The hotel building was very nice overall. The interior was very well thought of and gave an overall relaxing beach vibe! The staff were incredibly friendly somewhat Inexperienced but did their absolute best to give us the best possible stay. The views were absolutely INCREDIBLE from the views of the rooms at the front of the hotel. The beach was so clean and tidy and very beautiful! Also empty as there was a monk seal giving birth which actually made it quite pleasant that there were no people on it. - you can still access the beach literally 30 seconds away! The hotel also provided a complimentary lei making class which was an extra added bonus because it was a beautiful experience and to learn a bit about the Hawaiin culture. To finalise the location was superb and at the quieter end of Waikiki meaning you didn’t experience over crowded beaches and spots.

The hotel building can be very deceiving when you book online. Let me explain … so my wife and i booked here for our honeymoon and I upgraded to a room which looked on the pictures to have a beach view overlooking Kiamana beach park. However when we arrived quite late at night, we realised that the hotel room we had upgraded to was intact in the park wing literally in the car park!! And nothing like the picture on the website. (I think that picture was the other side of the park wing, so be mindful) just because it cost more it actually didn’t work out to be at all a better view. Restaurant is pricey and waiters are a little average. However the food is spectacular hats off to the chef! <3 U!!!!

The room with corner view of the ocean and mountain, the activities were fun and enjoyable. Food was great at the Hau Tree. Housekeeping services were excellent, very responsive and prompt. Room and bathroom are always clean, the shower with the hand-held is best.

Slightly far from the major shopping/eateries of Waikiki, the bus is not as frequent as other locations like Waikiki. Hotel does not offer free parking, valet parking is $40 per day, that makes the car rental "double" expensive. Uber/Lyft service is good and reliable most of the time, but not as convenient as having your own transportation, one can only walk so far in a day, that's the only drawback. The Hotel should let their customers know that public parking or off street or other parking options available.

Very well run, smaller hotel on the quiet end of Waikiki beach. The staff was exceptional.

The bar was extremely overpriced.

The bay and beach are really good and the view from our 8th floor room was great.

The mattress was way too soft and hurt our backs and pointed it out to management but no solution was offered. The balcony only had one chair which they corrected. The balcony could use cleaning.

The room was perfect for a couple. The view from the balcony was beautiful, the bed was comfortable and there was plenty of space for our belongings. The air conditioner ran at a comfortable temperature which is not always the case. We loved having the beach right at the property and appreciated the beach chairs and towels. The water was perfect for swimming and we did enjoy watching the seal take a swim each morning. The lobby area was breezy and a beautiful place to gather before our daily activities. The Hau Tree restaurant was really special and I loved getting my iced coffee from the provisions store every morning. The on-site convenience store was a real bonus. We loved that the hotel was a bit further from the main street but it was an easy and enjoyable walk to get into town. I enjoyed yoga with Veronica, it was perfectly chill and adaptable for beginners and more experienced yogis.

I requested to book 5 spots for paddleboarding via the booking.com app before we arrived. The hotel asked for my email address so they could confirm the booking. I provided the details straight away but nobody replied to confirm the booking. When we arrived, I asked about the booking and was told that the booking was not confirmed so we could only have two people do the paddleboarding. While I was disappointed, I was most upset by the way that the staff spoke to me when I asked the question.

Great location, friendly staff.

Room was quite small even as a solo traveler, and the carpet seemed wet and dirty. Hau Tree is ridiculously expensive for what you get.

- Hawaiian owned and managed - quieter end of tourist strip, next to excellent public park - family suite in separate building had larger lanai overlooking park - smaller beach but steps down from hotel - lanai overlooking ocean - lovely classes: really enjoyed cultural background and fun teachers, e.g. ukulele and lei-making - very friendly and helpful staff - nicely designed interiors

- our ocean-side queen room was very small (obviously paying for the beautiful view from lanai, not excess interior space) - family suite in smaller building was slightly mildewy, so even though it was cool, we ran the air-con all day to clear out the air - not enough bikes available, so be sure to snag early as possible - not enough reception staff, so long and slow lines to receive beach equipment, ask questions, etc.

Great location away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki. The beach out the front of the hotel is perfect for swimming and relaxing. It is very close to parks, the aquarium and then to downtown Waikiki. The coffee is also excellent at the little cafe out the front of the hotel.

Only a minor comment. The hotel closed all of its food & beverage outlets (with the exception of the coffee shop which opened for half a day) one whole day for maintenance, including both the cafe and restaurant and there was no notice from management at all.

Excellent location, great staff, great housekeeping and valet, beach chair, and towel availability. Our Park Wing room was larger than the City View, and it was perfect for the 2 of us. Our room had lots of space for clothing and toiletries. There is a small convenience store at the entrance to the parking lot which has coffee, drinks, shirts, hats, gifts, and just about everything you could need, with a friendly, helpful staff. The Barefoot Beach Cafe is a short walk away and has delicious food and Pineapple Whips. The hotel is about a 10-15-minute walk to Waikiki if you want to avoid the parking hassles there.

Restaurant pricey. The website was a little confusing. We thought the $25/day fee for beach towels, chairs, and some activities was included in our room price. It's added separately each day. The beach was closed during our stay due to a monk seal having a pup there, so we didn't get to enjoy the convenience of the beach right at the hotel...which is why we chose the Kiamana.
