This is not the Holiday Inn or any other overpriced chain hotel. If that the kind of bland, unimaginative place you want to stay in, go somewhere else. This is a real 1950s style motel that has been lovingly maintained and refurbished. The owners have clearly worked hard to provide a comfortable, spotlessly clean accommodation with a home-like feel. Perhaps all the furnishings don’t quite match but what is there is clean, well kept and in good order. When I checked in I was met by a charming man who obviously takes great pride in his establishment. He is a wealth of knowledge about the surrounding area, more than happy to provide useful suggestions about where to eat, etc. The bathroom has been nicely updated, the bed was comfy, the fridge and microwave handy. There is no in-room coffee maker but good quality coffee is available in the lobby 24hours a day.

There is nothing to dislike - I would happily book this motel again.

The Profile Motel is in the heart of the Franconia Notch region of the White Mountains. It’s minutes from “civilization” (restaurants, grocery stores, movie theaters, etc.), and almost as close to some superb hiking. The motel itself appears to be an old one that has been updated with a lot of thoughtfulness and care — our room had new windows, a mini fridge, comfortable furnishings, and was very clean. The proprietors have coffee and ice available 24/7 in the small reception area, along with local hiking books and maps and helpful advice on local trails.

The location!! Close enough yet not toooo close to local attractions, so it still gives plenty of privacy & it was great for stargazing as well!! We stayed in one of the cottages. Which was perfect! Gave even more of a sense of privacy. The pool was perfect for just cooling down on a hot day when you didn’t want to or didn’t many plans for the day. Just relax by the pool. The owner is so welcoming! He was always more than willing to help & accommodate in every & any way he could. Wanted to make sure everyone was happy & more than satisfied with their stay! Plus always such a happy personality! His staff also VERY NICE & welcoming, also always happy & smiling. Loved it here!! Will most definitely be trying to go back again next year!!! Cottages are best I feel for a couple or a parent & 1-2 kids.. They gave us a blow up mattress for my daughter as she is at that age where she “can’t” share the same bed as me 😂. She was comfy. She loved the relaxed energy of the entire place, & loved going to the stream out back of the cottage. It was peaceful for her, and she was more than happy to just spend an hour or two searching through all the rocks & seeing if she could find any frogs or fish lol. She’s 14 & still loves the little things in life.

There wasn’t anything to “not like” haha. This place was perfect!

I love coming back to this spot! The facilities are always clean and if you need anything, staff is always around. It’s right next to fantastic variety of hikes in Franconia State Park. There is a fridge and microwave in the room, no lockers, hot water was never a problem, toiletries. They offer complimentary tea/coffee at the front desk. The staff are the nicest people ready to help with anything. The territory of the motel itself is nice to walk around. Parking provided.

For the value, it was great!

Staying in the cottage was a great experience. The owner went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The room was very clean and comfortable, and I only wished we were staying longer to enjoy the screened in porch. I highly recommend staying in this nice husband-and-wife run inn.

Nice, older motel. The owners are on-site and went out of their way to make our stay good. They are very familiar with the area and had recommendations that were perfect for us There are good restaurants and shopping nearby, and the wonderful Franconia Notch recreational opportunities. The the facilities are old, but the bathroom had been modernized. We liked it enough to extend our stay.

The owners were so nice and stayed up beyond the usual check in time to give us our keys. They also recommended a great hike (Aretha falls and Frankenstein cliffs) that we enjoyed a lot. The room was very comfortable and clean. The location just off the interstate was also very convenient. Overall a wonderful stay!

Coming from a family that owned a motel for 30 years, I always try to find family owned places to stay. This place is truly a hidden gem in the White mountains. Not very often do you find a place that truly takes pride in not only appearance but friendly service and cleanliness. I've never stayed in a motel room that was so clean! Queen size bed was very comfortable and the water pressure was off the hook! I will definitely stay here again on my next hiking trip in the Whites!

The room was very clean and everything in the room was working perfectly. The staff was very friendly and available at any time. They have a nice coffee machine in the office with many tea options and a campfire outside. I didn’t get a chance to check out the pool this time, but it looked pretty good.

The walls are not soundproof, so if you’re a light sleeper and have noisy neighbors, it might be a challenge. I had excellent quiet surroundings and I sleep tight. It didn’t bother me.
