The Emily Hotel's location was great, super close to the subway to go to the more touristy areas, and the neighborhood was full of hip bars and restaurants. I stayed here for the Chicago marathon and has a super easy access to the event with the subway. The staff was very nice, i got to store my luggage before check-in and after check-out. The room was very spacious and clean and had many amenities. I got a welcome card with some snacks and water which was a very nice touch. The only negatives were the view (I had a view over a ventilation system on which people where working so I kept the blinds closed) which didn't really matter as i was out exploring the city during the day and the lack of slippers (as I forgot to bring my all). All in all I had a great experience and these two small negative points didn't really affect my trip. Most importantly, the room was super clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. Would definitely recommend!

Beautiful hotel located in the revitalized West Loop area of Chicago. Was heavily industrial area at one time, but now full of shopping a restaurants. I would consider this a boutique hotel, rooms are decent sized and have unique touches, like simple retro furniture, shelving and lighting. Walls are painted dark gray and add to the "cozy" feel of the room. The extra's like a fully stocked wine fridge and snacks available for purchase add a bit of "luxury" to the room. The room was super quiet even though our room was right over the outdoor patio. Great for couples or a girls weekend. Staff was super nice and helpful.

I wished I could have stayed for more then one night. The price of this hotel is on the higher side and there are added fees like parking (if you want your vehicle parked on site) and the mini bar add if you choose to take advantage. For the money, staying one night is pretty pricey. There were other amenities offered by the hotel like a rooftop bar and movie theater which I hear are cool in the summer. But that should not deter anyone if you are looking to stay somewhere nice and enjoy some of Chicago's unique qualities.

The staff were incredibly kind and it was definitely the best part of my stay. I hope they all get raises, especially the night crew. The pillows were really comfortable and fluffy too. The rooms are really lovely and the amenities available, like having an umbrella to use and malin + goetz shampoo, conditioner and body wash were really good. It really came in handy, as I was extending my stay last minute and had run out of some essentials. They also let me check in early which was really great! They were kind enough to give me a bunch of extra makeup remover wipes as one wasn’t enough to take off my waterproof/smudge proof stuff. There is also a steamer in the closet which was really handy.

The location was not for me. It’s in the west loop and incredibly touristy. The night life was very clubby and the restaurants and attractions in the area were not my thing. I think it would be for a lot of people but if you want to explore neighbourhoods in the north like wicker park, Logan square, Avondale and beyond, it was hard getting an Uber and a little far. It was the only draw back. If you can get a spot at duck duck goat, though for dim sum, it’s awesome and is right around the corner. Also, the toilet paper was awful. Like sandpaper:D Everything else was great.

Great location! Loved the ease from which I could get from the airport to the hotel and access the transit system in general without needing to rent a car. Tons of amazing restaurants in the area and super close and easy to get to downtown. Rooms are very clean and the beds are comfortable.

There is no coffee maker in the room, you have to go purchase it from their cafe downstairs each day. Additionally, the rooms are lacking in shelf space with no drawers and limited hangers supplied, so it did feel like I couldn't fully unpack throughout my stay. Also, the fridge is full of items you can purchase, but this leaves barely any room to use the fridge for any personal items you may bring in.

The hotel is very nice and we loved the location for some amazing cocktail bars and restaurants. The Fulton Market area is all around you and it is very close to the train and not far from The United Center. We had some great cocktails at Fora. We tried to go to Selva but it was not open when we were free to go. The room was nice and plenty of room to store luggage.

The pillows were very flat and uncomfortable. There are no USB plugs anywhere in the room, make sure you have plug adapters!

Great location near the city centre, restaurants and bars. Bed was super comfortable, great gym, rooftop cinema and bars in the actual hotel. Great value for money.

In rook refreshments and snacks are expensive. Water should be free at least. TV wasn't good, no Netflix or anything, doesn't sync via screen mirroring with iPhones. Good thing I brought my Google TV otherwise it would have been a bit boring sitting in the room. Wifi also doesn't sync well with my Chromecast so had to use hotspot.

The staff were all friendly and extremely helpful. They went beyond the basic job requirements in making our stay as enjoyable as possible. The room was clean and spacious and felt comfortable when we spent time in it. The Emily is situated close enough to plenty of restaurants, bars, clubs, public transportation and other attractions but also felt like it was separated enough from the crowds and the noise when we just wanted to relax. The rooftop cinema was added bonus as was the rooftop bar.

There was nothing we didn’t like about the hotel or the property.

The hotel's facilities were generally very good and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. It's in an interesting part of the City and well connected for transport into the Loop via the L-line at Morgan (3 minutes), although there are plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance. Housekeeping was good, although could be late in the day. Rooms are decorated in an urban-chic sort of way.

Main drawback was the other guests. On two occasions I was awoken to what sounded like a frat party when the guests in an adjoining room arrived back in the early hours. I had to complain to the hotel staff. This seems to be a combination of less than ideal soundproofing (hard surfaces used for decoration) but also because the hipster location of the hotel (it's opposite a Google office) seems to have encouraged a certain type of "look at me having fun" guest. The location of the sink outside the bathroom is a bit weird (and possibly unhygienic). I'll put the noise issue down to bad luck and would stay here again.

Rooms were clean, spacious, and stocked with everything you may need. The location is great as well.

Although we were on the fourth floor (highest floor ir goes to) the window was facing the generators/vents on the roof. I’m not sure if the buzzing was coming from there but we had to ask for earplugs and front desk was able to provide those for us.

The reception staff were excellent, especially Leo who went out of his way on a number of occasions. The room was big and the bed very comfortable. Housekeeping was also excellent, the rooms were very clean.

It was a bit too trendy for us, more suited to young professionals maybe and not for families. The lobby was a bit busy and noisy on occasion.
