Fantastic location and incredibly pleasant stay. Super comfy bed with a light comforter. Room was squeaky clean. A continental breakfast was only a few dollars each day and the dining area lovely. Not sure why this amazing place wasn't packed. Very quiet with fabulous views out the windows. And, bonus for sustainability - the windows open! So when the air cooled after dark you could have the windows open. We couldn't try the Bistro as it only opened Thursday through Sunday and we were there Monday through Thursday am. There is a spa on site. Such lovely and helpful staff and when we had a minor problem with the AC unit it was promptly fixed. We were offered a new room, but didn't feel we needed it. Location is a few minutes from Ithaca and the Finger Lakes are close. We were able to drive along Cayuga lake and then up to Geneva and around Seneca Lake, stopping several times for attractions and still made it back with plenty of time to relax. I saw several people with dogs at the hotel; kudos for allowing pets as we have often traveled with our dog or cats.

Would have liked to try the Bistro.

LOVED our stay. The room and hotel were gorgeous. The staff was exceptional. Loved the complimentary beverages with a generous pour, prompted me to buy a bottle of the excellent wine. Loved the delicious food at the Bistro. Loved the gorgeous grounds and the spaciousness of the room, and the books! The robes were cozy and the view was relaxing. Loved the proximity to Buttermilk Falls. Loved that the property was pet friendly, we enjoyed meeting some adorable dogs. The lobby was so cozy with a beautiful fireplace. Can't gush enough, and we will definitely be coming back!!!

We booked through Booking.com so this isn't on the hotel, but two queen beds was advertised but it was actually two full beds, so we all ended up feeling a bit cramped while sleeping. My partner is a large man so he took one bed and my daughter and I tried to sleep together on the other, but it would have been nice to have the Queen beds. Didn't love the products as they were drying, so glad we had brought our own shampoo, conditioner, soap and lotion. Sad that the spa was not open while we were there.

The hotel was a clean for the most part. The free cookies and coffee/tea in the lobby was a nice touch. The rooms are a nice vibe for getting away. It was also nice that there is a hiking trail that is right behind the property. It was a beautiful and peaceful hike. Majority of the staff was kind. They give guests one free drink for every night, also great! The bistro was excellent when we went for breakfast. The food was marvelous and it was so quiet and peaceful. The waiter Nicole was such a sweetheart and her service was exceptional!

There was only small complaints. There was a fake fingernail that I found on the bed. Also the terrace in our room was not inviting at all. This is a simple upgrade that they can do to make the stay worth while. The terrace floor paint was completely chipped and looked terrible. It was also wet from a leak that was coming from the terrace above. It was such a beautiful landscape outside and it was a shame that we could not sit on the terrace to enjoy it. Definitely would have been a highlight of the stay. Please repair this.

We stayed in a king room with a fireplace. The room was beautiful, cozy, comfortable without feeling stuffy. Loved the fireplace in the room, the balcony, and the jetted tub. Even though the property was under construction, there was no debris or noise. Wouldn’t have even known if it wasn’t for the sign.

Included breakfast was disappointing - didn’t see any cups for coffee out when we went into the bistro, and only options were bagels/muffins, cereal or yogurt.

continental $7/person in lobby - cereal, bagels, toast, muffins, hard-boiled eggs, yogurt, juice, coffee, tea at hotel; also offered breakfast bigger, heartier options in their bistro. Lovely room and bed, excellent service - especially all the staff in the spa.

Booked 6 months ago. Made one morning breakfast & one brunch reservation. When I arrived they were surprised when I asked to verify them. The property was recently sold and the well-rated restaurant does not have weekday meals. I was not contacted by anyone from the restaurant and offered a cold continental breakfast with plastic wrapped items for $7. The spa was wonderful but the steam room wasn't hot enough and the shower needed grout/black cleaned.

Amazing location- we loved to take morning walks into the woods towards the lake! The view from our room was beautiful! The room was specious and clean The happy hour was great The staff was very friendly

The bed was uncomfortable for us (too soft), but opening your eyes to such a beautiful view made you forget everything! If you book a room for a party of three- please note that there is no additional bed in the king room, and the third person would have to sleep on a rollaway bed, which costs an additional $15 a night. It is better to call the hotel directly and book a double-king room.

We loved the grounds: nice to be able to walk outside in a natural setting and stretch our legs. The room, balcony, and bathroom were spacious and comfortable. Great water pressure in the shower. Very friendly and helpful staff. Also loved proximity to Buttermilk Falls trail and the hotel’s offer for a ride back after completing the hike.

The mattress was too soft. It’s important to have support for spine and major joints when sleeping, especially for older adults.

Very good location just outside of Ithaca and close to Buttermilk Falls State Park. Nice size rooms and comfortable large beds. Hotel offers a simple continental breakfast for a very fair price however there are some richer options very close. Excellent and free parking and kind and attentive hotel staff. Hotel is also well maintained and has a serene Buddhist vibe.

Bathroom is a bit on the basic side, with tub/shower combo (without hand shower)

Loved that the room was roomey and comfortable, the gift basket was nice we got a king sunrise view suite, loved that there was a fire place in the room. Facial products are amazing. I bought them all. Bonus to getting the spa massage or services is the sauna and steam room, so go early and enjoy them before your time. Staff was amazing and very helpful and friendly. Great atmosphere!!!

The sunrise view is actually a parking lot view, so I'd opt for a valley view room. The spa is rather expensive for what you're getting. It's definitely got spa prices. You could probably get a just as good a massage at a smaller shop in town, for ¼ to ½ off the spa price. My husband didn't like the massage. idk if the guy was tired or what, but he said he just kinda rubbed up n down the same spot over n over. I actually looked over as i flipped over and noticed it, too. He looked bored. My massage was wonderful. P.S I am a massage therapist. If that helps at all. Spa tub is small if your a bigger person it won't do for you.
