The location and price were the main factors in choosing Downtown Inn. I was in Eugene for 6 nights for a work function and I needed a quiet, comfortable space with very good WIFI. The bed was comfortable, the shower had great pressure and the WIFI was good. Each of the rooms are on the ground level, in a 'U' shape surrounding the parking lot. It was extremely quiet from 8pm to 8am. This was so appreciated! The room had a mini fridge and small microwave- great for warming up snacks. Though I interacted minimally with the front desk person, once when I checked-in late Sunday evening, they were very friendly, kind and informative. The price point was perfect for my budget. I have no hesitation to recommend Downtown Inn to my colleagues and this will be my go-to lodging when I come to Eugene!

What would have made my morning even better would have been a coffee maker or tea kettle in the room. Though Starbucks is less than 400 ft down the road, in room coffee would have been better!

How would I call this place? Well, cheap and cheerful! Before booking it, I read many (most) of the reviews and decided that it should be OK. The owner and manager are both super helpful and super friendly and the hotel is a convenient location. It's close to everything. The neighborhood "Looks" sketchy but in fact it was very safe and the parking lot is well lit. We had no problems. Morning coffee is important to me. I run a daily podcast first thing in the morning - so early in fact that I get up around 5AM to prepare, then take a shower, then run the show, so I dont have time or want to go out for a coffee. (There is a Starbucks just a couple of doors down the street) I called the hotel before booking to ask if there was a coffee maker or at least a kettle in the room. The answer was no. So I just went out and bought a Keurig Machine and went a head and booked. I figured that with what I saved on the room for a few days more than offset the cost of the machine - and gave me "GOOD" coffee every morning and I can keep the machine to travel with on future trips elsewhere. It worked fine. The room was comfortable, the shower pressure was good, the people were friendly and I got a better cup of coffee than most other in-room services eleswhere. I'm happy

Nothing really EXCEPT - the hinges on the bathroom door squeek like the soundtrack of a horor movie. During the day no proplem or when travelling alone no problem, but when travelling with others and you need to use the facilities at 2:00 AM you're going to wake your partner, spouse, kids or friend unnecessarily. Please Downtown Inn, oil the the hinges; it's a simple fix.

Great location! As a 65 year old woman, I felt fine making the less than ten minute walk to and from the Hult Center at night. Coffee, restaurants and food carts also nearby. Updated vintage one story motel; paint, flooring, countertops, bathtub and fixtures nice and new. So quiet you never know there are busy roads nearby. (room 20)

I knew there was no coffee or breakfast but I would have appreciated a coffee mug that I could have used in the provided microwave. I did not inquire at the desk for one.

The staff was very friendly and always gave a smile and asked how our stay was and if we needed anything. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the shower was great and had a non-slip bottom. The parking was laid out well with plenty of room for unloading/loading. And it was 2 blocks from the WOW Hall where we were seeing a concert. Lots of food options and Starbucks in the area.

Just minor quibbles. No coffee, the soda machine was broken, and we did have a few ants in the sink and couldn't figure out where they came from.

This motel was surprisingly quite clean. The Queen room we booked had a huge plug-in magnifying mirror (which isn't always available at higher priced Hotels), a blow dryer, iron, ironing board and folding luggage rack. It also had a square table big enough to seat up to four, a desk and three chairs on wheels. The bed was not too soft or too firm. The queen bed had three pillows, so my only con is I wish they had provided four pillows. I'm sure we could have asked for an extra pillow, but it was very late at night and I didn't want to bother the staff again. The staff who helped us at check in was friendly and courteous and available when we checked in late at night. The door is locked late at night, so I just rang the bell and he came out and unlocked the door immediately, because we were also expected at that hour.

This was one of the better priced stays in the area for an overnight before an unpleasantly early flight, but the price was still inflation influenced. I usually cannot sleep before such flights in a different environment, but somehow, was able to do so. The bed was quite comfy. Bathroom was clean and even the carpet seemed fresh. Mini fridge was in the room. It was pretty quiet even though a major avenue was just outside the facility. Desk person was friendly and professional.

Weirdest thing: there is no coffee nor any facility to make even instant. Hot water kettle, maybe? No. I was up and out too early to even pillage a local cafe. There is a gas station across the way, I suppose I could have accosted that. I wasn't a huge fan of the location, but there were no issues whatsoever with security.

Exceptionally clean, good location. They offered new, in-room, good quality, appliances (refrigerator with freezer, microwave, iron and board, lighted magnifying makeup mirror, illuminated desk lamp/clock, desk with multiple outlets, clock radio). No coffeemaker, but good shower, toilet, and bed.

Casual chairs were office-style, and not as comfy as hoped. Very small parking spaces and lot. No lobby, coffee or related offerings.

VERY VERY CLEAN. New carpet. Nice location close to U of O. Very friendly staff. Don't hesitate to stay there.

Older style motel but completely renovated. It was extremely quiet, surprisingly.. no sound from other guests. Great parking spot right in front of your room. Felt very safe. No smoking on property, which is nice. Comfortable benches outside the doors under the roofline. Which is awesome because, after all, it is Oregon and we get alot of rain. Lol

Very nice little hotel. It was very clean and presentable. It looks updated and well maintained. The room is basic but nice. Comfortable beds,, flat screen TV, a/c, microwave and larger mini fridge. Grounds are clean. We spent the weekend in Eugene and did multiple activities. This Inn was very close to everything we did. Including U of O campus and the Matthew Knight arena.. At night we walked a few blocks to the Starlight Lounge which was a nice place for drinks and socializing. We would definitely choose to stay here again.

Being downtown in a bigger town you will be faced with those in society that are struggling and some less attractive parts of city life. You will most likely see these things nearby and in the surrounding areas. At no point did we feel unsafe. But it is something to keep in mind if that's an issue for you.

Very nice people, very clean. Convenient location. Quite soundproof. We stayed in the inner court area (where the front desk is) and we're not bothered by anyone walking by. Some guests staying in rooms facing the sidewalk complained about people outside their room

The paint colors were pretty shocking but newly painted and very clean! It was a bit pricey for the area.
