Staff were very friendly and helpful. Really clean, modern hotel right in the centre of Manchester and near to the river. Bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. Good breakfast with quite a lot of variety. Free water machine. Quite good value for money. I really enjoyed Manchester too. The Millyard museum is fantastic, as is the Currier museum and the Frank Lloyd Wright houses tour. I found some good bars (Strange Brew Tavern was my favourite) and restaurants (Thai Food Connection). And there are lots of great walks to do in and around the city such as Stark Park, Dorrs Pond, Massabesic Lake and the rail trail.

I liked the location. It was close to everything including the highway. The bed was very comfortable. The room was clean and modern. I like the shower and the shampoo and conditioner bottles.
I was on a floor that also had a wedding party. They were very loud in the hallway at 11pm for about 10 minutes but were quiet the rest of the night. I personally like bars of soap for the bathroom. The squeeze bottle was just okay. Parking was unusual. I went to a function in Manchester and returned to the hotel around 10pm. I had asked about the additional parking lot when I checked in earlier that afternoon so I knew where to park if I returned late and the lot was full. I thought the front desk should mention at check in that if you are returning late and the lot is full, there is a parking garage owned by the hotel around the corner.

After many hours of traveling, our arrival at the Tru by Hilton Manchester Downtown was not only pleasing but reassuring. Parking was easy, the entry/lobby was cheerful, the check-in was straightforward and friendly, our room was bright, orderly and welcoming, and the WLAN/Internet worked well. We followed the advice of the receptionist, walked two blocks and had a tasty but inexpensive late dinner at a small Thai cafe/restaurant. I might add that the room was comfortable, of reasonable size, and quiet, and the bathroom was in very good condition and attractive as well. The breakfast was very satisfactory -- plenty of choice, buffet kept neat and well stocked, sufficient places to sit in a well-ventilated area.
For our one-night stay our room was great. For a longer stay it would be nice to have a coffee maker, a mini refrigerator, more shelves or drawers, more clothes-hangers, . . .

The breakfast was very good. I like good scrambled eggs and they had them. I would like a bigger selection of hot items, but I know that may not ever return. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was exceptional! I missed having a microwave and a coffee maker.
There were several young children in the lobby when we were playing a card game there in the evening. The parents weren't controlling them at all. We missed having a microwave and coffee maker in the room. The price was higher than we're used to paying.

Dog friendly with an amazing view of the millyard and river. Very close to downtown restaurants and entertainment. Loved the decor.
This was a dog friendly hotel with one small bit of green space for the dogs in a very inconvenient location, as there was only one way in and out of the building without setting off the alarms. The space was near a visible homeless camp and felt unsafe.

We had tickets to see a Christmas Carole at the Palace Theater and stayed at the Tru due to location. The hotel is just a short walk, even shorter drive, to the main drag and if the weather had been better we could have walked up. We showed up an hour early and were able to check right in. It is a newer hotel so everything was clean and fresh. We had a double queen and had plenty of room for 2 people. Might be a little snug for 4 people and not a ton of storage but overall we were very pleased with the room. All staff were extremely friendly and very helpful.
As I mentioned, not a ton of storage but we were not there for a long stay. If you had more luggage it may be a small inconvenience. Was not an issue for us.

love everything about it and would definitely comeback
we are in a pandemic. though masks are not required inside the hotel, I opted to wear mine while in the common areas especially that I am headed to places that require wearing one, so I just have it on. Sadly, I got verbally attacked by another guest on the same floor as mine screaming and yelling at me for wearing a mask. It ruined my mood as I was minding my own business. i just wanted to tell that Karen what does it has to do with her but her choice, my choice. I work in healthcare, much as I hate wearing it, I am just being responsible.

The floor plan of the room was well thoughtout. It was spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable .Plenty of room in the bathroom. Staff was friendly.
There wasn't enough washclothes in the room only 1 for two people. There was no coffee pot in the room wich was fine for a 1night stay but not for an extended stay. They do offer free coffee in the lobby though .Closest area was minimal ,but again it would be fine for a couple of nights stay but for an extended stay for some.

I didn’t realize they charged for parking until I got my receipt. just add it to the room price. don’t put extra charges. ridiculous. you don’t charge your customers to park. Doesn’t make sense. you greet your guest with open arms. The life we live in today. charge for this. charge for that. let’s look for something else. Room rate. simple. Don’t put extras. smh
