I have family that live in the area, and who have also stayed at this hotel. Apparently the hotel had "gone downhill" in the past few years, but I did not find to be the case. We had a clean room with a comfortable bed. My husband accidentally left a pair of his shoes behind in the room after we checked out. We went to the front desk, and within two minutes someone brought the shoes down. We were in Cumberland for the weekend to ride the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad, and the hotel is walking distance from the station.

The breakfast left something to be desired; there could have been more options. There were biscuits and sausage gravy, and there were hard boiled eggs in a refrigerator, but there was no other ready made hot food, like eggs, bacon, etc.

personnel at hotel were excellent, especially guy who checked me in a gave me info about town and attentive woman who oversaw breakfast (she came in every five minutes to check about toast, coffee, etc.) -- the town is very historic and many people there are old and many do not have a lot of money -- sort of a museum, but I like museums ! -- the town has very good bookstores and antique stores, catering to wealthy people who live in area 200 miles to the east _ I attended a poetry reading by John (? name) Slocomb and saw and heard playing of dulcimer and fiddle at Episcopal church in one of the photos -- but overall the town is poor, many not happy

price higher than I expected but that was because a convention was at the hotel -- a convention of Shriners clowns -- very old-fashioned people, all men, people my age and they were nice to me - many were assembled at front door of place smoking cigarettes each time I entered or left - I do a lot of walking -- I would have sent these pictures sooner but it takes a lot of TIME to develop B/W photos -- I am not very adept with web sites and could not figure out how to rotate photos, sorry

Easy access to the bike trail and downtown pedestrian shopping area. We came in with our bikes and the room with a king size bed had plenty of space for both our bikes and the flooring was laminate instead of carpet, which was nice with the bikes. The breakfast was adequate and the seating area for the breakfast was nice and large.

The view from our room was the roof and a parking garage, but we didn't really pay for a view. So just pulled the curtains.

the room was nice and big. The bathroom also was roomy. The location was easy to find and not far from the C&O Canal Path away. In walking distance there were some fast food restaurants and the brewerie.

For a european it was not so easy to get in the hotels wifi. For me the breakfast was very poor. There were grits and waffels you had to make yourself. Or a coockie or toast you had to prepare.

Location and price were great. Bed was comfy. I could have used more pillows.

The front office staff wasn't friendly or overly helpful. I had to ask about bfast. I had to ask about check out time. I had to ask where my room was. She just kind of gave me a key card and said nothing. I'm pretty certain she was watching Netflix on her phone.

The location was perfect for my needs. The room was comfortable. The staff was exceptional and found an item that I had left in the room and secured it before I realized it was missing.

It took a moment to figure out that parking was available on both sides of the building.

I use this as a starting point for the Cumberland and Ohio canal trail to Washington DC. I stored my bike in the room with me. The rate was reasonable and The accommodations are on par with Ramada

The breakfast was lacking and there we're very few people using the restaurant or the provided breakfast.

The location was great near the center of town with many restaurants and shopping within walking distance. The C&O and GAP bicycle trails start three blocks from its location. The purpose of stay was to sleep and rest after a long day of bicycle riding and the Ramada fit. The bed was comfortable, the shower was hot, and the staff very helpful. The motel kept the grounds very clean.

My room was against the back of the motel and next to the train tracks. There was train traffic during the night that woke me.

Wasn't far from the things we wanted to go do. Fore axes was right next door an rocky gap was only up the road.

The trains. The toilet paper roll was all but gone when we got there, the parking was kinda hard to find a spot.

The hotel was very nice. We had a great time. We stayed one night to go to the Rocky Gap State Park the next day. The cicadas are surprisingly way more loud than i could have imagined so this was a good choice 😉. The hotel was clean, comfortable and accomodating. Grab and go rather than continental breakfasts but that was okay to us. The front desk guy was so super nice. I think he was the manager of this hotel. He was kind and kept an easy flow of conversation going. I appreciate when people just put you at ease with their presence.

It was a little confusing to find. I didnt see the sign on the side of the street the gps told us to pull into. But that is definately not a huge issue. The gps directions are accurate.
