Everything was very close by

The air-conditioned was very loud and the people staying in the next were up late slamming the patio door and the kids screaming in hallway late at night also the pool is falling apart! I was swimming and stepped on a piece of concrete in the pool! I'm a diabetic and that wasn't good! Oh, and the so called Bar and Grill (Finnegans), no food, no servers, very rude bartender who didn't want to serve us at the table because he couldn't leave the bar! That place was a joke, we had to go somewhere else!

I’ve stayed here before but I love that they have an indoor and outdoor rooftop pool. It’s close to the beach, the staff is super friendly and helpful. We needed extra pillows and towels and they were quick to bring them to our room. We had a sweet view of a little canal for boats behind the hotel. Although in OC you are not far from anything since every block has another hotel, restaurants, an ice cream spot(Dumsers), a bar(Seacrets), a mini golf course(Nicks), Sunsations, the list goes on…I would stay here again. The only downfall to this location is the boardwalk is about 20 blocks away from the hotel. You could walk(it might take you awhile), you can drive(good luck finding parking without having to pay) or you can pay a small $4 fee per person to ride the bus up and down coastal all day!

Bed aren’t super comfy, elevators are slow and our neighbor had a little barking dog late at night & early in the morning. Other than that - no complaints.

The fridge made lots of noise at night while trying to sleep. There were no extra blankets in the room. While I was loading the car I got locked out of my room because the room key stops working at 11 am on the dot.

The rooftop pool needs to be repaired and renovated and cleaned more often. The hotel on the outside of the structure is missing parts and they should fix this. Also, the furniture in the lobby is dirty and should be professionally cleaned or replaced and chair covers that can be washed placed on them. We should be able to open our room windows for fresh air on days we don’t need AC. This saves money, helps the natural environment and is healthier for us to breathe. Some of the buttons in the elevators no longer light up and should be repaired. One of the beds in our room was broken and needs replacing. We need more umbrellas on the rooftop pool area. The lounge chairs and tables and chairs should be washed down and wiped down with disinfectant soap everyday.

The room was a tad dated but very clean. Front desk was wonderful and very helpful. Staff was very friendly. From the website, I was expecting alot more. But rooftop pool wasnt opened yet and bar was only open friday and sat. Said it had a hot tub and didnt. No biggie. All-in-all good trip

Beach at the hotel was full of garbage. Not that it's their fault, but someone should really clean that up. Our king size room that we booked had a balcony that stared at another building. No view of anything, but another balcony. When asked about a bayview room the front desk accommodated. (for an upcharge which we were fine with.) Indoor heated pool was a bit chilly..

Everything was great! We were short on towels but housekeeping was tight there to give us more.

Inconsiderate people who checked in on our last night and ran up and down the halls yelling, slammed doors, went out on the balconies and yelling to friends a few rooms further down the hall. At 4 a.m. a man across the alley came out on his balcony and yelled "shut up" telling this noisy group to be a little more respectful of people sleeping. Police arrived a few hours later. We had 5 people in our room, 2 of them children so this conduct was NOT acceptable and when we checked out the next morning, the girl at the desk acted like she had no idea what my husband was talking about. Next time we'll request a bay room on a lower floor.

It’s a short walk away from the beach, and the staff was extremely friendly and made my boyfriend and I feel welcomed every time we passed them at the front desk! Plus, the private beach is a great location to watch the sunset. Overall great value for the stay!

The beds were a little stiff, but not terribly uncomfortable. We also missed maid service by one door while we were getting ready to head out for dinner. We thought they would’ve still came since they were working on the room right next to us, but we came back with the “maid service” sign still on our door and our room wasn’t touched. Not sure if that’s standard at all hotels, but we were a bit disappointed that they didn’t backtrack by one room.

Didn’t know about breakfast,I know for next time,the check out was at 11 morning,we wanted go beach 1 more time they wouldn’t let us stay till noon to shower after beach that wasn’t good customer service I won’t return to this hotel again…

We wanted go beach 1 more time asked to check out at noon instead of 11,they said no that wasn’t good customer service,I’ll never return to this hotel again….wish the pool was outdoor pool,it was humid with no ventilation…on photos it showed the beach right next to hotel in reality we had go across 6 lane highway and another block to reach the sand beach…

The location was perfect and what is great is that they have an outdoor pool, indoor pool and a bayside beach so you have options other than the ocean beach. The beds were also a big surprise in that they were memory foam and so comfy. Our room had a gorgeous balcony overlooking the bay and was just wonderful for sunsets. We were also able to sit outside as my daughter slept and enjoy the beautiful night. The kitchenette had literally everything we could have needed- even a full sized dishwasher!

I originally booked in the north building which is where the indoor pool is located and the room was quite small and tight. I luckily was able to upgrade to the south building which is where the outdoor pool was located and bayside beach was. I would definitely recommend the south building if you have the extra money to spend. The balcony was worth it. I will say the elevators smelled a little "burny" and need to be upgraded and the hallway was smelly and the decor could be updated. But it's also a beach hotel that has wet sand kids running around, not the Four Seasons so I took it with a grain of salt.

The property is close to the beach, Seacrets and has the use of the bay. The bay, beach area, was much cleaner and looked a lot better than it had in the past. You added more palm trees, lounges, and chairs. It is much more comfortable on the bay.

There was a Dead Sea creature at the edge of the water, st the bay, and when one of the facility workers was alerted to this, he simply moved it to the rocks instead of removing it all together. It should have been removed from the property. There was a slight smell that came from it. There could have been more wash cloths. The biggest problem was the slow drainage in the tub. Once we showed, the drain was slow, leaving a ring around the tub. We were constantly cleaning the tub because the water did not drain well after our showers.
