I really liked the room, amenities, the extra pillows/blankets was awesome, location to historic Gettysburg is a plus & the overall cleanliness.

I paid for a “City View” room and didn’t get it. Went right back to front desk to enquire about it and she said, “People who book on Booking.com app don’t get City View rooms. That’s only available to people who book directly with us.” I was very offended by that, but knew it was a battle I wasn’t going to win so I just said okay. I wanted to get settled and had plans to attend to, as well. The description on here needs to be changed since it’s false. It’s incorrect. I paid more for a “City View” room and should be reimbursed. The tub wouldn’t drain. It took awhile for water to go down.

My wife and I stayed for 3 days in July 2024. The welcome by Sierra on reception was warm and efficient. The room spacious and the bed very, very comfortable. The room and hotel was very clean. The hotel decor is a little ‘tired’ but this seems to give character. The breakfast was good. The location was excellent for exploring Gettysburg and the battlefield. The bath/shower was good, plenty of towels and toiletries. The room was well serviced each day. The only issue was the incredibly noisy air conditioning unit in the room. So bad in fact we turned it off in order to be able to sleep, and turned it on to cool the room when we were out in the day. It would be churlish to mark down our stay at this wonderful hotel because of this, as we were able to get around it, but maybe investment in new equipment is overdue.

Noisy air conditioning unit in room.

The rooms were clean and there is hard wood flooring. The king size bed with large and wasn’t noisy. The shower was clean, large, and had good water pressure. I had a reasonable amount of TV channels to entertain myself. There was also a lamp with an outlet to charge my phone by the bed. The pool was also free and gave out pool towels. They had chairs to lay on if you wanted to stay out of the water. One of the ladies in our group also had a small dog that her fiancé brought to the hotel for a few hours while they packed up to leave for the day. I was surprised that this hotel is pet friendly!

If I had to be picky, maybe a slightly bigger TV would have been nice (I don’t always wear my glasses). But for the price and number of channel, I was VERY pleased

Everything!! I've stayed multiple times and have been so pleased with the entire visit. The room was clean and large. The accommodations were provided. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was phenomenal. The hotel was so close to everything. We walked to dinner and stayed out until after 10:00 going to the local stores and walked the well lit streets. The overall opinion of the locals is that they're all overly welcoming and proud of their town. Perfect get away. Thank you

Nothing to list

Delicious breakfast with a clean environment, lots of staff, excellent choices of food and filling to energize us for the day ahead. Walking distance to restaurants, shopping, historic sites, car tour took longer than expected with so much to see so it was wonderful to be close to town and hotel when needed.

Nothing! We went for a weekend and regret not staying longer. Thank you to everyone for being friendly, helpful and supportive of our interests. Photo opportunities were everywhere! I’m making a book of our trip.

Friendly staff that were helpful with planning our (one) day at Gettysburg. You can also walk to several historical sites nearby, so you can get a lot in just by walking in area. Great value for your room rate. Very clean and room has all the basic amenities that you would need. Beds were comfortable.

Can't think of much that bothered us. Maybe the unit AC was a bit noisy, but we got used to it. And I'm not a fan of paper plates for breakfast, but no complaints. It was nice to have breakfast included.

The location was great. You can walk everywhere.

One of the girls at the desk was not so friendly when I asked if I could have a couple extra rolls of toilet paper. We had 2 rolls in the room, but they were half way gone. So I asked the girl if I could have 2 more rolls. She was kind of rude when I asked for it and said I will give you one roll. My thing is that if you have a spot for 2 rolls then just give me 2 rolls without the attitude.

Great location and central to everything, has been renovated in certain areas and the change is a plus! Best breakfast buffet around with plenty to choose from. Water pressure is so great, I need one of the shower heads in my home!!

The thermostat on the ac needs to be able to be set lower than 65, turns off in the middle of the night, thankfully we travel with a box fan to make up for the difference. Pillows on the king size bed are not comfortable and go flat quickly but the bed itself is comfortable.

Room was immaculate. Bed had all white linens including comforter, suggesting that everything gets washed. Absolutely no complaints. Very reasonable rate. Free breakfast was pretty good, especially considering it was included. Buffet of eggs, meats, waffles, breads and fruits exceeded the usual continental. Coffee is very good. Room was relaxing and nicely decorated.

Room doors are on outside. You do have to go.inside and use elevators then back outside on balconies to access rooms. A little bit inconvenient (it was cold on our visit) but not awful.

The king bedroom was clean and provided ample space. The bed was comfortable. The housekeeping staff provided plenty of towels. In the interest of saving energy and resources, I was given the option of not having my used towels refreshed everyday. The breakfast that was included with my room was the best that I have had during my recent travels. There were multiple hot options, and the coffee was very good. It was brewed by the pot rather than being dispensed by the cup from a machine. All the staff that I interacted with were friendly and helpful. The location was also great. It was within easy walking distance to the Gettysburg National Cemetery, and it was a relatively short drive to the U.S. Parks Visitors' Center. For hardier individuals, walking to the center of Gettysburg is possible. Be aware, however, that many of the sidewalks in this historic town are uneven and often dimly lit at night.

It appears that this facility like many others, in the interest of health and safety, has eliminated carpeting in the guest rooms. While I understand that it make rooms easier to clean and more hygienic, it makes the rooms feel "colder" and more spartan. The sound dampening qualities of carpeting is also lost. While I didn't think my room was noisy, I recommend that light sleepers bring with them a white noise machine for facilities that have gone to this new trend.
