Fantastic stay! We booked the last room on a road trip up to Kellogg and they were able to accommodate us quickly. The beds were very comfortable and room is spacious enough to set up our pack n play while still having space to move around. This is a traditional stay right off the highway but you can't hear the road! What a beautiful property. Plenty of space for children to play. I wish we had the opportunity to stay longer.

We loved the outside space, with the fire in the evenings, so chummy. Our room was also great, it seemed over full of stuff on first glance but it turned out to be super livable, kitchen well equipped, never a hint of bad mood from anyone in the family or anyone else stay at or working at the hotel, all round lovely experience.

A lockable screen door or open-able window in the front to let the air move through (though I know its probably not often as hot as it was when we were there.

I loved the check in process, which was just getting the code to the room texted to us before check in. That is so convenient not to have to wait in a line to check in or go through a process at a desk. The room was clean, cool and had everything we needed. Will definitely stay here again.

Loved that there is a grassy area for the kids to run around and play. They had disc golf, badminton, football, volleyball, a firepit, and an archery range (bring your own bow, which we did have with us). I have two active boys and we enjoyed the outside time. Also, the best restaurant in the little town is about 350ft from the Lodge. A very short walk for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

Location was great.. restaurant/bar run by same people just feet from motel. Great food and drinks.

Room was hot...had a fan running but just temperatures were hot in an area where there is normally not a need for AC.

I went to take the family with to experience the enjoyment I get out of Montana. The staff and provisions were excellent. You don’t always get what you look forward to. This time we did!!

Mosquitoes 😕

Beautiful scenery and easy access to hop in back on the road. Private parking right next to the room was convenient especially at times like this. Room was clean & quiet. Spacious for 2 people. Towels and linens were clean. Warm water & heater was good especially during the cold Montana nights. Pet friendly.

Bathroom floor was creaking. No air-condition so it can get humid inside during the day. Room smelled like dog pee probably because of the carpet.  Be aware of the gas station near Melrose bar. Pay in cash. Using card, get charge with erroneous amount.

Everyone was so friendly!! The little cabin that we stayed in was so cute! The setting is beautiful! We had a regular size fridge and stove, microwave, crockpot, toaster, coffee pot...ALL the comforts of home!!!

I always hate this part! LOL BUT, there were a few things... There was no air conditioning!!!! It was in the mid to upper 90's while we were there and that cabin was HOT!!!!! They did supply a nice fan but just one small window unit would have made a world of difference. The 2 twin beds in the bedroom were way too high and way too soft, but when you're tired it works... The last thing was the toilet is WAY too low for old, fat travelers with bad knees! :)

Excellent location. Very comfortable and family friendly! Nice to have a kitchenette with all appliances. Very nice cabin.

Cabin and rustic. Clean, comfortable, and pet friendly. The Hitchin Post is the small restaurant and bar that is located right next to the property. Good food and friendly staff.
