The shared spaces were beautifully appointed. The fireplace was gorgeous, the furnishings were beautiful, and the bar was inviting The building is historic and served as a school for many many many years. It has been beautifully updated and everything was new and clean. The staff was so nice. The manager brought us cookies and ice cream for dessert and the ambiance was very friendly. I had a skirt steak over a Cesar salad that was very tasty in the restaurant.

They need to inform guests that there are pulldown blackout shades available and inform the guests how to make them work. It is very hard to go and stay asleep without the shades since it is so bright on the street at night and the large windows let in an enormous amount of light. I wish they had a swimming pool.

It's conveniently located near multiple tourist attractions. Its proximity to the Mint made it especially easy to swing by in the morning for tickets and return later in the day for the tour. The only thing that would have made it better location-wise is if there was a grocery/market closer by. There is a small market within the hotel for necessities and snacks, but obviously, expect hotel pricing. The staff was a pleasure to interact with. I especially appreciated the man responsible for drinks at breakfast. I'm sorry I didn't catch his name, but he was a joy to speak with each morning.

The glow from the refrigerator display was a little annoying while trying to sleep, but after the first night, I got used to it. (I tried and failed to block it out with a towel.)

The hotel is very modern and clean. The rooms are small but well designed. The breakfast has a lot of choices, including excellent bacon and fruit bowls.

The staff were very strict about the 4pm checkin time - they seemed to go out of their way to ensure I did not get into the room before 4pm. They also asked me to charge my breakfasts to the room (even though they were included in the room price) and insisted they would be removed at the end of my stay - but I was overcharged for 3 breakfasts.

You do have to pay for breakfast, but you have a good few options, and it's fairly priced. Since it is cooked at their restaurant in the lobby, it's fresh and hot when you get it. Plus, you can call room service for breakfast and get it brought to your room if you don't have time to go downstairs. It's close to a few things that are within walking distance, and the old-school house vibe of the hotel is great!

It is a little higher priced, but it's worth it compared to other hotels in the area. You have to pay for parking at the property and it can get pricey.

Good location to 16th St Mall and Convention Center, bar and restaurant in lobby, lots of seating and communal areas inside as well as nice area outside, staff were pleasant, well stocked "convenience store" with self check out and a microwave in lobby. Bed was comfortable - not too hard or soft, pillows were plush, blackout curtains were helpful as the sun shot straight into my room in the afternoons, Lime scooters nearly always available, short walk (5-10 mins) to transit lines and to Capital building (10-15 mins). Decor and history of building were pretty neat! Had a beautiful view of the mountains from my room.

Disappointed up on arrival when I was told that the room I booked with a bathtub was not available as "none of the rooms have bathtubs" however, after what appeared to be the manager coming down to assist the front desk, they located the one room in the building that did in fact have a bathtub. My only other issue was my room was often either too cold or too hot and I was unable to change the temperature from the thermostat in the room.

Excellent new facility. convenient to convention center across street. Room was small but very efficient and spotless with unique decor. Plenty of charging outlets. Very comfortable bed. nice to have mini fridge and coffee in room.

There is no way to turn off the bathroom motion sensor light. The bath is extremely well lit which is great, BUT beware if you need to get up at night and walk into the bathroom expecting the built-in night light to be your light source. You will be blinded ! I checked with the front desk in case I missed something and they confirmed that there was no way to disable the motion sensor. Also, a minor annoyance was the bright blue light on front of the mini fridge showing internal temp. This was easily fixed by hanging an article of clothing over the edge of the counter to obscure the light at night.

The hotel is in what used to be a school, so it is interesting how the building is structured. Rooms are really good and new, staff was friendly, there is a 24h stand with food and drinks which was a life saver.

Breakfast was very good, but few options and a little pricy. It is an actual restaurant, with few very good options, but it is hard to eat something and get coffee without paying over $20. Also, they clean the room only upon request on the day before. Cleaning is fine, but you have to ask to get towels changed and stuff and it can take a while if you need it at the moment. Also, I think the wifi is limited to certain features. To watch streaming services you would have to pay extra, but I only used it to check emails and answer texts, so it worked fine for me.

The staff made our first visit to CO & stay at our hotel so much easier for us. They would check in with us to make sure everything was going smoothly. The bartender at the bar is a huge professional & very approachable. The area of the hotel is super helpful and close to everything.

Carpet wasnt very clean. our sheets had a stain when we first checked the bed. The blanket was dirty when you looked at it through the light. Towels had hair on them when we first used them. cleaningless was a bit off for a hilton based hotel.

I absolutely loved the location! I thought that it was incredibly cool to see an old school renovated and turned into a modern hotel. I think that that kind of architecture is very interesting and unique. It’s definitely one of the reasons why I chose to stay at the hotel because I thought it looked so cool in the pictures. It’s very different from any type of hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The inside of the hotel was super clean and modern. I love the fact that there was a bar and restaurant inside the hotel, so I didn’t have to go anywhere for food if I didn’t want to. The staff was amazing, and they texted me two times throughout my stay to check on me and make sure that I don’t need anything, and if I did need anything, they could facilitate that for me. I also thought the housekeeping staff was very kind. The hotel was peaceful, and I really appreciate that because I don’t like a loud hotel. The hotel had a small amount of people - just overall great ambience. They also had a 24 hour shop where I could buy food and drinks, so that was perfect because I love grabbing food items and not leaving my hotel. I enjoyed that, and I would for sure stay here again when I’m back in town. Thanks for everything Slate Denver!

I wish the room service was 24 hours, but everything else was great.

The history of the location wasn’t something I was aware of at the time of booking. As we walked the halls I became curious. A colleague and I were discussing what we thought it could have been before it became a hotel. One of the staff members heard our conversation and educated us on the history of the school and how it was connected to Molly Brown and suggested other historical locations to visit, which we did and loved! Very good experience and sta.

More menu selection for dinner at restaurant. I enjoyed the birria tacos and fries. The drinks were amazing and strong lol. It wasn’t a dislike but a suggestion.
