This was a wonderful hotel everything was great! Staff, room, location, the views, and the most important to me the cleanliness.
They do have a restaurant and it was busy so parking was limited but they work with you and we just moved our car after someone left no big deal. Also not fond of the pillows but they were ok.

Location!!!! And the Grown Alchemist products. Felt very clean except for the shower floor. Loved the coffee setup as well
The shower didn’t drain well AT ALL and the body wash was out nearly the entire time. Towels didn’t get refreshed when the room was cleaned.

Breakfast was amazing. The staff was very attentive, restaurant team is excellent! Ample parking, though parking spaces were tight. Location at the edge of Blowing Rock's downtown "strip" is a huge plus.
Resort Fee. The hotel has no pool, no tennis or basketball courts, no lake to swim or fish or boat nor immediate access to anything remotely "resorty". The only elevator on the property is wonky (works sometimes). Wonderful blackout shades in the rooms but the alarm/communications box has bright green and yellow LEDs that are really annoying so bring some thick sticky notes if this kind of thing bothers you.

The hotel was wonderful and the employees were great. Hot chocolate and cookies were a treat and coffee and giant cookies are a nice touch daily. The breakfast was delicious and convenient. Beds were very comfortable. Big leather chair was great for my husband. Nice big tv and desk space. Nice toiletries and towels were plush. Convenient free parking. Location is perfect and easy walk to shops and restaurants.
Only two aspects that I would change. I understand the reasoning but I truly dislike barn doors on a bathroom. The other change is a safety feature. I was not expecting a curb when exiting the lobby. I was thinking it would be a ramp for the luggage since it was in an area where cars cannot get to. I missed the curb and was headed straight for the stone pillar but my husband grabbed me in time or else I would be speaking to you from the hospital! Just a little paint on the curb could draw your attention to the step down.

Breakfast and dinner were fine. Breakfast service was a little off. Toast was not hot enough to melt the cold solid butter. Had to ask for salt and pepper, both of which should have already been on the table. Coffee was extremely weak but the waitress did an excellent job of bringing some much stronger and better coffee.
The restaurant and bar area was so noisy that we could hardly carry on a normal conversation. The acoustics is terrible. We loved our room and the location of the hotel except for the road noise from the street below. The bathroom sliding door does not close completely for privacy.

We loved the location of the hotel. It was clean and bed was comfortable. The AC worked fine, as well. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant downstairs and it was delicious. After dinner we walked into town and then came back to our room to sit in the comfortable Adirondack rocking chairs! We could have sat outside in the chairs outside of the restaurant, but chose to go to our own room. That was very relaxing! I would highly recommend this place!
I didn't like that they didn't have a size small in T-shirts! I was bummed! There was nothing else I did not like!

The hotel is in a great location where you can walk into town for shopping and eating. It’s a very new property which makes it a great choice because everything is fresh and clean. The hotel is well appointed with generous amenities. The rooms are large and comfortable. Many with balconies.
I booked a room with a balcony, but was very disappointed with my view of the back parking lot and garbage. Especially when the hotel wasn’t busy and there were clearly rooms available with a view of the mountains.

This is a great addition to downtown Blowing Rock. Staff is friendly and so helpful. Rooms are comfortable and clean. We enjoyed a drink at the bar and a fantastic dinner at the restaurant. Will definitely be back.
Booking.com reservation was for a king bed with terrace room. We were given a queen. Still unsure if this was a mistake on Booking or at the hotel.

We had been to Blowing Rick 5 years ago and decided it was a good stop on our way home to Pennsylvania from Clemson SC visiting our son and family. Blowing Rock is a lovely town - the flowers are amazing! We hope to return again. I was so happy to have found The Embers online. Rooms were great, loved having my glass of wine on the balcony and the best hotel towels ever!
We liked everything!
