The breakfast was wonderful with great options and service. Nice open air balcony with an ocean view. The pool was fantastic, always a place to sit. Cushioned lounges with a full service bar and a great wait staff. We had lunch at the pool every day. We also had a fabulous dinner in their terrace area among the trees with lights, making it quite an intimite experience. The food was excellent! We loved our villa room, so spacious with a kitchenette that they stocked with snacks and beverages for us. The bathroom had a great shower and tub. Everything felt luxury!

Room: The size of the room and bathroom was amazing. Lanai: Perfect for curling up and reading books. Pool: The pool had a great low-key vibe; the biggest perk of a boutique and adults-only property is the lack of screaming children and plenty of pool chair availability. Grounds: The grounds were vast and fun to explore. Transportation: Cars were readily available to take you wherever you want to go. Beach: Beach experience was perfect; they will take you there (2 minute drive), set you up with umbrella/chair/sunscreen/water, and pick you back up. So easy.

The prices are steep. We anticipated high prices and were STILL in a little bit of shock over the drink/food prices on property. There is nowhere to purchase any sundries. However, they can pop you down to the market in no time should you need to get anything, so not THAT big of a deal.

wow where to start, the resort is incredibly beautiful and extremely accommodating. the room is spacious, private, clean and overlooking the beach. complimentary drinks and snacks, comfy bed, wireless chargers, huge bathroom, but the staff is where i have to give credit. there is a complimentary shuttle service that will take you anywhere in the waileka area. kudos to charles, matt, kai, jordan, gustavo, michael, zane, and david. these guys are prompt, attentive, and friendly. i was sad to say goodbye to them. their sense of friendliness matches their sense of urgency. Then there was our waitress at the pool Bailey who was the sweetest friendlies girl. 10/10

This hotel was reserved for a couple celebrating their babymoon. During their stay, they commented on how friendly and professional the staff was. They enjoyed having breakfast on the ocean-view balcony. They did not rent a car in Maui, so the private shuttle service was ideal! They also enjoyed the pool and cabanas. They also enjoyed mocktails at The Birdcage Bar and a three-course dinner at The Restaurant on their last day on the island. Initially, they checked out of Hotel Wailea after three nights to stay in another hotel to explore the west side of the island, but they didn't like it and returned to Hotel Wailea for the rest of their time on the island.

The couple wish they didn't change hotel and were able to stay in the Celebration Room for the entire trip.

EVERYTHING! From check-in to check-out, everything at this hotel is worth celebrating. The premises itself are stunning and the facilities are wonderful. The hotel employees were friendly, gracious and helpful. The rooms themselves are large and have everything one would need for a comfortable stay - including complimentary snacks and drinks. The pool area is perfect to relax and enjoy the sun with poolside service. The shuttles are also convenient to take away the stresses of driving and/or parking. Having beach access with loungers and an umbrella just down the hill was also a pleasant treat. We also loved the restaurant for both breakfast and dinner. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel.

I wish we could have stayed longer. :)

This place is exceptional. A large resort but not a big brash noisy resort like some of the massive places nearer the beach. No kids...I repeat, no kids. The suites are large and comfortable. They're quiet and you do not hear noise at all from any other guests. The views are spectacular. We stayed in suite 71, the views were entirely unbroken so the sunsets were a treat (I've included a picture of one). Very comfortable bed and thoughtful touches such as wireless charges in convenient places. A well stocked fridge and a few snacks to get us started. The grounds are beautiful. Plenty of points of interest if you want a few minutes stroll. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Willing to chat or maintain the peace and quiet, they take the lead from the guest. The car service around Wailea is ideal. Instantly available, fast and comfortable. A few minutes ride to/from the beach, other hotels or restaurants in the area. The beach services were great. The folks down there were very friendly, setup loungers and provided towels and water etc. Perfect location. We managed to grab a cabana for one rainy day next to the pool. Very large and comfortable, staff always on hand to provide table service. Cabanas have loungers, sofas, ceiling fan, charging points and lights. The pool is the perfect size, seems to be warmed slightly. The jacuzzi was a delight. The restaurant view was exceptional. The food was very good and service (apart from one person at breakfast, but let's say she was having a bad day) also friendly and efficient. Did I mention there are no kids allowed. Worth mentioning just one more time...no kids.

Tiny things, easy to fix. TV - absolutely the worst TV service in history. Countless channels and options all entirely impossible to navigate. Not sure if it was Samsung TV+ service or something else the hotel chose but please, get rid of it. We just about managed to navigate to reruns of family ties, that was it for our trip. The AC was tricky to balance. It's the best AC in the world, to a point where you could store ice in the room and it wouldn't melt and you need that, given the hot temperatures. Try to adjust to be a little less cold, it's suddenly quite warm. Maybe some instructions to help get the right balance. A few extra options for breakfast. Pastries, fruit and some granola options (a small number of help yourself items perhaps).

I have never made a review in booking, but for this hotel I have to make the best review, even thought we had trouble with hot shower in the first day, the hotel did every possible to compensate the issue, providing us with an update and giving us 50% off and free breakfast, beside of that, I have never seen a more gentle staff and a more incredible service in my life!

The lights at the hotel at night could be better

the property is simply perfect. The staff are the best I’ve ever experienced in all my travels. the rooms are comfortable and appointed with everything you might want. Even though we had torrential rain for our entire trip (sub optimal indeed) the beauty of the place and the whales in the distance made our holiday restful and easy.

the prices in Maui are shocking. this hotel is no exception.

We booked dinner on our Wedding night. We were expecting the food to be of Michelin standard having read good reviews of the restaurant. Unfortunately, although the food was not of a poor standard, we expected more from the hotel. This was very disappointing as it was booked for a very special occasion.

Our second visit to Hotel Wailea after 4 years. Great hotel. Service level is world class. Restaurant best in maui. Great pool and poolside bar - barman is hilarious, like really good improvised theatre. Love the peaceful gardens - away from the beach but courtesy cars make this not a problem. Suites are superb - beautifully designed - those with sea views are perfect for sunset lovers.
