The location was the first thing that really stood out, but the staff when we checked in really set the tone for our stay-super friendly and helpful! We loved the room when we got in and continued to love it our whole stay. The staff at the bar and restaurant was equally friendly. We really appreciated the close proximity to all the shops and restaurants in the downtown Golden area. We definitely plan to return!

I would rather have had king beds rather than queen beds, but that's a minor quibble.

when I arrived I was the only person in the lobby. the staff seemed to be handling some issue regarding another guest’s room, which I can understand, but they didn’t acknowledge me at all for an awkward amount of time, seeing as I was standing like two feet in front of them

The location of the hotel is perfect to walk downtown and to the river. Easy onsite parking. The inside is updated with a nice bit of history. The creek side rooms have a lovely view. Wonderful breakfast in the restaurant downstairs.

We had an issue with our room door not opening but Ryan happily moved us to a new room.

Didn't eat breakfast there. Walked to the Windy Saddle for a healthy breakfast.

The door locks were hard to get open and although we loved our room the windows are leaking air and the curtains were moving on the windy night we were there. We needed to turn up the thermostat the keep it warm.

The location was great for walking along Clear Creek, museums, parks, shopping, restaurants and bars. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The lobby was beautiful with a cozy fireplace. Bartender was friendly and engaging.

Breakfast was not served until 9:00. I would have preferred 8:00.

We really enjoyed our stay in Golden. The location along the creek couldn’t be any better! Our room was huge and that was great for our weeklong stay. The whole staff fell in love with our dog, and welcomed him and other dogs with a sign that changed based on the night, which was sweet.

The Tesla destination charger was not working. One of two elevators was out of service the entire week. The gym was really mediocre.

Great position, very comfortable. Made to feel very at home especially as travelling alone. Kindly given a better room that I’d booked, with lovely view of the mountains.

There wasn’t anything that I didn’t like. Assume my room/bathroom wasn’t serviced because of covid but was surprised. Forgot to ask when I was there.

What's not to like. Great location, awesome staff, clean, nice room, restaurant on site, great food. Definitely stay there again. Would like to have river view with 2 beds to the room.

Only wish our room would have been over looking the river. Said there were only king beds in the rooms overlooking river. We need separate beds when we travel.

Hotel was Awesome !!!!!!! Everything about it was Fabulous.

The staff. The FRIENDLIEST person I encountered was the housekeeping room cleaner. The front desk clerk and most of the other staff was lack-luster and acted as if they would rather be somewhere else.

Awesome stay at the Golden Hotel! The front desk staff was INCREDIBLE! We even talked about how they were REALLY just the perfect picture of "Hospitality". Room was clean and king size bed was very comfortable. Good linens and pillows.

Restaurant staff was slow and less than efficient. The restaurant patio ambiance helped boost the "just fine but nothing to write home about" meals. Overall we ate there for the convenience and location along the river.
