This was an almost perfect stay - the rooms are so spacious and comfortable, well-equipped and very stylish - it feels like a space taken from the pages of a magazine. Whoever styled the rooms has amazing taste. The staff were very helpful in person and kept in regular contact via text as well - even when there wasn't someone obviously available in the property, I knew I could reach someone quickly via the phone. The breakfast was delicious, as was the excellent coffee offered in the morning. The location is also great - it's a quiet street but within minutes of downtown Wilmington - lots of excellent restaurants, cafes, bars, activities and the riverside walk all within 5 - 15 mins walk. We were spoiled during our stay here - it felt very luxurious at a reasonable price. The bathroom also had an amazingly good shower for such an old property - great water pressure!

There are only 2 small issues I'd raise - the tiny ironing board should be upgraded to a full-sized one. If you're going to iron (which we did...) it's a hassle to use. Second - the bathroom walls need a bit of a deep clean/refresh. The upper painted section in our bathroom was pretty dusty/dirty and the lower wooden section has some questionable stains next to the toilet. Very minor overall, and the sanitary ware itself was very clean - no issues there.

The room was beautiful. A true escape from staying in hotels for work. The breakfast was a lovely touch. The bed was the comfiest I slept in, and the location was brilliant. It's very walkable to downtown. Staff communication was fast and informative. Highly recommend staying for a visit or holiday away. I will come back.

Not enough space for belongs on shelf in bathroom. But very minor dislike really, the room is spacious and the standing bath tub I wish i had have time to use.

Not sure if this was a B&B. I booked a while ago. I was surprised at the vegan offers for breakfast. Not very good. Sorry! Coffee was drinkable but I’m not used to coconut or almond milk in my coffee. Would have preferred cream. I assume owners are vegan and want to push their own agenda. Would have loved assistance down the stairs with my suitcase however the guy in the office space behind the beaded curtain did not seem too interested in finding out if he could provide me with any help with much at all. I had to ask for assistance with the breakfast and pull him away from his computer. The place was clean but had a very musty odor that was hard to ignore.

Beautiful area and house. Very comfortable spacious room and a lovely, calm feel in the property.

There were a few issues and nobody on site so it became a little frustrating. All minor and a shame to add this to what was a very pleasant stay but things that could have been avoided. Was told I could leave luggage but when I arrived there was no-one around so just had to leave it all in an empty open house which didn't feel very safe. Was very happy with the vegan breakfast but should have been listed on the booking. Only found out about thermostat in the hallway once I was up all night as I was cold and then lay in bed reading your previous reviews! Also not told about key numbers when I checked in so they changed the number without telling me and was locked out of my room at night.

only minor critiques. The long stairway to our room lacked a banister. For safety I would recommend installing one. The breakfasts were all vegan. Did I miss that in my reservation? No real milk for morning coffee? I respect other’s choice to be vegan, but the only choice for non-vegans was to get breakfast outside. BTW, the avocado toast was outstanding, but only available one morning.

decor is really gorgeous, very chic- location is also perfect. we found lots of free overnight street parking just a few short blocks away

the “host” was late in getting us checked in, and late on breakfast - it was a cold spell and the room was chilly till we used a fireplace we weren’t suppose to use - shower/tub is a complex gadget and kind of cumbersome to get in and out and I just decided to skip it ! we realize this is a small bed and breakfast and not a big hotel chain so want to cut them some slack -

The staff was very helpful and solicitous. The property is unique and really one of a kind. The room was beautiful and breakfast was delicious even though we are not Vegan.

We were in the downstairs suite. There is a step down into the bathroom that is not marked. It’s a accident waiting to happen

Love the front porch and the staff. Our room was clean and comfortable. Easy to find free parking within a block.

The incense was overpowering. Nothing subtle and sleek about that. Not sure what they were going for but that was totally unnatural.

Nothing against vegans, but this should haven mentioned in the description, esp. bcs it limits the breakfast choices - no normal milk, yoghurt, butter… Parking in the street is difficult but this was described already in the booking confirmation.
