Beautiful Inn with a wonderful porch that had fantastic views. Bernadette made me feel so welcome and is an absolutely talented baker. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful- I cannot begin to describe how wonderful the meals were. I enjoyed interacting with the other guests, Bernadette and the ladies that worked there. The bed was perfect and I am very particular about the mattress- it was a perfect medium. The room was clean, spacious, well presented and comfortable. I did enjoy the availability of cold beverages/coffee that were provided. This B&B is in league with some I have stayed at in Europe. The town of Meredith was very close and had some wonderful shops and restaurants. I will stay again!!:)

Bernadette and her staff provide a very relaxing and most enjoyable atmosphere in which to stay, the rooms are very well-appointed relaxing and comfortable. You have access to other lounge areas, veranda and garden as well as your room. There are also local walking trails within the property. The views are exceptional, especially on the veranda during the evenings. Breakfast is freshly cooked that morning and divine, more than sufficient. Good location for the lakes and Meredith with its shops and restaurants, it's not really a walking distance though. Good access to the White Mountain area and other local points of interest.

Absolutely nothing

We went up for Laconia and this location was close to all the festivities. The Inn was comfy and the grounds were beautiful with an amazing wrap around porch with seating, felt just like at home. Bernadine was an excellent host and amazing cook. The mini fridge was available to all and was always stocked with cold drinks whenever you wanted one. We couldn’t have asked for anything more. The included breakfast was amazing. The best food we had while in Laconia. The recipes were out of this world. There is a garage available for motorcycle parking. She really has everything covered. We have already rebooked for next year!

One of my favorite places to stay in the world! The breakfast is excellent! The room is well decorated, spacious, comfortable and a great view! The bed is perfect! I got a great purse in the gift shop. Bernadette is one in a million, more like staying at an old friend's house. Love the experience of staying at Ballard House!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was a lovely old house, beautifully furnished and decorated so that it really kept it's character. Bernadette couldn't have been a better host, nothing was too much trouble and the breakfasts were all amazing. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate, wine and beer all freely available which was a nice touch. It's just off the main road so very easy to get around, and wasn't at all noisy, even though we had a room overlooking the road. Would definitely recommend!

Really beautiful colonial style BnB. Friendly inn keeper. Nice seating area in the living rooms. Tons of porch seating spaces over looking the backyard and sunset. Very charming BnB with lots of unique characters. Breakfast was delicious, and the pancake was super soft. This beats any 5 star chain hotel with its beautiful colonial style charms throughout the entire house.

Since it is an old wood house, the floor creaks -- this is part of the charm. However, it does bother my sleep with foot steps from upstairs. I am a super light sleeper.

Bernadette, the owner/host seemed to really want me to be happy. She even arranged to make an appointment to get my hair cut. The inn is spotless. I didn't partake of breakfast, but it certainly smelled great. I'd recommend this to anyone wanting a comfortable, upscale northern NH inn experience.

My room was in the front and I could hear the road noise pretty clearly. It is what it is, but since I'm a light sleeper that would be my only negative comment. Everything else was perfect.

The location is amazing right near everything. Old house charm incredibly clean and well taken care of both inside and out plenty of parking and an extra bonus if you ride a motorcycle the ability to keep it inside the barn and out of the elements were not riding.

this is an easy question to answer there wasn’t anything I didn’t like I was very happy my wife as well. We both work very hard and have very little time to do things together after raising three children so the time we have is precious we could not have been happier.

The owners were very friendly and accommodating. Property was very charming and beautiful. Breakfast is included as well as complimentary beer, wine and soda. My bed was soft and comfortable. There was a nice big shower in my room and an electric fireplace. Very quiet on the inside, made sleeping very nice. I cannot say enough good things about this place. I was very impressed and will stay again.

Even though we arrived later than their check-in window, Bernadette could not have been nicer. She stayed to get us settled and gave me a lot of information about the area. The Inn is small and quaint and informal. We loved it. We met some lovely people there and enjoyed the common areas. We had a wonderful breakfast with everyone at a long dining room table in the morning. We were only there for one night but felt the location was perfect.
