I stayed at the Mardi Gras many years ago and I chose it again due to its location near the convention center. It was funny, very little had changed. The same bartender was there. The location for the monorail and convention center is excellent. The little restaurant/bar is surprisingly good and the staff is great. I got sick while there and the staff genuinely were concerned for my health and checked on me whenever they saw me.

I can't say I didn't like it because it is just a fact. The Mardi Gras is old, so it doesn't compare to some of the newer locations on or off the Strip. As I told my wife though, if you're in Vegas how often are you in your room. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. What else do you really need?

Convince of parking very close to the room and not having to drag luggage all the way from parking garage through casinos to get to room like in bigger casinos. Close to the strip. Pool hours opened till 9pm. Great value. Friedly staff. The grounds were always clean and ash trays around the facility were always emptied and trash cans were always empty. Enjoyed having a mini fridge counter space and divider between the beds. Quick strait shot to the airport.

Not having the room cleaned every day. However when we asked for fresh towels there was never an issue. No in room coffee pot or microwave. Had to pay for coffee at the bar.

Restaurant served good food, and all the staff were courteous. Room needed some repairs, but the room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Has plenty of towels for our needs. There is a small refrigerator in the room, which was greatly appreciated. The elevator was a blessing, but is very small - just enough room for us and our luggage! The pool and hot tub were sparkling clean, and there were speakers in that area playing classic rock music. Has a small casino with older games (Texas Tea - max bet was 45 cents!), which was convenient for early morning or late night fun. Won a little bit, so we were happy! Also located within walking distance of the monorail. And a short distance from the strip! Parking at the hotel was free, which most of all the hotels now charge for parking.

There was no coffee maker in the room, though it is shown in the photos. Nor was there a safe, which is disappointing when you are in Vegas! The room was next to the stairwell, so there were lots of noises late at night. The fan in the bathroom needs to be replaced, as it screams when it's turned on. Toilet seat also needs to be replaced - a bolt was missing. They charged for coffee and drinks, with only one refill : ( Being located close to the police station, there were some shady-looking people hanging around public areas. We had no confrontations, but we were cautious to stick together and be aware of our surroundings.

A hotel that used to be something now converted into something of a motel standard. However, this is not a drawback. Round-the-clock service, great gentlemen at the front desk! Rooms clean, spacious, well-equipped although the equipment has the best years behind it (for example, you can collapse in the couch), but everything works. The hotel has a bar, a casino and a swimming pool. Spacious parking lot, great location as a base for going to The Strip (even on foot in about 30minutes), worse to Freemont Street but there its easier to park a car. The neighborhood is rather safe. It's also close to several stores. Easy access to and exit from LV. I would love to stay there again especially at this price!

“Hey there! Just wanted to leave a quick note about my stay at your hotel. Firstly, the room was incredibly spacious, which was a huge plus for me. Secondly, having free parking and the option to go for a swim downstairs in the evenings was fantastic. The hotel’s proximity to the city center made it super convenient for getting around easily

Now, let’s get to the drawbacks. The hotel facilities were a bit outdated, but I understand that it’s the Vegas city center, so some noise downstairs during the night is expected. However, I found that staying on the third floor provided a slightly quieter experience. Lastly, the room’s air conditioning could get a bit noisy

The room was in good shape and had very comfy beds. Loved that it was close to lots of stuff

When we checked in all the towels were wet but The front desk took care of that problem very quickly. The bartender was rude and spent most of her time either on her phone or talking with regular customers. And the food wasn't very good.

Large room. Separate areas for the two Queen beds would be good for families with younger kids (not relevant in my case). The rooms are accessed from outside without having to go into the casino other than check-in

Noisy. Wouldn't consider or discuss possibilities for late check-out for evening flight even though i was prepared to pay extra IF my room had been available. Room was ok for what I paid as last minute deal, but would be seriously overpriced for facilities provided at the regular rate

the staff is awesome… every last one of them! As a woman traveling solo to a lower end hotel is always a crap shoot but I was very pleasantly thrilled with my stay. Manager upgraded me to a pool view suite without asking and everyone went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. Does it need some upgrades, yes but everything was super clean for the dated decor. it had everything I needed except a gym. I didn’t book for luxury, I booked for convenience and proximity.

I wish it had a workout facility. the neighborhood wasn’t a walkable one in the dark or early mornings.

Was a nice size room, nice to have a fridge to keep drinks cold. Overall was a decent stay.

2 things I did not like they said ask about the possibility of a late check out was only an extra 30 mins, I. Use to pay the a few Xtra dollars and get couple extra hours to check out. Also the mattress felt like they were from when th e place first opened up old hard spring mattress that kill your back, did not get much good sleep, was uncomfortable and painful to lay on there beds.

The location was close to everything. The hotel clerk gave us a room with a view of the strip. They had a casino downstairs that I won a little mothers day change. We also really loved the buffet they have every morning. This property is very nice and the room exceeded our expectations. I will be staying here again!

I didn't have any complaints! They made my Mother's Day weekend so amazing!
