Beautifully landscaped masterfully gardened property. Far more breathtaking in person. The koi ponds are gorgeous. The cottonwood trees are glorious. Just wandering the property was awesome. We stayed in a King room. Everything was satisfactorily clean.Very large rooms, Very HOT water, great soaking tub, comfy beds! And yes, enough pillows! Would have loved to have had a ceiling fan but that's a personal preference. And Vegans may not like the cow hide and antler decor.
Food was delicious but not much choice and very pricey. Food in town is amazing. We did not utilize the spa services because of the pricing (We booked with a local resident nearby). Salt water pool and hot tub and greenhouse are awesome too! We had one noisy neighbor but guest services were quick to respond. Only other complaint I had was they left my car unlocked when the valet moved it. So we just self parked after that.

Heather at the living spa was amazing. The staff at the living spa were also helpful and kind. The yoga teacher Lacey was so good. The restaurant staff was accommodating and very pleasant and the hatch chili cornbread was to die for! The refrigerator had a freezer which was nice for those of us traveling long distances. The grounds were beautiful and relaxing and green.
Room wasn't as clean as I had hoped for such a beautiful and expensive place. Fixtures, baseboards, surfaces need to be wiped down between each use. Would have liked to have had a microwave in the room.

Expensive, but excellent breakfast. Housekeeping was excellent & responsive. Beautiful property & facilities.
Yoga was complementary, but not notified that the location was moved to the ballroom. Instructor had to bring mats, etc from upstairs. Ballroom hadn’t been vacuumed. The hot tub was non functional the entire time. I feel if not available it should have been on the website or told ahead of time. A discount on the resort fee would have been appropriate.

room is very good shower great bed excellent size of room and view great
lots of hidden charges-$35 dollars for "amenities" which we didn't / don't use. eg yoga shuttle -free coffee that we pay for?? other mysterious fees. our friends who were also staying at elmonte won't return because of the fees which we were not informed of before we arrived. also extra pet fee $75 which we also were not informed of before we arrived. breakfast not so good either.

The design and quality of the room was exceptional. Loved the solid heavy sliding glass door that led to the patio with lovely view of yard, the tub had an easy ledge to sit on, the shower and door were beautiful and solid, the beds comfortable, the fireplace was a cozy touch. The shuttle to town was super quick and easy. All very lovely.
lighting in the room and bathroom. To have the ability to brighten the room would have made it even better.

Beautiful and serene . Didn’t have the take to really walk the property it looked like it was beautiful
I was so looking forward to having drinks at the bar but I have a major reptile phobia in any shape or form and couldn’t enter because of it on your bar ceiling. The carpet in room had white powder or stains, the pool water was too cold.

Fantastic exterior grounds, rooms were very nice and well finished. HVAC was great. Staff was fantastic and helpful except for the bar (see below).
Minor things. Some odd features at the bathroom area where there was no place to put a towel near the shower. Out-swinging shower door leaked. Shower pressure was poor - maybe an adjustable shower head would address this. Service at the bar was rude and slow. They seemed to prioritize waiting on the regulars/friends and sort of ignored us.

Beautiful grounds around the main area, pond, tree-lined. Very peaceful and serene. Yoga with Alana was awesome. She is the kindest, sweetest person! The valet team were all amazing and helpful!
Rooms are dark - western Gothic. The mountain room we were initially given was in obvious disrepair. Torn curtains (holes) that don’t close, missing picture over the fireplace - hook and shadow of the picture still evident. Clearly sends a message that there is an element of leadership and caring that is missing from management. Spent the initial two hours of our stay moving around rooms till we were finally installed in a lovely room. The place was far from full so these shenanigans were wholly unnecessary and diminished our stay

What isn't there to like about this place; it is incredible! Sadly I was only there for one night but I will be booking this location again should I visit Taos. It it right in the middle of the town for easy walking around, the staff are fantastic and I have never felt so much luxury.
The room was £200 per night. While it was absolutely beautiful, it would have been even better if there had been breakfast included. The breakfast here is incredibly pricey so we ate elsewhere.

Relaxing in the mountains of the high desert starts here! Our favorite thing about this resort is the property itself and the Spa. One of the top spas in the US, it is boutique meaning it does not book a lot of people at once and therefore you have a personal experience. We had incredible treatments two days of the 4 we stayed. The saltwater indoor pool is a dream - space is We stayed in the two bedroom suite “China” which had that theme. It was comfortable with two king beds, giant bathtubs and a living/dining area. As two friends traveling together it was great having our own space. Room was quiet and clean. Plenty of pillows and towels, complementary slippers too! Highly recommend staying during the week if looking for peace and quiet as weddings and wedding parties can happen over the weekends. Staff are extremely friendly, helpful and responsive!
Very minor issues - no microwave but a fridge in the room, couch in living area has definitely seen better days and needs replacing. Restaurant on site is a bit pricey but has great food!
