you need to.

It would have been helpful to have a table or something in the room where we could put our backpacks, clothes and other items, rather than the floor or the chair in the corner. Also, sound travels quite well through the hostel, it was quite loud until late at night due to the bar, but a good tradeoff for the location & price!

Really cool vibe. Met awesome fellow travelers. Anderson, the dude who checked us in, was helpful and knowledgeable. Love the history of the space: (it was an old school brothel) we stayed in the queen room- our bed was so authentic with its noise making I recorded it to use as a sound effect later. Wouldn’t change a thing about this place- there should be a hostel fish in every city.

The parking situation isn’t the best. Couldn’t find any street parking and the lot parking next store says $12 nightly rate but anytime I paid for it, it cost 24-48. There should be a hostel fish discount code so it’s 5 or 10$ for the night.

The bed was very comfortable, and the facility was spotless. The bar co-working area is excellent, with beautiful spaces to sit and good-vibing people around.

Now that I know, I would book the upstairs rooms and be certain that when I stay there, the nightclub downstairs doesn't do dram and bass nights. Honestly, how loud the club keeps the music should be illegal, and the club should be fined. The hostel can't even do anything about it. I was speechless when I was told what the club was allowed to do..talking about disturbing the peace, I cant believe its legal!!!

The staff was accommodating, and they are always open to listening to your experiences and stories. My flight was delayed, and when I called to let him know that I will arrive passed the check-in time, Andy was there to reassure me their doors will be opened for me.

One thing I did not like was the fact that the showers had a lot of hair as if someone was shaving there. This did not kill the experience, and I'm glad that I brought a pair of flip flops to avoid stepping on the shower floor.

Friendly atmosphere with very clean facilities. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Bed is all made for you. Shower fully stocked with shampoo, conditioner, & body soap. Meeting fellow travelers at the bar. Free nice towel. Close to bar area. Walking distance to anything Downtown. Live music venue downstairs.

Live music venue downstairs. Depending on who's playing, the whole building may be shaking until 2 a.m. No bed lights. Very noisy HVAC with wide temperature swings. Not so easy to climb out of the top bunks, which are very high. Lockers are see-through so I didn't feel safe keeping my computer there. Not much fast food available nearby; just one pizza place across the street and a small food court at McGregor Place.

Showed up early, staff welcomed me and secured my bags in the back room. Location is close to downtown Denver. If you want to drink and party, this is a great place, as the hostel bar stays open until the wee hours of the morning. Bed was reasonably comfortable, and the bathroom was recently remodeled. Keycode entry to rooms and the bathroom provided security - but don't leave your wallet in your room when you go to take a leak!

Kitchen was filthy and cookware was in bad condition when I used it to cook dinner. I wanted to cook breakfast at 6:30 AM, ahead of my Amtrak departure, but the kitchen was locked up, and a call to the listed number merely rang the phone behind the vacant front desk. Fortunately, I had prepared for the eventuality. The hostel's advertisement as "upscale" is disingenuous. The entrance staircase is extremely worn-out. Bunks have electrical outlets, but no storage shelves and no privacy curtains.

I liked the ambience of the Hostel. The location was pretty downtown. Staff was nice and helpful. Coffee, hot water, microwave were available in the bar/kitchen.

I did not like that the room had no windows. For one night is ok. But for longer, I wouldn't recommend the room. I asked the staff for some information about Denver and they were not able to help. They did not know. Of course I can check everything on the internet, but would be nice to get this information on the reception desk. That's just my preference.
