pretty much everything about this exceeded expectations. the staff was very friendly and accommodating, the room was comfortable and the location cannot be beat.

the only complaint was that we put out the housekeeping tag on the housekeeping side, but the room was not made up and towels not replaced. they did send up towels very quickly when we got back to the room and called. this may have been a misunderstanding, as we put out the tag but also checked off something we wanted on the back. there was also a couple who basically camped out on the chairs outside their room, which happened to be at the top of the stairs, so it was pretty awkward any time we (or anyone) needed to get up or down, but that's not really the hotel's fault.

The location was perfect, allowing access by foot to the entire shopping district and waterfront. The facilities were clean, the staff extremely attentive. They even had family- and child-oriented activities on a daily basis: s’mores and hotdogs over a fire pit, arts and crafts, and stuffed animal giveaways. I haven’t seen this level of care and attention at any other hotel or motel.

I can’t think of anything. It wasn’t super fancy, but I’d take this over fancy any day.

Breakfast is included and was a nice surprise! The location of the motel is great! We walked downtown and around Bar Harbor while leaving our car at the motel. The room is newly updated and has a clean modern flair. The size is good as well for 2 people. We stayed in room with a king size bed.

Lighting in the room was very dim and at night there is no light at all. We bought and used a nightlight. The bathroom floor and tub are slippery! Wouldn't recommend for older folk.

The room itself was spacious and comfortable, which is a rarity among other motel rooms. My friend and I also appreciated that the main door automatically locked from the outside, seeing how forgetful we both are in locking/unlocking things; we always had the keys, luckily, so there was no issue at all.

The door was a bit difficult to unlock (at least for my friend), but little things like that are what makes vacations memorable! We both enjoyed our stay in the room.

Ooh this was a great find. There is so much attention to detail in this place from the warm and friendly welcome to the restful decor and great room facilities. It was without doubt the most comfortable room we stayed in during our 4 weeks and it was a bonus to get the great breakfast service too. The pastries were delicious and so was the coffee. My husband even got a decent cup of tea. I loved the welcome pack. It gave information relating to the motel and its facilities and also for the local area. It also had door hangers for you to indicate to housekeeping whether you required any cleaning or extra supplies. It made a nice change t find refillable shower gel and shampoo dispensers. The staff here are very commited to the environment as well as to the welfare of their guests. The room was nice and quiet with parking just outside, a bonus in this area. Everything was in walking distance of the motel so position was good too. I highly reccomend this place. Our stay was great and if we are ever back in the Bar Harbour area we will stay here.

Excellent motel bang on in the centre of Bar Harbor! Amazing beds, the bathroom was brand new and the toiletries very nice and quality. The room was spotless and everything in working order. The breakfast was simple but well organised and sufficient. It was so cool doing a bit of people watching from the balcony, Bar Harbor is such a lovely little town, very touristic. Such a great little motel at great prices ( we did go off season)

Sadly the pool was not operational

Great location! The motel was right on the main street so we didn't have to worry about finding a spot or paying for parking. If you have ever been to Bar Harbor then you know finding a spot is tricky in the summer! The room was a good size and very clean. The bathroom was large and the shower had excellent pressure with product dispensers. The breakfast area was clean and the staff served the food which is more sanitary. All of the staff were friendly.

Breakfast was good for what it was. It was more of a grab and go not a full breakfast. The rooms were clean, bed was comfortable, the shower had good water pressure, and there were plenty of towels. The location was perfect. We walked to just about everything Bar Harbor had to offer. Would stay again if we return. 👍

If breakfast was a full buffet style, that would have been great.

Every single one of the staff were really friendly and the location is central to everything. On a hot day it's also great to be able to come back to the outdoor pool and chat with other guests, (they also seem to be open and friendly). It is very good value compared to other accomodation in Bar Harbor, but keep in mind that I'm not American and find all accommodation in America amazingly expensive! I really liked how clean it was and as long as you're not expecting luxury and acknowledge that this is a motel, you won't find a better choice in Bar Harbor. It was also very convenient being able to pop across to the included breakfast. Nothing flash, but perfectly adequate.

- Few breakfast options - and if you don't show up early enough, there will most likely be even fewer (no boiled eggs left at 7 am, seriously?)... - No microwave in the room - Coming from Europe, we found almost everything in Bar Harbor unreasonably expensive - the room rate was no exception...
