The location was great as we were visiting Clark Street Christmas bars! There are also many restaurants and everything you could need within walking distance. Check in was easy and there is an elevator. There was 24 hour coffee in the lobby and a microwave. There were 2 refrigerators in the King Suite...one as a very affordable mini bar and another for leftovers from Chicago deep dish leftovers! (delivered) The hotel was directly next to the train, but train noise was not an issue. (We did check and the train to ORD was 1hr. and 21 mins.) The rooms are heated by radiators, which work perfectly and the air conditioning is in the wall and controlled by the room occupant. The bathroom/shower was newly remodeled and loved the bright light! The bed was pillow top and super comfortable! There was parking available but we used spot hero easily.

It was a wonderful stay. Maybe an easy quick to grab breakfast item would have been helpful? Although I recommend going to Ann Sather restaurant before 3pm.

This is not a fancy hotel, but it is very clean, the bed was really comfortable and it is a great location steps away from the Red Line Belmont Stop. The staff was friendly and accommodating. You do hear some muffled "urban sounds", but the walls are thick plaster we did not find this a problem for our sleep. They do not serve food, but I appreciated the 24 hour coffee availability.

It is an old building that has been well maintained, but it did not have enough conveniently placed electrical plugs, and there was not light in the entryway of the room.

Conveniently close to the train and bus lines, and good local eateries along with concert venues. Despite it being so close the the train line and a concert venue you don't hear outside noise so it's a ++ And the mini bar selection was also +++

The elevator gave me horror movie vibes just for the fact that it's so small (4 person capacity) and is limited to 1. So if your in a hurry, the stairs it is. The only other thing I had to nitpick about was the drain in the tub was chipping away and looked like it was in the beginning stages of starting to rust. My trip was generally short (so I didn't need the shower), but if I did I would've avoided it for this reason. (Just a personal preference.

The room was small but clean and well set up. The building itself is older but has been well maintained and decorated. The location was perfect for my purposes.

It was very cold in Chicago (below zero degrees F) the night I arrived and my room was freezing. No hear was coming out of the radiator, and I turned on the wall heater but it didn’t really heat up the room. I ended up sleeping in my coat and doubling up the comforter around me to get through the night. I learned the next day from the front desk person that the radiator valves needed to be opened to heat the room. I don’t have radiators and would never have known that. I think the hotel should either turn on the heat on cold days or at least provide instructions for heating the room.

Great location on Belmont, right next to the train station for Brown and Red Lines. Also close to Wrigley Field, Lakeshore Park and plenty of shops, supermarkets, restaurants, etc in the vicinity. The hotel has a great vibe. The staff obviously take a pride in their work and are both helpful and courteous. Hot coffee always available in the lobby helped get each day off to a flying start

Couldn’t open either of the bedroom windows to let in fresh air. I understand this may be a security or safety requirement, but still…

The bed and bedding was extremely comfortable. The amenities were a nice quality. Location was convenient to the Belmont L stop (Red and Brown line) and close to several restaurants and shops - everything I needed was right there.

While the hotel being next to a L station is convenient it can also be very noisy, not just the train noise but i could her people shouting and yelling at night. The room had a window air conditioner and the noise seems to come in through that, perhaps it wouldn't be so bad in the summer when the air conditioner is running.

My Family was very pleased with the hotel, its location, cleanliness, and staff. The Cleaning staff on our floor was exceptional always saying hello and checking to see if we need anything She was wonderful we were in room 408

The male working the front desk was a bid rude when I asked for help navigating the immediate area so we actually went across the street to the store and they helped us. The other ladies that worked the front desk were awesome.

We chose this hotel because of its location and it was just perfect for us. Otherwise, it's a decent hotel. The complementary 24h coffee station was a nice extra.

I think what bothered us the most was the lack of natural light in the room, but I don't know if all rooms are this dark. There were decent sized windows, but the adjacent building blocked most of light.

It was nicely decorated and located right near to the L. It was quiet and very comfortable. The location felt safe and was within walking distance of several restaurants and stores.

It would have been nice to have a coffee maker in our room to keep from having to go to the lobby and hoping they had some there. The building also has a weird smell. It’s not horrible but is just a little off putting.

Have stayed here many times before due to the location of the hotel with regards to Wrigley Field and the CTA Red Line which zips you in town in just a few minutes. Only thing I miss is the free breakfast, it was a main reason for staying here.

Bring back the free breakfast! I'll be booking at the Best Western at Hawthorne for my next trip to Chicago, some friends stayed there and loved the free breakfast. Also, what is with the light switches in the bathroom? The lights turn off every 60 second or so leaving you in the dark unless you wave your hands like a crazy person to reactivate the lights. Bring back the breakfast and normal bathroom lights, please!
