This place was a pleasant surprise. I chose it based on reviews & was not disappointed. It looked a little dubious when we arrived in the dark but when we got to our room we were delighted, it was charming! It was clean as a pin & had everything we needed for our stay. We had a riverfront room & the view was great, my young grandson loved watching the river go by. The location was very convenient to downtown which was nice. We're not big luxury hotel type people & prefer local establishments so if you want something a little more unique, this is your place!

The beds were pretty comfortable but I noticed a little squeak in the mattress when moving around on it, but it was on an iron bed frame so could have been that instead. Either way it wasn't enough to interfere with my sleep.

The room was very clean and had more room than expected. The bed was comfortable , king size bed and the recliners were very comfy. The room was nice but in order to sit outside you had a shared long deck with the whole building, not quite what I thought it was going to be. There is a shared fire pit just out of view of the picture for guests as well. The view of the river is beautiful. The location is close to everything with a 5 minute drive. The town is lovely but on week nights is all closed by 5pm 🤨😒

The pillows were flat, there was no blow-dryer or conditioner and the picture of what you get as far as room location is not what you get at all. Some traffic noise but I didn't think it was too much.

Loved the location which was right on the Tuckasegee River. Quick walk from the room to one of the numerous tables and chairs setup along their long patio besides the river. Very spacious area to sit and relax while watching the river. Also was able to watch the Bryson City steam train go by whose tracks were across the river. Very fun to watch the steam billowing thru the trees during the fall season. There were numerous colorful four o'clock flowers lining up the walkway to the rooms which I had to take pictures of these beauties. Check out at 11:00 am which is a plus. Will definitely stay there again.

Amazing location, right next to the river and only 5 mins driving from the center of Bryson city. Lots of parking space and views. That being said, the room itself was pretty basic but very clean.

Although the location is beautiful, it is a bit dark and remote at night and as a female traveling alone, maybe it was just my mind games but I can't say I felt 100% safe with the door lock and the kinda old windows. I would book it again if traveling with company but not as a solo traveler. Also, I found it a tad too expensive for what it offers.

The property was clean and along the river . it is beautiful.

The entrance/!exit was on a hill. It was hard to see the highway in both directions when leaving. I almost got hit once.You had better be ready to go 0 to 60 when there is an opening.

I booked this because I wanted a room with a river view.. The room & view didn't disappoint at all.. It was such a relaxing stay. We will definitely stay again when we are in the area & recommended to others..

The driveway is kinda tight pulling off the road.

Perfect spot to enjoy all the Bryson City, NC area. Quant little lodge on the river. Beds were comfortable and room was very clean. Loved the places to sit outside by the river. Staff was very nice and made sure we had all of the amenities (like coffee) that they offered.

Didn’t care for the fact that our non smoking cabin didn’t include the exterior area right outside of our room because when other guests that did smoke used that area, we walked through their smoke and it came inside when our door was open & lingered on our clothes.

My children and I stayed at Riverbend Lodge during Christmas holiday. I was concerned about cleanliness due to the establishment being family owned and because of the pandemic. All concerns were soothed as soon as I opened the door. The room was immaculate and smelled of cleaning products. Our room had a view of the river. The grounds were clean and peaceful. The only problem I had was that the walls are thin. Besides that, we had a very pleasant stay.

The walls are thin and we could hear other guests.

This room was incredibly clean! The river flows right beside the rooms and is beautiful!

The mattresses were adequate, but not as luxurious as more upscale hotels. But the sheets and blankets were clean, so it was fine. The entire room was very clean.

The owner was super nice, helpful, and sweet! Check-in was easy and I was greeted with a sweet smile! The room had a cabin-type feel and was perfect for a Mother’s Day getaway with my daughter!

I don’t have anything I didn’t like.
