We had the king bed suite with a couch. It was very nice room. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was big. Breakfast was on the third floor instead of the first. It was your typical breakfast - eggs, sausage, waffles, etc. It kept us going until lunchtime. We used the pool after a long day walking around Gettysburg. I wish it would have been air conditioned in the pool room as there was a heat advisory while we were there. I also liked the fact that Friendly's was two doors down from the hotel. Everything we wanted to do - minus the battlefield itself - was within walking distance. The first day we were there, we walked over 20,000 steps walking to and from the hotel around to the traffic circle to York Street and back.

The only thing we didn't like was the noise from the room above us. They had kids that ran back and forth, especially at night before bedtime. I told staff at checkout, and they said we should have said something at the time. I didn't want to be a bother. But if it happens to you, definitely say something. And if you have young kids that like to run in the room, you might think about staying on the ground floor.

We were staying in town while visiting family. Our king room was the perfect home away from home. We loved that the hotel was clean, hot coffee always available and the option to have daily housekeeping service. Both the front desk and housekeeping staff were excellent and friendly. We also loved the location which is walkable to all of downtown and the battlefield! The view from the third floor breakfast area is great too.

Everything was great. Nothing we didn’t like.

It was in a good location and walk to most of the shops and restaurants and stuff are nice and good breakfast.

One thing don’t use a debit card because the are going to charge you a little more then booking website prices and they are going to take 130 out of you before you go and take the rest of the payment out of you day or 2 before you check out and they will tell you don’t own nothing in tell you check out and they think everybody owns a credit card and don’t care about the lower class Americans just be careful.

Great location., was able to walk to several places for meals or souvenirs, etc. Quiet inside. Room nice, had nice tall ceiling which made it feel even more spacious. Parking was easy. Breakfast was good, loved the waffle maker too. Very nice decor throughout. Located right next to the well-kept Heritage Center and its nice gift shop, so it was a nice view out our window.

Nothing, (If hotel fills up, parking may be a bit harder. Like many hotels, I suspect.)

A great location, allowing you to enjoy just about everything there is to enjoy, within walking distance, in the heart of Gettysburg, PA.  Third story breakfast lounge allows you a perfect view of the union occupied, cemetery hill and ridge line as well as a portion of the Emmitsburg Road where pickets charge took place.

Most all of the rooms do not have a view of the battlefield with the exception of possibly three I believe.  however, I do not consider this a major setback as I am not sitting in my room, staring outside the windows all day as I am engaged in the history that Gettysburg has to offer for 98% of my stay there.  If there is anything negative that I can say about this hotel is that it only has one elevator for all the occupants. Again, not a major setback.

There was a very kind gentleman who welcomed us in. Parking was free. The best was super comfy. The room and bathroom was large and very, very clean. The air conditioning worked amazing. We were able to walk everywhere easily. The coffee in the lobby out of a machine was surprisingly delicious! They also have snacks and toiletries in the lobby if you need to pick something up. My son worked out at the gym and said it was small but had everything you needed. Very pleased with our stay. Would highly recommend.

The walls were a little thin - or we just had very noisy hotel neighbors.

12 pm check out was very useful and helpful for us to complete a client meeting. Cleaning staff knocked on the door close to noon, and was courteous enough to come back a few minutes later when we needed it. The hotel facility has a more modern look and feel than other historic hotels in Gettysburg

Is there a way to move the "business center" from the lobby to a dedicated space with a door, so it will be less noisy/ distracting to people doing a business call/ work there?

We stayed in the suite room and it was very spacious, plenty of room for everyone.

I don’t know if the staff were overworked or what exactly. But they kept making comments about being too busy, etc. check in did not go smoothly, as I had modified my reservation with booking and at the hotel they tried to tell me that should have never of been allowed. Thankfully I had my emails to prove everything. My card was charged two pending room charges upon arrival, if you are on a budget that’s an awful lot to have hanging out until they fall back off.

The Best Western Gettysburg was a great hotel and very close to all the battlefield and National Cemetery attractions. You can walk to Cemetery Ridge and Seminary Ridge as well as walk to downtown Gettysburg. Great bars and Taverns very close to hotel. Hotel is almost new and breakfast is great. Highly recommend to anyone looking to visit Gettysburg.

I had a great stay in a spacious and clean room with a Smart TV. The room also had a mini fridge and microwave, which was very convenient. The beds were very comfortable, and I had a good night's sleep. The breakfast was delicious and had a good variety of items such as eggs, sausage, waffles, pancakes, muffins, toast, English muffins, cold cereals, yogurts, juice, and coffee. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, which made my stay even better. The hotel was conveniently located within walking distance of all the attractions and had ample parking. Overall, it was a great experience.

The only drawback, for me, was the gym's size. It had only one treadmill, elliptical, stationary bike, weight set, and another machine, which meant waiting for your turn.
