I was celebrating a birthday for my fiancé. I shared that with the hotel. Upon my arrival to the room, I saw that the hotel gave us complimentary champagne and macaroons. My fiancé loved that they did that. The beds were very comfortable. Just the right firmness that I like. I also liked the free breakfast. The Peacock Room had a lovely atmosphere and the food was delicious. Their shrimp and grits are the best I've ever had. The location of the hotel is great. Right in the heart of downtown French Quarter. Bourbon Street was a few blocks away. It was very much in walking distance. It wa also a 5 minute drive from Jackson Square.

I didn't like that there wasn't a room fridge or microwave in the room. One of the doors of the closet would not close properly. My fiancé complained to me about the carpet. It looked like it needed to be steam cleaned. The bed comforter was not replaced every day.

The Fontenot is located in the Warehouse District, close to the river and it has a lot of character. We were able to walk to most of the well known attractions, also to the trolley car routes .The first room we were allocated was very disappointing, with one window looking onto the airconditioning duct and no chairs to sit on. This might be all right for an overnight stay, but we were there for 4 nights, so on request, we were moved to a larger . brighter room with a good view. Thankyou for being flexible. It made a huge difference to our stay in NOLA.

The attractive dining room did not open for breakfast until 9am, although the coffee shop was adequate for a quick meal.

The staff is top-notch, truly delightful, and so helpful. The beds are heavenly, and we'll seek to mimic that in our own home -- so comfy. And the location was perfect -- we had a great stay and look forward to visiting in the future.

The room needed some maintenance. The carpet had a stain and snag, and one of our headboards was falling apart. While it ultimately didn't affect our enjoyment of the room, it did take a teeny bit of shine away. They did check me quite early so there might not have been an opportunity to communicate the needed repair between the staff.

The staff was excellent. Shout out to Kristine and Ray. They went above and beyond to display the true sense of hospitality you would want from a high end hotel group. Early check in and late check out are just a couple of stand out offers that we really appreciated even though we stayed for just one night. The coffee shop and restaurant on premises, complimentary coffee, baked goods and bikes were over the top amenities that were unexpected. The room itself was beyond comfortable and it was hard to leave. The location was convenient to everything and the area felt safe which was important to us. All in all, our experience with Kimpton New Orleans was pretty much perfect.

The only thing that could use feedback is the lack of ventilation in the bathroom. Other than that everything was really awesome. If it's in your budget, this hotel aims to please and we recommend it highly.

The property was well located , really beautiful ambience, nice interiors , very clean , staff was very friendly & helpful. it was so close to everything around .

The breakfast was really inadequate for the price , very small portions , it wasn’t up to the mark at all . The coffee also wasn’t included in the price , this was a first in all the years of my travel .

I loved the very relaxed vibe. great interiors of the lounge, lobby and restaurant. Staff were all notably nice. great location and super quiet.

I sound like a total Karen but the music in the lobby area was loud and always on. couldn’t hang out and make a quiet phone call. Room carpets need to be replaced or freshened up.

Beautiful hotel! Very nice room. The staff was great and very friendly, full of great suggestions for restaurants and entertainment. Free coffee for guests and wine hour in the evening were also a nice touch. 15 min. walk to French Quarter or WWII museum.

The only suggestion we have is firmer pillows, but that's our personal preference.

Hotel is in the middle of town, and a walking (15 minutes) from the french quarter. Staff was friendly and the rooms are very large. The view from my room in the river was great.

They do not have coffee in the rooms, so if you are for late night work, you may be disappointed. They also do not have a buffet breakfast. Instead you can choose from a cart up to a certain sum.

Everything was clean. The bar had some nice high end cognacs. Room was modern and very nice.

Check in was frustrating. Waited about 1 hour and 15 minutes past suggested check in time of 4pm. Even though I told the employee at the front desk to text me when our room was ready, I didn't find out it was ready until I went up and asked. Who knows how much longer we would have waited. At check out they tried to charge us for a bottle of water even though we took nothing from the room. For that kind of money check in and out should be smooth and efficient. After reviewing this writing I noticed a score of 8.0 was listed. I did not give this room any rating!! It's upsetting because when I read people's reviews, I put a lot of faith in them thinking it's truly there writing. Now I'm not so sure.

The rooms are spacious -very big and nicely decorated with bright colours. There were plenty of sockets and I especially liked the night table that had integrated USB ports and sockets on the side so you can charge all your devices from there, no need to go behind it to the wall.

The bathroom is very big and the shower looks great. But, it is designed in a way that every time you shower, a lot of water is going outside. And no mater how much I tried and turned the shower head, the water was flowing out, completely soaking two big towels.
