The motel is in a beautiful adobe style, giving strong Route 66 vibes. The lady at the desk was very welcoming and check-in was easy. There was also plenty of parking space. The room itself wasn't very large, but sufficient. The heating worked well in the room itself. The bathroom wasn't the biggest either, but the shower was strong and warm. Though the motel itself doesn't offer breakfast the bagel shop across the street had some great options. The motel is within walking distance of the historic old town, were we loved going to Church Street Cafe for dinner.

The room hadn't been cleaned properly: there were hairs and other dirt on the floor of the main room and the toilet seat also wasn't completely clean. The bathroom was very cold. The room was a bit dark.

The staff and management were excellent, the location was very close to the Botanical Gardens and a 10 minute walk to Old Town which had a number of good bars, restaurants and galleries as well as the excellent Breaking Bad store and the starting location for the Breaking Bad tour trips. At the Hotel there were several small food outlets on site that were open till 8pm and a good bar with very friendly and informative staff that was open till 9pm.

It would have been good to have a fridge to keep drinks cool particularly as the ice machine was not working one of the days.

Was not told of breakfast - if it was available. Loved the location on Rt 66 - it was just a short drive to old town.

The room had a funny smell - not sure what it was. The bathroom was super small with the shower kind of crammed in with the toilet. The room was super dark even with all the lights on. Also, be aware if you arrive later in the evening (after 7:30) none of the food pods are open and there is not a quick walking place to get food. The bar also closed pretty early - just an FYI if you have a later arrival you might want to grab some food on your way. The outdoor furniture was ripped and in need of replacement.

Everything was great! From the friendly, helpful staff (hi Sean) to the really cool food pods & the awesome courtyard. Love it that you can get some delicious food and then grab a drink at the TapRoom!

The motel is quaint and clean and has character. It is secure in that the entrance to the rooms are behind a locked gate that requires a passcard. The staff seem very nice and helpful.

The booking.com ad states every room has a desk and security lock box. My standard room did not have a desk (or security box). I spoke with the staff and was moved to a suite that had a desk (still no security book). The staff was great at resolving the issue but the booking.com ad should be revised to be more accurate. The rate seems a little high for what was offered, but it was still one of the less expensive options in Albuquerque. I would not book again to stay in the standard room, but the suite is a nice option.

The pool and outside patio seating area. The live music, entertainment on Friday evening. The store front restaurants alongside the hotel and the tap room. The door and walls of our room were virtually soundproof, so when we were done enjoying the music and went inside, we couldn't hear any noise. The room was small but comfortable. The bed was memory foam and very comfy. The hotel has been upgraded from the original motel but still keeps some of the old charm, with many originalfeatures. Plus many additions. We loved it!

It wasn't quite as close to Old Town Albuquerque as we believed, and there was a very busy 4 lane road to cross. It took 10-15 minutes to walk from El Vado to the center of Old Town, which was fine, except for the road.

It was nice having a pool. The place was very empty feeling when we were there but I assume it is hopping some other times. We LOVED the Costa Rican restaurant on the property tho it isn't always open. Also, being across from Botanical Garden was a surprise pleasure.

It took us a while to figure out where we were... might have been nice to have a little more by way of suggestions for breakfast nearby for example.

This beautiful, historic motel in beautiful Adobe-style architecture features a nice outdoor seating area with pool, three associated restaurants (fusion, Asian and Mexican food) and a bar with a good choice of craft beers. There is a large zoo within walking distance, and the view of the Rio Grande from the nearby bridge should not be missed!

It was very disappointing that the Mexican restaurant associated with the El Vado motel already closed at 6:30 p.m. (!!) and the other two half an hour later (!). Plan to find food elsewhere if you arrive after 7 p.m.. The explanation, to us as potential customers, that there "wasn't enough demand to keep them open later" only added insult to injury. No breakfast was offered, either, so we had to settle for an (admittedly nice) bagel from Kaufman's next door. Annoyingly, there was also no WiFi access from one room, but the receptionist commented "some computers just don't connect sometimes". WiFi access from another room was fine. Not good enough!

This place is an amazing oasis in the heat of NM. We loved the pool. The plaza with restaurants and shops is very lively and the food and drinks are excellent, in the morning I recommend to get breakfast ay Kaufmans next door. Comfortable beds, good a/c, super clean rooms. The staff was super kind too. Only a short walk (5-7 mins) to old town (supermarket, shopping and more restaurants). I hope I can be back one day.

Staff was wonderful. Free coffee in the lobby was excellent. The room was nice and clean when we arrived. The motel was charming. Enjoyed all the food options and shopping options and the food court type layout. We will return for sure in the summer and take advantage of the convenience of the little restaurants.

The room was very clean when we arrived but after that housekeeping was very spotty. Some towels were replaced some were not. The sink was not cleaned nor counter wiped. Garbage can was emptied and then not emptied. Nice ceramic coffee cups were a treat but dirty ones were not replaced. The staff was very nice and welcoming but obviously the maid service was lacking.
