Very clean and the beds were amazing. Almost all the staff was friendly and helpful.

A front desk staff member blatantly lied to me not knowing her colleagues had already told me the truth. The fire alarm waking us up in the middle of the night was crazy first time we were outside in the rain for 2 hours. The fireman said they were out there way too much due to a faulty sprinkler. When I expressed concern the one staff member chose to lie and say it won't happen again, knowing nothing had been fixed in less than 12 hours from it going off. But a week later there we were outside in the cold this time for 20 minutes but again in the middle of the night. That's why we left...

The location of the resort and specifically our room were in prime locations and the pricing for two nights was fantastic...the bed was quite comfortable and the jacuzzi tub was a plus! The grounds were beautifully maintained and well lit, and the Butcherman restaurant (and service) was excellent...quite literally one of the best meals I've ever had!!

The guy working the front desk was somewhat of an @$$ and wasn't very friendly. The rooms were nice but the couch cushions had white stains and wasn't comfortable, the lightswitch in the bathroom was damaged, the light over the tub wouldn't operate, and the tub had a dent. The AC/heating was difficult to adjust and was unable to establish a set temp during our stay.

The room was and clean. The check in staff contacted me within five minutes of getting to my room to make sure everything was to my satisfaction with in the room. We brought the kids with us so we needed extra blankets and towels and they brought them almost immediately. The food served their was excellent and the wait staff was prompt, professional, and seemed like they genuinely enjoyed their jobs. The igloo pods outside were heated and available for lounging. All in all will definitely revisit cherry valley. Thanks for the good time.

Thermistor improvement i can think of. Common areas were always kept spotless. Staff both at the desk and those cleaning rooms were friendly, and accommodating.

I loved everything about this experience. The lobby has a gathering area with huge fireplaces and soaring ceilings. This hotel is shaped like a large octagon and has an incredible surprise interior water feature with romantic seating and a gazebo. We arrived on Christmas and so could not make use of the bar or restaurant...but both looked very nice. Our stylish, but simple room, was spacious and wonderfully clean. The shower had great water pressure. The bed was also lovely. I would definitely recommend this for groups or just a little retreat. Thanks for going above and beyond.

I wish there had been better food and drink options for Christmas travelers. The snacks that were available were not suitable for us pesky gluten free folk.

Everything! Room was fantastic with a swimming pool size tub to soak in after many hours of travel in the car. Restaurant within the hotel served delicious food until 10 so we were able to get a little supper after a late arrival. The decor was a mixture of modern and rustic with beautiful wooden tables and chandeliers. We appreciated the Keurig coffee machine in the room, plenty of soft towels and a very comfortable bed with many soft supportive pillows. I really liked the layout of the room and bathroom. The view from our room and the hotel restaurant of the beautiful courtyards filled with trees, ponds, waterfalls, light covered trees which were lit up in the dark made for a relaxing and romantic stay for our wedding anniversary! If we are ever in the area again, I will definitely try to book another room at the Cherry Valley Hotel!

There was nothing that I didn't like, but it would have been great if there was a laundry room. I needed to wash some of our dirty laundry that was accumulating in the suitcase after several days of our vacation.

It was very serene and loved the ponds and fountain gazebo and ducks .. The Hotel was beautiful inside.. the only recommendation the balconies on the 2 nd floor need cleaned , we had to cleanup ourselves dirty and spider infested .. so didn’t sit out there we walked the paths and sat on the comfy furniture ..by the gazebo and firepit..

I know the next time to request 1st floor in courtyard .. We love being outside and the setting was tranquil.. Really we will go back in a weekend it’s a nice place to relax. And beautiful

The room was really nice and clean. The pool was nice too.

The latch on our room door kept getting stuck and was a bit difficult to wrestle with. The front desk didn’t provide our breakfast tickets since they claimed “the booking party did not inform them”. And they didn’t give me 2 tickets right away since it was not indicated in the booking info sent over to them. She seemed to take offense at the fact that I had booked via booking.com rather than directly with them. I would not have known to get 2 tickets if my friend who had also booked a similar room had not been with me at that time since she had received 2 tickets.

The beds were so comfortable and it was very clean. The rooms was large and quiet. We had a beautiful garden view.

We were on the first floor and had to carry our suitcases up and down numerous sets of steps that were oddly everywhere for a ground floor room.. the luggage cart was useless due to this. Also very difficult to find our room. It is a series of connected octagonal hallways. With steps everywhere and the hallways that went on forever, it reminded me of a fun house at a carnival

I love to stay at the Cherry Valley Inn when visiting my daughter at Denison. The staff is delightful, it's close to campus, and it has a lovely resort feel to it. I loved reading by the fireplace in the lobby each night while I was there.

The fire alarm went off at 1:30 in the morning and lasted a while. I know it was not the staff's fault and they were very apologetic, but I would've loved a little discount on that night's stay.

The room was spacious, the lobby was captivatingly beautiful. The bartender, John, was lots of fun. Very light and accommodating. There was good advice about dinner options. The room was warm and had a beautiful sofa.

My wife had some difficulty with the room thermostat. It felt warmer than the thermostat read when we arrived. The breakfast booking was not available at the front desk. After showing the front desk the Booking confirmation and a call to the supervisor, two breakfast tickets were rewarded!
