Penny farthing was the best b&b me and my spouse ever stayed at. Room very clean and antiques, and artwork, b&b was very beautiful and interesting. Great location- walking distance to everywhere. The staff and owner are very caring and wants us to enjoy our time there, in which we did. Walking distance from the 5 star the Collage restaurant and very close to Harry's Bar and grille (she-crab soup). Both time we walked to restaurant and back to b&b. We had the best times at penny farthing inn. Parking at the site was awesome. at 4pm - they served white and red wine- awesome, breakfast was awesome

The owner opens the door at 3pm. no earlier. The maids leave at 2pm., so if you want to arrive earlier, We arrived at 2:15pm and did not know their policy. The websites you use to make reservations does not know their policy.

Excellent location. We were able to leave the car and walk to all destinations. Wine and hors d’oeuvres were very nice indeed.

My room was advertised as having a fireplace. it was totally non-functional and it would have been nice as it was cold. The air conditioning was locked at 72. It was cold overnight and the temp in the room dropped to 68. We had wine and hors d’oeuvres at 4 - very nice touch - but sat outside and we were plagued with mosquitoes. I’m badly bitten. I think the owner could do a better job of mosquito control. I’m a Florida resident but never get mosquitoes at my property.

We enjoyed having breakfast on the porch. All of the guests were very friendly and easy to talk to. We shared a common background— New Jersey— it felt like family. Our host who greeted us was the owner. she was delightful. She answered all of our questions and gave us excellent dinner suggestions. We took her suggestion of the Ics Plant and had a phenomenal meal. We highly recommend it. Fun fact — Penny Farthing is actually the name of a type of bicycle— the one with the large wheel in the front.

Location is excellent, very close to the histroric district but in a quiet road away from the hussle bussle. The property is quaint and quirky and staff very friendly and helpful.

The room I had been allocated was right next to the air conditioning unit and every time it struck up it created a noisy hum which lasted for some time, which made it very uncomfortable for sleeping. Perhaps it wouldn't bother heavy sleepers. However, the owner kindly moved me to a room across the way where the noise was hardly noticeable.

We loved the private front balcony with rocking chairs. Room was very pretty. Very comfy bed. Enjoyed the happy hour outside visiting with other guests

Wifi only worked intermittently. Website and staff on phone said vegetarian breakfast alternative was no problem but staff seemed unhappy when I reminded them and I was offered oatmeal as the only alternative all three days. They served an egg dish three days in a row which was a bit much for my husband with a heart condition.

we loved the location. Check-in was fast but not enough information. could have been more helpful. charming decor and loved the downstairs patio. Be sure to ask the size of rooms because they have nice an spacious rooms. we had a smaller room, which I booked, but bathroom was a nice size. close to town but still nice and quiet.

I can’t think of anything I’d change except I would have liked more info upon arrival.

The location was not as near to historical attractions as we were led to believe. The on-line listing seemed misleading as far as amenities went; would suggest calling in advance for clarification. The place was very hospitilable and mixing with the other guests for coffee/breakfast and happy hour was a great experience.

Room cleaning and/or towel service & trash service on a daily basis would be an improvement.

The Inn is located on a nice street and a convenient location for getting downtown. The Inn is well maintained and the host was very friendly. The breakfast was very good and nicely prepared. The bathroom was large with adequate amenities with a large tub/shower with ample hot water. The small, full-size, mattress was reasonably comfortable.

The room was very small, as was the full-size bed that went almost wall to wall, but adequate.

It was a very cozy and comfortable little space we got. I even mentioned that it felt like I was staying at a grandparents house. The room was great but the breakfast and coffee every morning was a wonderful start to the day. The parking offered enough room to pull in safely and the location was just a short walk from everything St. Augustine has to offer. I loved my weekend there and would defintely stay there again.

Nothing to complain about. Was a great weekend!

Lovely old building in a great location with easy access to the historic district, shopping and dining. The staff are wonderfully friendly and clearly care about their guests' satisfaction. I really enjoyed talking to them. Breakfast is made with love and the dining room is a cozy and relaxing space to meet other guests and plan your day.
