close proximity to everything and the beach

the slide was not working—the kids were excited about that, but sadly it was closed! There was ants everywhere in our first day checking in—we asked them to spray our room and it was better! The beach is right off the resort but not swim able—rough surf—maybe our timing was off… They should include a continental breakfast for the prices they charge—it is one of the most expensive places to stay

The staff was friendly and full of aloha spirit. The property is nice and only improving (the dark green they are painting the buildings is mod and stylish, and we hope they use that color throughout!) The ocean views and balconies are superlative. We loved the hot tub and waterfalls, and appreciated the food options and gift shop. All in all, the resort more than met our needs!

I only wish we could've had a late checkout OR at least access to a pool or spa shower facility. We had 10 hours before our flight and would've loved to get another swim or hike in. I realize the resort was fully booked the next night, but this issue must come up often, and some kind of shower access (as I understand other Kauai resorts offer) could solve it for many guests to come :)

The grounds and landscaping were beautiful and the view from our room spectacular.

The room was clean, but the furniture and carpeting were in poor condition. I think they were in the process of renovating, but hadn’t gotten to our room yet.

It was a casual environment, which is what we wanted. Wonderful staff, clean rooms, the swimming pools were great and the beach steps away. We had a great trip and the resort was just what we needed. We stayed for a week. We didn’t plan on leaving the resort but we did to go check out the island for the day. The resort isn’t convenient to any stores or restaurants walking distance but that is not what we intended the trip for but a fyi to others. The resort has plenty of options for food and drinks though is not all inclusive.

The grounds were great! Facilities were top notch and the restaurants were very good! The beach is walkable and the pool was a really nice time. I was really impressed driving up to the hotel and am happy with the choice of this property (had a great price as well!!)

The room were VERY outdated. It was a little shocking to see the rooms did not match the vibe that the lobby and grounds had. While the staff were VERY LOVELY and extremely helpful, waiting at the front desk was ALWAYS long. Seemed like there were only ever 2 people available, and unfortunately, the queue took at least 15 mins every time.

The amenities and the restaurant and location were incredible.

The AC did not work properly. The room was very moist. we woke up hot and sweaty.

The grounds were well maintained, attractive and clean. The lobby had multiple locations to be seated comfortably. The room was a little dated but clean and the staff were all very friendly.

We were initially booked in a room that was advertised as having a mountain view, but the majority of the view was of the roof with just the very top of one mountain. The room patio was not an inviting location to spend any time. We did talk with the front desk and were moved to a much better room location.

Staff was awesome. I've NEVER had maintenance reply at any hotel in my 30 years of professional travel. Your guy was great (can't remember his name and I didn't write it down), our frig went out and within 5 minutes your guy showed up and got us going!!!!

We chose your resort because of price and location, being central to North and South shore. However, you are kind of isolated with virtually nothing within walking distance. Additionally, you should have bike available.

Loved the location being on the beach and close to the airport. The whole resort was well maintained throughout the day and evening and looked very beautiful. Staff were very pleasant.

Didn't like the fact that there was no microwave in our room, no vending machine or ice machine on our floor, no microwave near, small beds, very expensive food, too small hot tub, no charging areas. The headboard shakes too much which apparently bothered our neighbor.
