The room was very clean and spacious. The balcony was plenty large and had comfortable seating. Rainfall shower head was refreshing! Breakfast was very nice, and the ladies who served it were as kind and accomodating as they could be! the front desk duo (guy and a girl) who checked us in were very friendly and funny, and also allowed a little later checkout the next day as I had nowhere to go because of foot pain until our kayaking tour. Much appreciated!

The pool area closed at dusk and while I am sure there are probably safety concerns, that was disappointing. It would also be nice to have been able to sit by the beautiful fire pit. The only other thing I can think of would be having a full bar (beer and wine only now).

Have to be the best view rooms in all of St. Augustine! Very romantic setting overlooking Matanzas Bay from the east end of the Bridge of Lions. Easy walking distance into town. Gourmet breakfasts each morning and cocktail hour snacks for an hour every evening are included in the room price. Every room has a balcony or patio on the water side. The staff was amazingly helpful and friendly. Property is just a short drive to beautiful Anastasia State Park Beach where umbrellas and beach chairs can be rented.

Summer temps had the small pool’s water un-refreshingly warm but the power jets worked as a warm hot tub.

Our stay was AMAZING!!! Nice rooms and huge showers. Breakfast was presented so well and the best food we had on our entire vacation! And let's face it, there's a lot of good places to eat. ALL staff was friendly and accommodating. The o'dourves offered each day was a nice touch. Views were wonderful! We even saw dolphins from our room. Easy access across the bridge. Spa area was very relaxing. Marker 8 is truly a GEM!

The only thing the room was missing was a microwave to heat up leftovers but staff graciously allowed us to use one of theirs.

I recently stayed at Marker 8 in St. Augustine with my husband and toddler, and it was a delightful experience. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and kind, making us feel right at home. The facility was immaculate, and the breakfast was both delicious and satisfying. The view from our room was stunning, and the hotel’s location made it easy to explore all the famous attractions of St. Augustine. We will definitely visit again and highly recommend Marker 8 to anyone looking for a fantastic stay in the area.

Very clean, modern furnishings with a nautical flair. We had a room on the ground level, with a patio and a couple of chairs where it was lovely to sit and enjoy the view of Lions Bridge and St Augustine 's skyline. Breakfast was in a small dining room lined with windows with a nice view of the river, fresh cut flowers on some tables, and served to us by cheerful, welcoming staff. Everything was fresh and tasty; we had a choice of a "starter" and then a "main" which was very satisfying. It was easy to drive into the downtown area, and there are several restaurants within walking distance.

It's an older style hotel that has been completely refurbished. The staff is amazing, the view is great, the free breakfast offers things like eggs benedict, and it's within walking distance of downtown. The prices appear a little higher than some but it's on the water and considering the quality of the free breakfast, the evening cocktail hour, the easy walking distance to everything, free coffee, and the fridge in the room, I thought it was a great value for the money. I'm kind of hoping that no one reads this :). I hope to get rservations in the future.

The best breakfast in town hands down, is probably the best part. The fact that it’s free is amazing! During the evening the have a cocktail hour which the hors d’oeuvres were amazing as well! A very close second is the staff. Definitely the most friendly staff at any hotel I have ever stayed in. John, the night front desk manager made my whole trip before even arriving. We got stuck in bad traffic on the way, which delayed us about 4 hours. Around 10:00, John called to make sure we were still checking in that evening. After explaining what had happened. He very kindly said don’t worry about it and left the key under the door mat to our room. Which made such a bad drive great! So mega kudos to John and all the staff at Marker 8 Location, Location, Location. The location is fantastic! A short walk across the bridge and you’re right in the heart of St. Augustine. Marker 8 is a very short drive to the beach, 10 min tops. Also it’s right on the river so setting out on the balcony or at the pool and watching the boats come in and out is great. The room was excellent! Very clean and recently updated. The bed was super comfortable you could tell it was a high quality bed and not just a cheap hotel bed. The shower was very nice, With a rain fall shower head and separate movable spray head, perfect for the beach. Awesome view from the balcony of the river and Downtown. There were fresh towels every day and the A/C was very cold.

The only negative part of the whole property is that the elevator is extremely slow. Which is no big deal there’s plenty of stairs. But honestly, next time I stay I would pick a ground floor room, you can park right next to the room and walk right out to the dock. So really, it’s not a big deal at all.

They were spacious, quiet, and boasted unparalleled views of St. Augustine. The comfortable accommodations provided the perfect retreat after a day of exploration. One of the standout features of Marker 8 Hotel & Marina is its unbeatable location. Situated just five minutes away from all of the city's main landmarks and attractions, the hotel offers easy access to everything St. Augustine has to offer, with the added charm of crossing the bridge to get there. The hotel's heated pool was a welcome amenity, particularly on colder or windy days. It provided a relaxing oasis where we could unwind and enjoy the beautiful surroundings in comfort.

While the breakfast at Marker 8 Hotel & Marina was satisfactory, it could have offered a slightly larger selection and a few additional options to cater to diverse tastes. However, despite this minor drawback, it still served its purpose adequately, providing a decent start to the day.

Staff was great. Breakfast was good. Quick walk to the main streets. Nice fire pit, pool/spa and happy hour but no free drinks, just tasty snacks. Laundry on site with ice machine. Free parking. Nice shower with rain head and nice hot water. Small bar on site to order from.

The pillows are too soft. Water pressure in bathroom sink was low, told the front desk. A/C unit in the room is kinda loud. Price very high at $ 300 a night for Dec so book months in advance.

The staff were able to check us in early which was very helpful as we were trying to get somewhere safe from the impending hurricane. The bedroom was a great size, comfy bed and the bathroom was OK. Great having a patio looking out over the waters and St Augustine. Interesting choice of places to eat within easy walking distance of the hotel. Easy drive to the beach from the hotel. We were able to park right outside our room so helpful to move our luggage and shopping into the room.
