The motel was clean inside and outside, even with accepting dogs it smelled fresh and clean. It is a positive and welcoming atmosphere. The rooms are spacious and comfortable including the bathrooms. The tvs have an awesome variety of channels for all ages. The beds are big and comfy. Definitely recommend this hotel above the other hotels in the area.

The beds only had three pillows which need to be updated and the bathrooms had no basic bathroom amenities such as shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, toothbrush, and toothpaste, etc...

Love the design and style!!! This should be the standard for all "traveler" accomidations. Appears easy to clean and sturdy construction. The public can help by treating it accordingly. As its all pretty new time will tell. The convincing review for me was "this has got to be the nicest Motel 6" in the country. The Hilton could take a few lessons from the desk staff.

Not a pet lover. (lots of reasons) So it was nice to see the 3d floor as designated NO pets.

I was very pleased with the staff and their hospitality and friendly attitude. Calling me, a half hour after checking in ,to see if everything was up to standard, was impressive. In my comings and goings, the staff always was cordial. The Euro-design of furnishings was a surprise, along with no carpeted flooring; but loved the walk -in, spacious shower. Pricing was 70 dollars Less than the motel I had used several times when visiting Mankato, MN. I am not sure the reason for their increase ( Easter weekend ?). This is why I took a chance and switched. Honestly, after years of having a not so stellar reputation - THIS Motel 6 - changed my attitude. Hopefully the Mankato Motel 6 will continue to be a shining beacon in this franchise. And see you all next trip !!

Brand new property in a convenient area right off the highway. Decent breakfast offerings. Very clean. We had our dog with us and there’s a walking path along the property. Our room had laminate flooring instead of carpet which we felt made sense in a dog friendly room. Friendly staff.

Pretty bare bones but adequate for the price. A box of tissues in the room would have been nice.

Motel 6 is not typically where I try to stay when traveling. My husband and I were in Mankato with our dog and that always limits lodging options. The other dog-friendly hotels nearby were poorly rated and this Motel 6 had high ratings on all of the platforms I looked at. They are well deserved. The hotel is new, incredibly clean, and comfortable. It's as nice as a more expensive class of hotel. They are also very accommodating to pets. They were welcoming, they provide bags so that you can easily clean up after your dog, and the pet-friendly rooms are on the first floor. Reception was polite and professional and they were sweet to our dog. I am not sure if this is the case in the rooms not meant for pets, but ours had hard flooring instead of carpet. Hotel carpet can get kind of gross over time and not having it made the room feel nicer and newer. I wish that more hotels would go that route. It was also quiet at night. Our dog is a sweetheart, but like most dogs likes to protect us. We've stayed places where there is a lot of foot traffic in the hallways all night and he constantly wakes up to growl at the door. This Motel 6 was really quiet after ten pm. Overall I was really happy with this place and would recommend it.

The wifi isn't great, but it's usable for checking email.

Wet friendly staff and clean

We forgot to ask at checkin if there was a military discount. We asked the next day and we’re told yes there is a discount but it has to be applied at or before checkin so they could adjust the rate. I understand we forgot to ask at checkin, but there has to be a way to adjust a rate after checkin for something like that.

After a long day of travel, the check-in staff actually engaged me in a wonderful conversation (not just idle chatting). It Truely made me feel welcome and relaxed after the tribulations of the day's travel.

Vending machine only took $1 bills (credit card acceptance would have been nice) which I like to use as tips to the cleaning staff

I have never stayed at a motel 6 and didn’t realize how low frills it was. The property was very clean and staff friendly and place was quiet but it was soooo expensive for what I got and felt like I was staying in a dorm. This was the only option and clearly rates skyrocketed and apparently had the last room - a single queen for two

The value for what I paid

I have always had a great experience at Mankato Motel 6. It is clean, comfortable, affordable, close to shopping. I appreciate their security. The staff is always pleasant. It is my go to in Mankato.

The last couple of times I have noticed the doors to foyer have NOT been locked ( about midnight). I like the idea of having to swipe with your door key to enter facility. It gives one a more sense of security.

The property is clean, no-frills but a great place to stay. They welcome pets & have motorcycle parking - both important for us.

We had our dog with us and were assigned to room 101 - right off the lobby. Lots of lobby noise, etc. kept our dog on "high alert". Would have been better to be farther down the hall.
