Oak Mar Motel is located about 1/4 from Oakland, MD. on Route219. We have stayed here many times and it seems better each time. The staff is wonderful. Very accommodating. Our room was very clean. We requested a mobility challenged room on the 1st floor. Spacious room with walk-in shower, double beds, mini fridge, microwave. Beds and pillows were comfortable. AC was easily adjustable. Additional, Third St. Diner is on 1st floor of Motel. Very good home cooked food. Don't miss the dessert case. You should order 1 of each!! If you're travelling and need a place to stay, give Oak Mar your business. Youll Love it. We'll be back soon!!😎😎

Nothing to Not like.

I have been coming to Oakland area for some 60+ years and it's the first time I ever paid to stay and I couldn't wait to stay there. I never spent much time walking in Oakland and I enjoyed the heck out of that!! Great location for exploring the town. The diner connected with Oak-Mark is awesome and the breakfast gives you a great start!

Room decor was cheery, bright, and has been up-dated over the years. Shower area was lovely and yes, the water was hot! Motel has a restaurant serving food made from scratch, including desserts!

Door-Locks. I would have felt more secure with a more trusted system.

This hotel is in a great location! The staff are extremely friendly! The evening shift desk lady sat and talked waterfalls with me! So nice! We loved our stay here better than a chain hotel!! It was GREAT!!

No free breakfast. The diner next door has amazing food that tastes great and friendly service. But…it is on the pricey side!

Mattress was very comfortable. Just the right amount of blankets and bedspread for the temperatures. The room was clean. The location is very easy to find and convenient.

IT was very clean, however the smell of cleaning products was very strong. We could have used two more towels since we're girls, one for body, one for our hair.

Rooms were very beautiful you could tell they were recently remodeled. The entire motel has been kept up with. The attached restaurant was superb beautiful on the inside with fast and friendly service. it was a very pleasurable experience to stay here I will be back for sure.

Diner on site has excellent breakfast and can get coffee to go. Renovated room with updated bathroom. Owner is nice and accommodating to requests. Hanging flower baskets are a nice touch. Would stay here again.

Beds were comfortable but very squeaky and need to be replaced.

Very Good Breakfast

Monday was Holiday and the Restaurant was closed for Breakfast, they should have at least Coffee ☕️ at the Lobby or Coffee maker at the room.

Breakfast not offered but they have a restaurant. We did not eat there but did get coffee to go. We asked for a ground floor room when reserving and got a handicap room which served our needs. Rooms clean although could use some updates.

Fairly recently remodeled. The room was clean and in good order. There was a restaurant attached that served great comfort food.

The shower curtain for the walkin bath could have been a heavier weight or had weights in the bottom. When I or my spouse got a shower the floor got washed too.
