lovely 19th century Hotel. Beds were very comfortable and the room was clean. Most if not all of the rooms are on the second floor which has s wrap around porch. I didn't see an elevator so be prepared to climb a flight of stairs. Included is a continental breakfast with everything you could imagine from fruit to pastries, muffins, bagels, cereal, grits, yogurt, etc, etc. Keurrig style coffee gives you many options. We chose this location because it was close to a wedding venue in Mt Bethel. I glad we did!

Stairs to get to the room. I have difficulty with long flights of stairs but I could manage these. Remember , 19th century. No room for elevators!

What a lovely, welcoming place! We picked it just based on a google search while in the car, and really lucked out. The hotel is lovely, with a sense of being like a small bed & breakfast (but with more rooms). The owners/managers are friendly and welcoming, as well as efficient, with local tips on where to eat etc. The place is set up to allow solitude or easy mixing with other guests - we had such a nice evening sitting on the second floor wrap-around balcony chatting with other guests! We were expecting just a place to crash for a night and found so much more.

Nothing. This was a really nice place. (I guess it would have been nice if the restaurants in the town were open later, but the hotel managers even had suggestions to take care of that issue.)

The staff members are friendly and helpful, and the rooms and common areas are exceptionally clean.

The breakfast room was clean and had a good variety of selections. However, a suggestion for better sanitation standards would be to have individual packets for jelly, peanut butter and margarine rather than having guests dip into each container. Also, perhaps a tray or basket with tongs for bread/pastry items is a better idea than everyone reaching into the bags as you do at home.

Amazing atmosphere! Especially for those who love to immerse themselves in history. The hotel is very beautiful both inside and outside. The building is well-maintained, so it is in great condition for its age. The room was clean. We spent a warm evening on the open veranda, which was really cool. The breakfast is basic, but it’s a very pleasant bonus for such a fair price. Many thanks to everyone who helps keep this hotel alive! We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return!

The historical aspect of the property is maintained while providing modern conveniences. And it was very clean & well kept.

Unable to control the temperature in our room and unable to call the front desk because there was no phone in our room. There were no extra blankets, just the throw that was on the bed. We are from south Florida, so are not accustomed to temperatures in the 40’s & would have appreciated setting the thermostat just a little warner.

The bedroon, kitchen area, sitting room, and bathroom room were immaculate. The bed was comfortable, the hotel was quiet, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. (It was 93* outside!) The continental breakfast was fresh, well-stocked, and offered many choices. Two coffee stations as well as two refrigerators and toasters meant very little waiting to sit and eat. I highly recommend you try this charming hotel in a quaint New Jersey town.

EVERYTHING was perfect!

Quaint building beautifully restored but kept the integrity of the original building. Lovely, helpful staff. Spotlessly clean! Comfortable bed. In a charming little town. And the price was so adorable. Loved the breakfast area... If weather permits, you can sit outside on the porch. Will definitely stay again.

Would have liked an elevator, but it wasn't bad... I needed the exercise. We just planned ahead and brought our stuff to the room.

This is a great newly renovated historic hotel full of charm. Situated in a quiet little town it was a perfect stop over in our family road trip. The rooms are large, the beds comfortable and the surroundings very quiet, all guarantee a good night sleep. The great veranda on the 2nd floor a nice bonus, we had a great summer evening glass of wine there. The breakfast was nicely organised and plenty of different items to choose from, including bagels, croissants, cereals, fresh fruit and more. We had a great stay here, can defenitely recommend.

This is a lovely older property - 1800 era hotel - which has been restored with loving care. to retain its historical significance. Feels more like a B&B than a modern hotel. As one might expect, the rooms are a bit smaller than in a modern hotel but they have their own bathrooms and are very clean and comfortable. The proprietor is terrific.

The location was great if you want to do something in the area. Other than that, the town is small with little in the way of restaurant and entertainment choices.

Checkin was easy. The hotel is absolutely beautiful! Incredibly nice. The room was nice! The parking was perfectly fine. Very nice little town. So thankful they opened up the breakfast area early. I had to leave very early. I would go out of my way to stay here again!! Loved your hotel!

I think everything was great! You didn’t have to have the breakfast area open so early, but you did and it was fully stocked! Much thanks!
