you are smack in the middle of the action, but it's relatively quiet. everything the city has to offer in the downtown area can be explored on foot.
at first i thought it's unfortunate that they don't offer breakfast. but there are some nice spots in walking distance for excellent breakfast.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Location of hotel perfect. Comfortable bed and linens were very nice. We were upgraded without our asking and had no complaints. We were even given a wonderful bottle of wine. Thanks.
We really can’t think of anything.

Location couldn’t be better! The Boston Common, the WNDR Museum, shopping, theater and sightseeing all right there. The staff were exceptional! We stay at a lot of hotels in Boston and other cities, and the staff here were friendly, courteous, and actually seem to enjoy their jobs. The doorman Modesto not only assisted with luggage and loose children, but served as translator at the front desk as needed with at least one foreign speaking visitor. The room, lobby and elevators were spotless.
This hotel is in the middle of the theater District so bring your earplugs and find the White Noise app on your phone!

We had a very lovely greeting, and allowed to check into our room around 1:00PM. The rooms were incredibly clean, and such a large layout. This hotel was perfect for our 4 night stay in Boston. We walked to everything from this location, from the entire Freedom Trail to Fenway Park. There is tons of shopping and fabulous restaurants close to this location. Check out Cafe Bonjour for breakfast, and the Cheers Bar was our fav touristy spot. Then head to Tresca or Antica Forno in the North End for the most amazing Italian food of your life. Bova's and Mike's Pastries are a must try.
We had a great experience, nothing noticed. We even happened upon the 104th Feast of St. Anthony in the North End - it was such an incredible trip!

Loved the coffee shop on the ground floor off of the lobby and the welcome drink voucher you received upon check in for a glass of wine, beer, prosecco or a mocktail. It was a nice way to wind down the day in the lobby or get started by having a chance to get a latte and surprisingly good pastry on your way out the door. The staff was accommodating and quick to help and the rooms were a good size for a city hotel. The location was also very convenient.
The cost of parking was sorta high for $60 per day and because of circumstances, the hotel uses a parking garage a bit further away from the hotel so you have to plan very accordingly if you need your vehicle because they need a decent amount of notice although the valet employees were very quick to respond to a text or request.

Wonderful location. Extremely friendly and informative staff from the front desk to the doormen. Very clean rooms and comfortable beds. Big windows. It was a. Ice touch that upon arrival we were given free vouchers for drinks at the lobby bar. I imagine this perk will not be around for very long, but it was an unexpected one. Very close to a large parking garage around the corner. Overall our stay was better than expected. To note, some reviews mentioned being bothered by street noise. We had a street facing room on the 10th floor and any noise was minimal (and I’m a light sleeper). Also, the walls were quite soundproof as I never would have guessed that anyone else was staying on our floor.
The only thing that could have made it better would be a mini fridge. That’s about it.

Delighted with our stay at the Godfrey. The location was perfect as a short trip from the airport and centrally located to shops, bars and restaurants. It was also in close proximity to Boston Commons and subway stations. The room we selected was extremely spacious and spotless. The complimentary bottles of water were a nice bonus and we used the coffee shop connected to the hotel for some quality refreshments to start each day. Staff were very friendly and happy to help if you needed anything. Would love to stay here again if we return to Boston.

Literally everything. The location was amazing, the building was beautiful, the staff were friendly and so helpful - the best service I have had at a hotel. The rooms were nice and comfy, stocked with complimentary snacks and water. The building was secure requiring key cards to go up the elevator and key card to get into the hotel at late hours. The free bar drink was great, and amazing suggestions for food. I have zero complaints and would recommend coming here to anyone. If we come back to Boston I will be staying here again.
There was nothing to complain about.

The bed and bedding were excellent. We loved the very adjustable thermostat in the room. The shower was good with plenty of hot water and water pressure. Decent toiletries. The free snacks and bottled water were such a nice touch.
The lighting was really dim in the room, with areas where no light would reach. The TV didn't work our first night, and they had to call engineering for a slow drain in the sink, but they did address the latter two when asked. Another robe when there are two people in the room would have been nice, as well as a couple robe hooks in the bathroom.

The room was comfortable! Soft bed, well stocked bathroom, and we loved that several things could be requested via the tv! The location is great. A short walk to Chinatown, and Boston Common. An easy walk to South Station. Also right next to a T station, for more travel options.
The only things we disliked were the sliding "barn door" on the bathroom (they're clunky, and don't close off the bathroom from the rest of the room as well), and the lighting in the room was a bit low (one light over the door area, a small lamps on the desk and each side of the bed).
