We had a very lovely stay here! The room had all the right vibe ... a cool and classy (but still rustic) beach bungalow vibe with spectacular views. The bed, and the furnishing were comfortable and perfect for our use. The staff was helpful with dining recommendations. The room was exceptionally clean which made for a very welcoming feeling. We could walk down to the beach from a set of steps adjoining the hotel, and there was also lounge chairs set out for folks to enjoy the beach views without having to go up/down the 50+ steps to the beach.

Nothing, it was exactly what we wanted and expected. The room was comfortable and away from the crowds. We didn't want to be 'in-town' so the few miles it was away from town was what we were after.

What's not to like!! Sara is AMAZING, so sweet, personable and goes out of her way for what u may need. An ADORBS lil 11 room, each a diff themed gem! The cleanliness is impeccable, the views and steps to the sand and ocean are RIGHT there, and the SOUND of the ocean,, cmon,, like no other! They have 2 lounge chairs in a small side yard with an unobstructed view, I layed there and FELL ASLEEP! BEST SLEEP I GOT OUTSIDE IN YEARS! No continental breakfast per say, Sara gave me some oatmeal from the office and I ate that the morning we left watching the waves! Worked perfect ,Rooms are equipped with a small sink, coffee, creamer, a few dishes, cups and silverware, ice machine avail with a bucket, I'm tellin ya, I'LL DEF PRAY TO GO BACK! DONT MISS OUT!! 🌅🙃🤷‍♀️

The location was beautiful; our deck looked directly over the ocean. Beach access was right there next to the rooms. Was quiet even though it is right off the highway. Centrally located just north of Newport and just south of Depot Bay. Peggy who works the office was amazing; friendly, sweet and helpful. We had a really nice time talking with her.

Not much. Some people might not like that the building is old and it shows in some ways but it didn’t bother us too much.

Amazing location right on the beach. Great view from every room. Close to Yaquina Head lighthouse. You can see the lighthouse from your private deck. Whale watching(Gray Whales) and sunsets from your own deck are unforgetable. Theme room was a nice touch. We stayed in the Oregon room. Kitchen was well stocked with a full size refrigerator.

Older facility. A bit dusty around the fireplace. A rather powerful air freshener was in use. Once we removed it and opened all the windows we had a wonderful time. The location, views, and beach access significantly outweighed any of the negatives. We will be back!

I stayed in the Western room, which upon reviewing all the rooms at the inn, I am thinking I got the very best one. The bed was very comfortable. TV was nice as I was able to log into my You-Tube account and to to sleep with my sleep music playlist. It also had all those other things people buy like Roku, etc. I also could have left my patio door open and slept to the music of a deliciously angry sea, but hard rain kind of limited that option. The room was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, had an incredibly nice view, and right next to the stairs down to the beach. Peggy the manager was very kind and helpful, and I feel like I made a new good friend just talking to her. I also loved her dog, I am a dog lover so was delighted to have a dog to visit with while there, but he is a well behaved boy and so anyone who is not a dog person would not be bothered by him. I got a special deal on pricing, but hope I will be able to come here again, and if I do I will hope for this same room to be available.

I hate to put anything here, because it is not likely to be an issue, but my refrigerator died while there, and killed my leftover Subway Tuna sandwich I was going to have later. However while I was there Peggy immediately ordered a replacement frig, which was going to be hooked up the morning I was checking out. So, whomever reads this may want to see it as another positive in showing how fast the management fixed a problem.

This night I stayed in the Under the Sea room ( called the By the Sea rom on the direct website of the inn). This was a late added on day of my 3 day stay, the first two days reserved in the Western room, which I just wrote a review for. I wish I could have stayed there (Western) all 3 days but it was my fault for modifying my booking to add a day too late for availability all in one room. This room did not have a kitchenette, but did have a toaster, microwave and frig, (and Keurig) and everything worked well. The room was incredibly clean. I spilled significant water, and tracked it around also, so grabbed all I had available, one of the motel towels to dry it up, and I was surprised how clean that towel was after dragging it all over the floor. The bed was very comfy. Enjoyed using the TV access to my You-Tube channel to go to sleep to my sleep music playlist. There was some noise from hwy 101, which I did not notice in the ocean facing Western Room the two nights before. This room faced north, having an ocean view to the left and the hwy to the right. The view was still very delightful. I loved the decor in the room. It took a long time for hot water to get hot but the shower was nice once it got there. Peggy the manager is awesome, and I feel like I made a new friend. I also loved her dog wo is a sweet and friendly boy, but if you are not a dog person he would not come to you. I loved everything about this room except the ONE thing noted below.

There is a room divider in the middle of the room where the flor drops down about 3 inches. It does not show up well and I cannot count how many times I tripped, but managed not to fall. This is a MAJOR issue that they would do well to fix, or at least make it far more visible. I did re-arrange some of the furniture so that I could plug in my laptop at the table, which had me walking back and forth via a different path than the small one they sort of marked the floor step with. I think the room furniture arrangement could be better anyways, and a larger square table or an added desk would have been nice for someone to use their laptop. They also need a screen for the one window that opens.

The room was really cute, very quaint, super cozy. We loved having a fireplace! The staff thought of everything; they left us a Duralog for the fire, matches and lighters, even little candies in our room! This is an older building and it’s been remodeled at some point. It’s not a fancy, new, homogeneous hotel; it’s a “typical” roadside motel with its age and it’s quirks, but it’s better than typical because it’s adorable and sweet and has amazing views and access to a big beach. We will definitely come back! Oh, and I’m picky about beds, and this bed was really comfortable!

I rarely ever leave reviews; however, I felt that I should definitely comment on how amazing my experience was. The view and location was unbeatable. If you are looking for a simple yet cozy and inviting little inn with an immaculate view, you are in! The property features a fire pit, balconies with ocean views, lounging chairs that overlook the ocean, and friendly staff! Not only do you get the luxury of sleeping to the sound of the waves but the stars at night are unbelievable. This property gives you direct stair access to what feels like your own private beach.

Stayed overnight in the Safari room. Awesome view from the patio of the beach. Coffee maker in the room. Ref and microwave. Had a fireplace but did not use it. Toiletries provided. Great location!

View, view, view! Its not a 5 star joint but it is clean, comfortable, small kitchen with normal utensils (wouldn't hurt to grab some plastic utensils and a good skillet if you're picky), a hot shower.

Bed is firm but we overcame it being lulled to sleep by the sound of the Pacific. Heater could have been a little better as it was a chilly January weekend but it wasn't horrible and it gave my wife and I another excuse to warm up under a blanket.
