Everything about our stay was great… except for the parking. The location is ideal for many of the more popular venues downtown, which was a major factor in our hotel selection since it meant that all the places we’d planned to go were practically around the corner. I expected to pay liberally for my vehicle to “stay the night” tucked safely away under the hotel - but it was a little shocking when I realized that, had each of us driven separately, the parking would’ve cost more than the actual room! Having previously lived in Lincoln Park, therefore understanding the value of every 8’ x 16’ piece of land in the city, the hefty cost wasn’t really an issue - it was the actual parking of the car that nearly landed us all in therapy for years to come. By the time we were able to figure out where the hotel garage was and hand the keys off to the valet, the poor person who’d been driving (for many hours, on many interstates) was in tears. Luckily, the bar is conveniently located - perhaps for this very reason? The whole 45-minute parking debacle was traumatizing (Saturday night with many events taking place nearby) and actually left us in a funk for the first few hours of our visit, but once everyone’s blood pressure returned to normal, we had a fantastic time. The hotel was sublime; it had a gorgeous ambience, cool artwork everywhere, and a friendly, helpful, and blessedly patient staff. Of particular interest to me were the custom works painted directly on the walls outside the lobby. I’m ashamed to admit that I actually took more photos of the hotel than of the people in our group or the activities we did. Our room was impeccably clean and quiet (though again, quite pricey; it, along with 4 Bulls/Pacers tickets, set me back over $1,000. Not the hotel’s fault, I know, but shockingly expensive nonetheless). With the luxury of hindsight, I’d say the parking situation can be summed up with one word… quagmire; but our hotel/room selection was perfect.
Parking - figuring out how and where to park on a busy Chicago weekend evening with many events being held in the immediate vicinity (and the customary accompanying traffic) was a challenge of the highest order… or at least it seemed that way to me. I left my heart in Chicago when I moved away - but I’ll never miss what I came to think of as the “parking plague”. Even taking advantage of the hotel valet AND being familiar with the city wasn’t enough to make it easy. That said, I feel compelled to say that it alone was the only issue we had that weekend. Everything else related to our stay in that lovely hotel was smooth sailing.

Spacious room and perfect location to explore the city.
They claim to have a restaurant on site. In fact, the restaurant is fully independent and we were put on a 1.5h waitlist when we tried to get breakfast.

The value for the room was really good. We got lots of bonus things like a credit to the bar, free yoga classes, free tickets to sports museum all included in our price. It is literally right across the street from the House of Blues which is a must if you stay in this area. We were surrounded by lots of different food options. Overall the staff was super friendly, the room was beautiful, and the amenities were great! We would certainly stay here again for our next visit.
The only "complaints" are small; the windows don't crack and there is no active vent fan in the bathroom, so it got pretty humid in our room. Additionally, the fitness room was pretty small for the size of the hotel by comparison, but we were able to get a good workout in regardless.

Nice, clean rooms and excellent location. If you want to be near the Riverwalk or River North, this is a great choice.
You can tell this is an older property renovated to be an Autograph. There were a few things in need of updating, such as the over the bed wall sconce and lack of USB ports (I finally found one in the alarm clock). I never used the credit that came with the $15 destination fee. They should skip the destination fee and just include it in the room rate.

The hotel was right next to the venue that I was seeing a concert at. The staff were all fantastic and very helpful. I also felt very safe while I stayed there. The hotel is situated within walking distance of almost everything.
I did not like the view from my room but that was understandable being in a big city and having to change my room. When booking, the website was confusing as to how many beds there actually were but the staff helped me out when I got there without any issues.

the service. I made a mistake on my booking, but didn’t know it for several days. when I came to the hotel, I was under the impression I had booked two beds. the woman at the front desk seemed confused, and while I didn’t yell at anyone, I was definitely confused and showed it. she accommodated me by fixing the booking, and did so politely and quickly. when I found out it had been my mistake, I was slightly embarrassed of course, but also grateful. all the credit in the world for the service of whomever checked me in
no vending machines or drinks for sale

The front desk staff was phenomenal! We arrived several hours early and they did not hesitate to allow us an early check in and asked if they could change/upgrade my room type to make our stay more comfortable! Also, one morning there was an issue with room service and we could not order and they remedied the situation immediately by allowing us access to the lounge and providing us with complimentary breakfast.

Excellent location, right next to the house of blues which was our purpose of staying. Plenty of things to do near by
Valet was a bit pricey but par for the course in Chicago. We checked in, and was given a room that was already taken. We went to the room and someone else’s stuff was in it. Luckily they were not doing anything bad or it would of been embarrassing. It was a big pain

The room was very clean, tidy and spacious. Very quiet, no loud people or doors slamming. The elevators were super fast. There was a breakfast restaurant right next to it. I could not ask for better location either. The hotel is right next to the House of Blues, it is also half a block away from the Chicago river and basically surrounded by bars, restaurants and night clubs. The Millennium Park is just a few minutes walking distance. Close to several museums. Staff was also great. It has a front parking space so you can get your suitcases off the vehicle while you check in/out. Plenty of parking garages nearby. All in all I recommend this hotel. I almost forgot to mention that the hotel also has a bar in the lobby although I did not get any drinks but perfect setup for getting some drinks while waiting on someone or just hanging out.
I wish it had a better coffee maker. Good enough to get you going but not great.
