location staff and design

morning coffee for guests is a must. I don’t mind purchasing but the only available coffee was a the bagel shop connected to the hotel. unfortunately everyone in the area wanted to come to the bagel shop and the line was wrapped around outside the hotel. at least have a coffee service available for hotel guests.

We stayed in a corner king room for two nights. The hotel was beautifully decorated with art deco touches, and the room was spacious, comfortable, and bright. I especially loved that the gym had everything you need to get a decent workout in— treadmills, elliptical, Peloton bike, and free weights!

We had a lovely time at the hotel and I highly recommend it to those visiting Nashville, however here are a few things that the hotel could improve on: - Valet service should always offer assistance with luggage. That didn’t happen when we arrived. - Offer a decaf coffee option in the lobby. There are pregnant women (and other decaf coffee drinkers) who would love the complimentary coffee! - Provide an option to cover the opaque windows so you don’t have to see someone showering from the main room. I was staying with my husband and it was fine, but it must be awkward for families.

I loved the welcoming feeling from the staff, even before I got there. Sandra was a life saver and fixed my problem before we visited. It was such a joy to meet her in person!! We chose to valet our car and Eric was very friendly and he took great care of us. Adam checked us in and was super friendly. Gave us suggestions on where to go visit and eat. We visited the pop up bar in the penthouse for fun. We also tried their bagel breakfast sandwiches and they were amazing!! We all would definitely stay here again. It’s nearby Broadway, and that was a nice walk.

The only bad thing is I didn’t have anywhere to put my clothes or my bathroom stuff. But I quickly forgot about that since everything else was so great.

I loved EVERYTHING about the room. The corner suite was amazing! We watched the sunrise from our bed!

I had to pay $50 a night for valet parking because all the garages around me were either full or closed down

From the moment you walk in, it feels rich and elegant. The staff made me feel like royalty. Everything from the complimentary champagne we received on arrival to the fabulous spa tub in our room, the experience was something unforgettable. The room was so spacious and the ambiance was calm and warm. The bed was so comfortable and the bathroom was something out of a dream home. The coffee shop in the lobby was the cherry on top of a fabulous stay. The coffee was some of the best I’ve had. And the chili garlic schmere on my everything bagel was to die for. Also the bar in the lobby was the perfect pre dinner cocktail spot! The blackberry mule knocked me out of my seat! Great start to a wonderful night. We will absolutely be back!

The restaurant wasn’t up to par with the rest of the hotel. It just was a let down compared to everything else. Maybe advertise it more and the staff would be happier not sitting around waiting for someone to serve. The menu has potential! It’s just not quite there yet. Wasn’t too impressed with the rooftop bar. The whole doll house theme just seemed odd and out of place. Just a total miss. Something more classy maybe a jazz theme with some live music.

The location of the Fairlane is ideal. It's a quick, easy walk down to Broadway where the honky tonks are. It's an even quicker walk to Printer's Alley which has several jazz/blues clubs. Each night as we headed away from the fun/crazy scene on Broadway, I greatly appreciated that this hotel was so close but in a quieter part of town. We flew in from Virginia and did not rent a car. Most of what we wanted to do/see was within a 10-minute walk. We did walk to the Parthenon one day (and took a meandering path with other stops on the way) - that was a bit of a hike to do both ways, so we took an Uber back. All of the staff we encountered (valet/bags, reception, Ellington's chef and bartenders) were friendly and helpful. The hotel has an on-site bagel/coffee shop. Coffee is free there if you show your room key, and both the coffee and the bagels are pretty good. We dined at Ellington's one night when they had a special event - a 5-course dinner with each course paired with a different bourbon cocktail. This event was very well run and a lot of fun. We were particularly impressed with Chef Chris Ayala's creativity with the various courses and the food was delicious. We also really enjoyed the bourbon cocktails and the presentation provided by Sazerac. We did enjoy a cocktail at the bar a couple of nights later. If we had stayed longer, we definitely would have dined at Ellington's an additional night. The hotel was clean. It did have an interesting perfume-y aroma. It wasn't bad per se, but be warned if you are sensitive to fragrance.

My husband's water died out for a couple of minutes during the course of his first shower. I reported it to the front desk who said they would alert the engineers. I also experienced a low trickle of water during my shower the next morning for a brief period. Both times, the water came back on its own.

the staff were very friendly and so helpful. we were greeted with a glass of champagne as we checked in, which was very welcome. The room was large and the bed so comfortable, an excellent shower and lots of nice extra touches.

only 1 tiny gripe, we could’ve done with coffee making facilities in the room. however coffee was always available at reception or the bagel bar.

Four blocks away from Broadway, a block from printer’s Alley, and across from the performing arts center. Location was awesome. Valet and front desk staff was very friendly and helped us get settled in nicely. The room was high enough from ground level to not be bothered by noise from the streets. Towels and bedding were great and comfortable. Bathrooms were awesome with great counter space and large shower.

Parking was $50 a day for overnight (typical for the area) but charged through room booking so included tax. Garage was down the block but valet was available 24/7 if we needed anything from or to put back in the car.

We arrived early and got a room upgrade due to our room not being ready. The room and bathroom were very spacious and nicely updated. It is only a mile from all the action on Broadway. The staff was very nice and accommodating.

The only negative was the dirty, used band aid that my 9 yo found on the floor. It was a clear band aid, so I can see how it got missed. It turned into a good learning lesson for my child, though. :)
