You can tell the hotel is fairly new, everything looks bright and shiny. Decor is very colorful and fun. Location is convenient to many attractions except for downtown which I only went to once anyway. Parking is free and in a garage underneath the hotel. I liked that instead of the disgusting coffee makers that most hotels have, there was an electric hot water pot with pretty good instant coffee plus 2 cans of free water in the fridge. The woman from housekeeping who brought me extra coffee and cups was very sweet and also brought me spoons since there were no stirrers.
Any of the staff at the front desk that I interacted with seemed to have a standoffish attitude. I stayed 3 nights and my room was not made up once - no garbage removal, no coffee refresh, cups, no clean towels. The first day when I asked, I was told they don't do it on weekends so they sent housekeeping up to bring coffee and cups. The second day when I asked I was told they only make up rooms for stays over 2 days. Also, not unique to this hotel, the refrigerator didn't have a freezer compartment so all of my ice packs defrosted. I'm on a road trip and needed them for my coolers.

Wow! The breakfast was SO good. The staff at Poindexter Coffee are so sweet and quick with service. I was hooked on the vegetarian breakfast burrito — SO good! My daughter and I loved the ease of being able to grab a quick breakfast onsite. We were so happy that beyond the convenience, the food and coffee were great! We also took advantage of the free bikes. We borrowed two bikes and took a spin through the University of Cincinnati campus. It was free, spontaneous and one of our favorite things we did while we were there!
We just wished there was a late-night food option. Maybe even some grab and go sandwiches, salads, etc. I know there are chips and drinks, but a little something beyond that for guests who want something after the restaurant service ends. We returned to our room late, after a concert, and there were no nearby food options. We were visiting without a car and used Uber during our trip. Some grab and go options, that are more substantial, maybe in a cooler, would be perfect. We would’ve been happy to pay the front desk or add it to our room charges. Other than that, there isn’t anything we didn’t like.

I had a breakfast sandwich and coffee, it was good. we had pizza one evening and it was good. Liked that there was hot water and a walk in shower.
My wife had oatmeal for breakfast one morning and it was not to her liking. The room people came by one morning and we were not expecting anyone to come as early as they did. I asked if they could come back a little later, she said yes but she never came back. Not enough towels in the room. Had to go to the front desk and request some towels for that evenings shower.

Everything…honestly! This particular hotel of the graduate hotels is SO fun! Every little detail, it’s somewhere between a museum and amusement park…a million photo ops and I just cannot get over how amazingly well done every single detail is! So so much to look at and take in!
Not as kid friendly, while the kids LOVE all the fun details as much as we do, there are a lot of party aged kids and the walls are thin. Mind you, there are a lot of huge events here and the hotel is fully booked…it may be totally different at another time.

LOVE this hotel! Clean, comfortable, beautifully designed. Love the artsy touches all over the hotel, from the huge murals, to the big green hippo in the lobby to the Bootsy Collins wallpaper in the hotel bathroom. Love the Malin+Goetz shampoo, conditioner and body wash that were provided. Free cans of water (yes, cans!) in the mini fridge. Staff super friendly Able to communicate via text in addition to calling down the front desk. Beautifully decorated, lots of seating space in the main lobby. Many great backdrops for photos. Elevators were quick.
The parking lot was a little tight. We actually drove around several times trying to find our way out, and we weren't the only ones! I guess the signage isn't clear and many of us ended up driving in circles a few times. Parking was $10.

The design is really incredible. Yes, it's whimsical, artistic, and fun, but also very functional and top notch. As someone who has stayed in a lot of hotels on business, it looked nothing like any other hotel I've stayed in, yet was at least as functional as the most efficient hotels I've stayed in. Also the staff was super friendly and helpful, and the morning cafe was excellent. Parking was also a dream, and free!
Can't think of anything.

We loved the decor and fun vibe of the hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful.
The lobby had a very strong perfume smell. it wasn’t a bad smell, just very strong. Also, it didn’t seem like the hotel was full, as we hardly saw anyone else, but the room directly across from us sounded like a bachelorette party and the room next to us had their tv blaring. Luckily when we were ready for bed the room was pretty well insulated and we didn’t hear too much noise. I also didn’t like the location (not the fault of the hotel!) It was difficult to find a nice restaurant within walking distance. when we stay again we will have to drive to eat somewhere family friendly.

staff was great except for Poindexter Cafe
Poindexter Cafe. The cashier took orders and fixed food with NEVER washing her hands in between. She yawned in her hand 3 times. Pushed her hair back continuously. There was a little girl meandering around in the kitchen. A gallon of milk was sitting out, top not on it. She looked like she had just crawled out of bed. My son lifted the glass cake plate to let gnats out of the cinnamon rolls which looked old and hard. We ordered all bottled beverages so she didn’t have to touch it. DISGUSTING

great staff! Bill at the front desk and Kevin from maintenance were exceptional. We had a problem with our A/C leaking making our carpet wet. Bill arranged to move us next door and hand carried the keys upstairs to us. Kevin took care of a refrigerator problem immediately and was SO nice. The rooms are nicely decorated, spotless, the beds are comfortable and cozy. It’s quiet there and our room had a nice view of the University of Cincinnati. We’d stay there again!
Wasn’t impressed with the breakfast nook, nor restaurant services.

Loved the theming and the whole hotel was very clean. We stayed one night, we were in town for a Cincinnati Reds ballgame.
If I had to find something to critique it would be the parking garage, it is a very tight space.
