The historic setting of the building itself and the surrounding area was great. Bed was very comfortable.

The shower drain emanated a sewage smell for a few minutes during each shower. Also, the hot items of each breakfast were the same each day (spinach quiche, bacon, french toast) but some variety would be nice.

The location was just what we needed. It had an old world feel, but with modern amenities (a decent shower, for example.)

The stairs were steep to climb. The lighting for the mirror over the sink was poor. In our room, the blackout curtains didn’t close completely and the morning light woke me up.

Facilities were excellent

Television was all streaming.no local news or shows. Air conditioning gave us some problems.minor inconveniences.

Location! We were able to park for most of the duration of our trip and walk to everything! The cafe Picnic next door was also super convenient. Breakfast was good too. Appreciated that it wasn’t the standard continental breakfast.

Needed coffee maker or teapot in the rooms or at least a coffee station in 2nd floor kitchen. Would also have been convenient to have ice maker at this property and not down in the breakfast area. Wasn’t informed about check-out process. Would have liked to have learned some stories about the property.

Breakfast is excellent, location is good, parking is very convenient, mattress is very comfortable

The girl at reception was not friendly . We asked if any possibility to check in a little bit earlier, but she said “no, nobody will this for you”, we answered that usually other hotels did. She said:” welcome to Newport …”. Only when we told her that we want to move to another hotel, she found the room which was of course ready already , we could checked in 59 min earlier.

Check in was seamless. The room was spotless quaint and historic. The bed was very comfortable, shower great. I love the added bonus of refrigerator. Angel at the front desk was friendly, informative and helpful. The location is perfect for leaving car and exploring everywhere if you like to walk. Breakfast amazing! Cassandra rocks!

Would have liked microwave in room. Perhaps an elevator for people with special needs. Other than that thank you for awesome stay! Will be back

Hotel had charm and was very clean. It was nice to have the bakery next door. Our breakfast did not include decaf coffee so it was nice I could get some, although I had to purchase it.

It was hard to regulate the air conditioning in our room. At times it was very warm.

-Breakfast each morning was fantastic. It was 2 doors down at another property by the same owners, and they had a variety of pastries, amazing quiches, breakfast meats, pancakes, french toast, etc. The people serving breakfast were also very nice! -The room was small but comfortable. The bed was very comfortable! -The location was EXCELLENT. You could easily walk to the water/wharf in 10 minutes (mind you....the way back is uphill so prepare). There are a ton of shops etc on Bellevue you can visit, we liked Empire Coffee. -Adjacent to the hotel there was this little cafe that had coffee, amazing pastries, egg dishes, etc. You could walk in through the hotel lobby. We went every day!!! -The air conditioning in the room worked great which was amazing because it was very hot

-Just a warning there is no elevator so be prepared, also the staircase is very narrow. -Obviously this is an older building so everything is just much more narrow/small than hotels you're probably used to. **this wasn't something that was upsetting or anything, and I knew going in, but just in case someone is reading this...this is not a modern hotel. It's historic and has its quirks! -The one complaint was the wifi was terrible in our room/barely worked, luckily we didn't need it much but it was frustrating sometimes when we were trying to make dinner reservations etc.
