This is (I think) an older property - kind of a classic American motel - and, to tell you the truth, I didn't have high expectations. What I found, however, was a property in tip-top shape, loving run by a family that had bought the property in 2015 (and had eventually been able to buy a second motel). The bathrooms had been completely remodeled, in a very nice way. Everything else was great too -- especially the service! I checked in rather late, but I was cheerily welcomed. Then, I could not get the a/c to turn on, and someone else gladly accompanied me back to my room to assist me. As it happened, entirely my fault.) Then, 10 minutes after that, I could not get the TV to turn on and, yet again, someone gladly walked me back to figure that out too. (Apparently, someone had left it unplugged after cleaning the room.) All in all, a wonderful place to stay. I wish I could have stayed another night!

I wouldn't say I didn't like it, but the complimentary breakfast was quite basic. But, for the traveler looking for more, there was a wonderful breakfast/lunch place within walking distance (called the Chef's Hat), which I certainly recommend.

This vintage-style motel is set back from the road - no traffic noise. In fact, almost no sound penetrated the walls even though the folks next to us had small children. Very comfy bed and nice linens, refreshed the second day. The room was clean and in good condition. A breakfast included basic continental items.

The room was small, and a desk/table, small couch, chair and dresser took up a lot of room. The breakfast eating area was very small, though trays were provided to take back to room. View out the back window was an untidy lawn area.

It's strange how different places can look from the day to night. I had to stop to ask for directions, not easy as there weren't many people about. Although I was within 250 yards of my destination it seemed remote. In the daylight what a difference, not exactly the centre of Metropolis but certainly more built up than imagined. Friendly and helpful manager to greet me though a later than planned arrival. If you are arriving later, as I did, and in winter, eating first is a good idea.

All good. Nothing to not like about the place. Perhaps a bit far out of Williamstown but then I like to walk to places.

I was surprised at the clean/quiet user friendly facility. This is the at a very reasonable price. I saw none of the hallmarks of a cheap room ie unclean unkept corners poor paint jobs broken un repaired bath areas etc. Everything was in pristine shape. I obviously only slept in one room but room 102 was exactly what I describe. My good wishes to the owner that he succeeds with his business. I will go again. JD

Location was easy to find, on the edge of Williamstown. Staff person we met, who also looked after cleaning our room, was friendly, efficient and helpful. Good parking area. Quiet location. Good basic breakfast options. Flexible arrival time - late arrival - was accommodated.

Price was quite high per night - due to the music festival in the nearby town of North Adams. But we were glad to have this room.

Breakfast started a 8, we already left. The rooms are nice and clean and comfortable. The walls, trim, bathrooms looked newly renovated. Refrigerator, air, micro, coffee maker. Has all you need in a small room. Love the door that exited right outside. The grounds were well manicured with nice little swing sitting areas.. would definitely recommed and use this place again. Kuddos to the people who make your stay nice and maintaining it so well.

I enjoyed my stay at the Villager Motel. It was a step up from the usual motels in the area. The room was average size, the bed was comfy, and the bathroom looked recently renovated.

The room had too much furniture, and the antique pieces were too big. An extra chair wasn't necessary. It didn't really fit. The shower was obviously low-flow, which I understand, but it took forever to get all the shampoo out of my hair. The towels were a bit on the thin side. They took away from the ambiance of the room.

We enjoyed pretty much everything about this classic motel. Clean, well-maintained, good curtains, no old-motel smells, windows had good seals, quiet, nice wood swings in the grass for kids (or even adults). Even the continental breakfast was fine, because we had the small breakfast room and the toasters mostly to ourselves rather than having to wrestle through a crowd.

No complaints. Well done.

This is a nice, family-run motel. The breakfast was very generous, and appreciated. There are picnic tables and chairs outside to enjoy.

Well, train tracks are right behind the motel. You can't see them due to foliage, so, I jumped right out of my skin the first time a train went by -- I thought an airplane was crashing on us!! But, once you get used to it, and know what to expect, it was fine.

The motel was very easy to find, and in a great location. The check in process was easy, the room was clean and comfortable, and included a refrigerator and microwave. Had a great night's sleep there, and enjoyed the fresh fruit, yogurt, fresh bagels and English muffins in the office area the next morning. Coffee, tea and orange juice also available. I would definitely recommend this place.
