Very friendly and attentive staff Mitch, Marla, Jacob, and Matt cooked and served us a delicious dinner and great breakfast. Beautiful views off the balcony of our room and although some areas are slightly dated the staff are constantly making improvements to this, new to them, property. The inn is full of beautiful woodwork from the area forests. For motorcyclists like us they provide a dedicated covered parking area and also 2 free electric vehicle charging stations for guests. We will certainly be coming back to this friendly and accommodating inn.

Would have been nice to have a chair in the room. While there was a small desk area made of natural wood there was no chair 🪑 to sit there.

The innkeepers were very charming and knowledgeable about the history of the motel although they had only been working there for less than a couple months. They cooked large breakfast and large suppers, serving the best steak I ever had in my entire life. The room and the motel in general was squeaky clean, which thrilled me because I am picky in regard to cleanliness. The motel itself was extremely charming and rich with original woodwork and design. The location of the motel was on The side of a mountain and from the balcony on the front of the motel, we looked out across the mountain tops at different times during the day and evening. It really was a magical stay at the Skyline Motel. We will definitely be returning sooner than originally planned.

The roads going up and down the mountain were a little scary.

The Skyline Village is under new management and I lucked out in meeting the new owners as soon as I stepped through the door. They're a very lovely couple and were quick to offer greetings and assistance. The room was plenty large for our family of 5 (plus our pet). The beds were comfortable, closet space was adequate, the bathroom was well equipped, and best of all - everything was CLEAN. (Our 4 year old lives life rolling in the floor and touching EVERYTHING so this was very important.) Skyline is located walking distance from the entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway, a mile from 2 gem mines, and a short but gorgeous cruise from Little Switzerland. The view from the balcony is breath taking. There's a TV and free wifi so the teenagers were happy. During this time of transition the restaurant was offering a limited menu so we didn't partake, but it smelled delicious!

When we were bringing our luggage in, the owner said he was cooking steaks for dinner that night, so we signed up for that. The dining room was not fancy but there were old signs hanging on every wall with hilarious captions. The ribeye steak was one of the best I've ever eaten and it was huge; came with fresh sauteed vegetables and fresh-made coleslaw...we were too full to order dessert. Our room was small but very clean, and the mattress was excedingly comfortable. Breakfast was served in the dining room and consisted of pancakes (made after we sat down), sausage, orange juice, and coffee. Another delicious meal! The hotel is very old and interesting...everything is well painted, the woodwork is the original dark finish. It was like stepping back in time and we enjoyed our stay.

Jacob made a perfect, simple breakfast that was filling and appetizing. Good coffee and conversation made for a pleasing start to the day. Matt and Jacob are warm and friendly so a lively, informative conversation kept us happily at the inn longer than we had planned. Great company.

Very comfortable bed. Covered motorcycle parking. Friendly hosts. Great chow. Incredibly views.

Far exceeded my expectations. Incredibly motorcycle friendly. I was offended dinner at check in. I am glad that i accepted. Pulled pork sandwich with green beans and homemade potato salad. Who could ask for more. How about a wonderful breakfast at a very reasonable price. Other establishments should mimic the skyline village inn on how to treat customers. Anyone riding or driving the southern section of the blue ridge parkway should schedule a stay here.

This inn is ADORABLE. The owners were very personable. Very accommodating. Every area was different, so it was fun to look around at all the common areas. This place felt like a bed and breakfast but you had the privacy of your own room.

I cant think of anything that could be improved.

Skyline Village Inn, was a delightful place with some fun history, comfortable bed and nice linens. The proprietors were super friendly and the room was very clean. They had meal options for additional cost - well worth the $$. Great food. Spectacular views.
