Located on Charles Street where it joins Cambridge St, this hotel is the heart of Beacon Hill. Interiors are modern clean, crisp monochrome with alluring collection of art and artefacts for the senses. Great efforts are made from front of house to guest suites to be sustainable and it really enhances the guest impression. The bathroom potions and lotions are a delight for the senses and promote calm and relaxation…bergamot, oud, pink pepper, amber. Amongst the fresh soft luxurious monogramed fluffy white robes and towels are cloths for makeup removal - smart! Room temperature is adjustable and the air quality was superb. Amongst the most comfortable super king bed I’ve slept in, mattress, pillows and linens are all 100% natural and the Egyptian cotton linen is supreme. The Whitney exudes calm sophistication brought through to the pre check in experience by Carol and carried through by James to front of house concierge upon arrival. James looked after our itinerary, reservations, ferry travel options and chauffeur services both for ourselves and visiting guests. This duo are another level delivering the finest exclusive guest experience you’ll find anywhere in the world. Their recommendations made our trip and we are grateful for their kindness to ensure our stay exceeded all our expectations. they bring the wow to the Whitney and the guest experience.

That we had to leave!! We loved the hotel and the guest experience. Everyone should have a James in their life!

Almost everything was perfect, but we gave it a 10 anyway :) Check-in process was smooth and I think we got upgraded, but we're not sure. Joyce and Carol went above and beyond!!! They made us feel home and they were trying their best to accommodate our requests. For instance, we bought some bubble tea but the room didn't have a fridge, so Joyce provided us with a portable fridge. When we checked out and it was pouring out there and we needed to cross the street to access the T station, Carol said we could take the umbrella. The restaurants is also a non-tipping establishment, which gave us the impression that the hotel takes care of its employees well. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. It was so good that we didn't want to go out :) The neighbourhood is the best of Boston (in our opinion) and is conveniently located next to a T station.

If you could lower the price per night a bit, we'd love to stay longer. But in a way we also understand that since this is a boutique hotel with no expansive branches, covering all the expenses is this hotel's sole 'responsibility' (not getting financial support from other branches or HQ). We still hope to come back. Thank you Hotel Whitney for making our four-day trip a memorable one!!

Everything was fantastic, the staff were very helpful & friendly. I had a very early start the one day and the man on reception waited with me outside for my taxi. Always services with a smile and good conversation. The food in the restaurant was delicious at breakfast - we didn't get a chance to try it for dinner but it smelt delicious and the bar service was great. Our room was lovely, great bathroom (shower) and the bed was very comfortable. The fitness suite was small but more than enough for what I needed and had a good array of equipment. Everything was spotlessly clean. We wouldn't hesitate to book the hotel again for our next visit.

We wouldn't change a thing!

I always choose to stay here whenever I’m in Boston. It’s my number one. The staff always look after me . It feels like home m with a great location just in the edge of the busy beacon hill district. The location is great and service wonderful and you can walk anywhere in Boston from back bay to the park. Lovely comfortable rooms. Great feel to the hotel in a small boutique way. Highly Recommended …

Facilities are a bit short, the bar / restaurant closes too early and has limited menu and trading hours. It’s expensive not great value for money… but then so is Boston.

The hotel is very centrally located in the Beacon Hill district of Boston. There are a wide range of restaurants and bars within walking distance. Boston Common and the shops on Newbury Street are also a short walk away. There is also the Massachusetts General Hospital/Charles Street T station right opposite the hotel. Although it was very centrally located, my room was very quiet. I also enjoyed my breakfast of scrambled eggs with toast. Staff were always very friendly and helpful with special mention given to manager Joyce, who made my stay a joy.

The lobby restaurant and bar is extremely popular in the evening so it was quite lively and hard to have conversations in the lobby during this time.

Great hotel, really good location across from the train and near everything that we wanted, outside noise was not an issue as windows were treated. Staff were were fantastic and very helpful. Manny on reception was exceptional but they were all great and very welcoming.

little bit of noise from via floor from upstairs room but as we were on holidays and going to baseball etc it was not really an issue unless they were catching an early flight.. still recommend.

The location , so easy to reach any destination. We were here for the Mass hospital and the location of the hotel was very convenient . The front desk staff are very warm and welcoming it felt like we know them personally , they recommended many places and restaurants that we enjoyed after our appointments . Also we liked the hotel lobby and restaurant , they serve an excellent brunch menu . We appreciate the cleanness of the hotel and the Luxury of having The Grown Alchemist in our bathroom , it felt like home for us .

We like room service so a lot can improve in this domain .

The location was great. Right next to Charles Esplanade and MGH red line station. It was on the Charles Street. I like the interior and also the exterior, the old brick walls of the building The room was very nice and comfy. Very clean. I like the amenities and slippers too.

It was quite expensive. I think overall, the nice hotels in Boston are very expensive. The day I checked out, my card keys were not working for some reason, so I had to go to the front desk twice.

Beautiful hotel with a very comfortable room. The bed was wonderful and even though it was close to a busy street, we could hear nothing from the outside. The front desk was very attentive and helpful. The location at the foot of Beacon Hill was perfect.

The only downside was that the pillows were very stiff and hard. I was asking for something more fluffy, but nothing was available.

Great location and comfy bed. Also water, cookies and apples every day! Quiet location despite being next to an intersection. Beacon hill at your doorstep. Charles street has great boutiques. Love how you’re next to the esplanade.

Very little closet space, missed a bath and what’s with drilling in the morning (1x)? If you ask they will bring an awesome tea kettle.
