The room was clean and adequate, albeit a little small and dated. The bed was comfortable and thankfully the room was away from traffic and proved to be quiet and peaceful with a stream out behind our room. The motel is affiliated with an adjoining restaurant where we ate three marvelous meals during our stay; breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The senior menu was very nice, and well priced, with huge portions and, an exceptional, friendly, and helpful waitstaff. Highly recommend both the motel and its associated restaurant.

The facility is a bit dated and rough around the corners but comfort and value make up for any shortcomings. We did wish that there were more available electrical outlets to charge our many "toys" but we understand that society required fewer electronics when the building was constructed. Carry a powerstrip with you when you travel but be mindful of your amp load.

This is a classic 50's motel with small rooms, clean, quiet, maintained and kept up with a comfortable bed. Included is a great family style restaurant breakfast just across the parking lot. It's a small town, family kind of place with relaxed, friendly staff. There's a small microwave, a motel sized fridge, TV, WiFi, table and two chairs. We much prefer these kinds of unique, locally owned motels over the mass produced, sterile motel chains. A local artist's whimsical sculptures made us smile.

As one might expect, there's only a few electrical outlets. We were able to charge all our devices, but it took some creativity. The WiFi was adequate, but I suspect it would be a stretch to do much media streaming.

The clerk was wonderful. Although the hotel is quite old and dilapidated on the outside, the rooms inside were comfortable and OK. My only complaint is that there is no place to plug in our phones, etc. and there is no table between the beds. Otherwise, this was a good stay. The free breakfast was also very nice.

The indoor outdoor carpeting on the second floor was ripped up and to me seemed very dangerous especially for a senior citizen or a small child. I really hope they will fix this because the hotel otherwise is good.

The room was very clean, the water hot, and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. The little restaurant always has good food when we stop here. There was a running creek behind our room so we opened the window and listened to the running water all evening. We have stayed here before. This was built in the 1950s and has been refurbished. Some of the floors are uneven because the foundation has settled over the years, but the owners and staff work hard to make sure it's comfortable and welcoming. We like staying here because of that, and because of the older atmosphere. The street is quiet at night, too.

If you don't want to stay in an anonymous chain motel then this is the spot. Some things were a little dated but in my opinion that adds charme. Room and beds were nice, nightly outside soundlevel was adequately low for good sleep. Breakfast solution was optimal for us - we could either splurge with a full breakfast and $2 off or go for an everyday starter breakfast with the supplied vouchers. The breakfast restaurant is excellent in service and food, sadly we didn't get to test the lunch and dinner menu.

This motel is special. I booked a room because it fit my schedule while on a road trip, with price and location playing the most important part. Although this place seems old, everything is kept in excellent condition. It’s very clean and comfortable, and the attention to all the details is apparent. A lovely bonus is that breakfast is served at the restaurant next door with a voucher they give you upon check-in. The check-in process is very "analog" - with a written receipt and a real key to your door, which I really like.

This is not a fancy hotel, but it will fit most people's needs when traveling in the area. The breakfast voucher does not include coffee, but the hotel has free coffee. As long as you like what you see in the pictures, you won't be disappointed.

We loved this place. We travel by motorcycle and asked to have ground floor rooms so we could park right in front of the rooms. Not only did they comply but gave us 3 rooms right next to the office to keep them safe! The rooms were first rate, clean, and in almost new condition. They had a small coffee room, but best of all a full breakfast in the on site restaurant was included. This property far exceeded our expectations given the really bargain price.

No complaints at all. The staff was professional, very friendly and helpful. This is a wonderful area of Oregon to visit and this lovely little town is a great place to stay during a visit here. This property is a perfect place to use a a home base during your visit.

We arrived a couple minutes after the check-in time, but we were greeted cheerfully. The woman in the office was very helpful. We were given vouchers for the restaurant for breakfast, but we had to leave very early the next morning. We were bummed to miss out on that opportunity. What a great perk! Our room was great! My husband and I were traveling with our three teenage kids. They had their own room with two queen sized beds, and we had ours in a room that was in its own room. Perfect!

We would have loved to have used our restaurant vouchers on our way back through as we headed home, but it was dated. I totally understand why, but that was my only disappointment—missing out on that breakfast. 😊

Quite honestly the most friendly, charming employees. So helpful, kind, and welcoming. We are a family that road trips a lot, and always stay in mid value best western/travelodge places. We are not motel people, but having stayed at the Oregon trail motel we may have been converted. It was cosy and clean, and the laundry facilities were great. Breakfast coupons at the adjoining restaurant were a major bonus and the staff there were equally fantastic. If we ever find ourselves in Baker City again we shall certainly be back.

Clean every time I stop there. Very friendly front desk staff. This is an older facility, and some people might knock it for that, but I enjoy staying somewhere that is not so slick and new. Everything works, everything is clean, and I feel safe there. The little restaurant serves really good food. Get the potato salad. You get a breakfast voucher when you stay overnight.
