Historic hotel in a historic location. We toured the neighborhood for a part of each day we were there, enjoying all the many shops and attractions (especially the John Wayne Experience). Lots of great dining choices, too. Each day we would leave the Stockyards and go to other museums or attractions around the Fort Worth area and we enjoyed all aspects of our vacation there; it is a very clean and safe city!

Room was a little noisy (thin walls, we were in a central location) and somewhat antiquated plumbing, but it all worked well.

Location was great. Right in the middle of the action. Loved the history behind the hotel! I would suggest reading about the hotels history before going. We were upgraded to the Davy Crockett room. Staff was very nice. Obviously it is a very old hotel so a bit noisy but that is part of the charm… my daughter was hoping it was the ghosts of Bonnie and Clyde. Would definitely stay again.

My only real issue was not even with the hotel but the restaurant downstairs. They were fully booked and not taking any reservations for the rest of the night which I understand. I asked if I could sit at the bar and order to take back up to my room and was told that the kitchen was done for the night and not accepting anymore orders (it was 7:30). I wish there had been an exception for the guests actually staying at the hotel.

Loved the location; walk out the door and everything we wanted to see / visit was right there. The staff were friendly in a personable way; helpful with directions; answered all questions promptly and accurately. The vibe of the hotel is wonderful with its old-time atmosphere, nooks and comfortable sitting areas dotted around on each floor. The decor gave the hotel an interesting atmosphere.

There was nothing we did not like.

This hotel is close to all of the Fort Worth Stock Yards attractions. We stayed on the Friday night before the OU/ Texas game and there was a bull riding event as well. It was loud at night on the street and our room faced it, but I slept fine and the hotel supplied earplugs that could be used if needed. The hotel is clean, quaint, and has an excellent restaurant attached.

It takes a little while to get your car out of valet parking because the lot is several blocks away, but fun to people watch while waiting.

I love that this very historical hotel located right on Main st. in the Fort Worth stockyards It has so much character & charm, & is so warm & cozy too! It's very refreshing from the modern hotels we are used to stayingI at. I love the grand staircase in the lobby when you enter!, Its like out of an old western movie! The location is so perfect! Right across from a wonderful western style boutique called The Maverick; I love this store! it has both ladies & mens apparel, lots of fancy cowboy boots, interesting home goods, art & a huge bar! There is also a cattle drive on this street every day I believe; lots of fun bars a restaurants nearby, all within walking distance too! We were considering staying at the infamous newer Drover Hotel near by; We chose This hotel because it was about half the price, + I just really wanted to try this old landmark hotel, & we are so glad we did! It fit all of our needs; I like this location because you are right in the middle of everything! Our room was great! I loved the lace curtains & the window that looked out over Main st. I love the grand hallways & sitting area outside our room. I also enjoyed taking the stairs to our room & not an elevator. (we were on the second floor) I also LOVE the bar & restaurant connected to this hotel! You can sit in saddles at the bar and sip your favorite cold beverage! & they have the BEST chicken fried steak ever! Thanks to Booking.com for giving me reward points from our recent travels (that were about to expire). I used these points towards our stay at The Stockyard Hotel!

The bath/shower could use some professional sprucing up. It looked like a handy man had attempted to do it. But this was not a deal breaker. 1 or both of the sofas in the lobby needs replacing. But I love that style! they have just seen their better days!

We enjoyed everything from dropping our car off with valet parking to the close proximity of fun and a quiet and comfortable room. The holiday charm in the lobby was nice and the bar fun even though it closed at 10 which we thought was a bit early given that we had just left the rodeo and needed a quick bite. Overall a quiet and comfortable room.

We would have liked a fridge and even some creamer for the coffee. The coffee machine was great if you like black coffee but we used the hotel minibar M&Ms to make it mocha. For the value, I would have thought these amenities and tea would have been in the room. Still - a fun place with charm close to all the activities.

The location was great, walk out your door and you're right there in the middle of the restaurants, bars, shops, museums, etc. Room was very clean, it was also very quiet. Beds were comfortable too!! The H3 restaurant attached was amazing, homemade bread, homemade salad dressing, steak was excellent.

It was all great! Would love if it had breakfast provided. We also missed not having a fridge in the room.

Perfect authentic relaxing turn of the century charm and decor. You could fit a whole family in the bed we had. So so comfortable. The staff were absolutely wonderful, including the valet staff out front. Hardly ever opened a door for myself all week.

We had a room facing the main street thru stockyards. It was fine, and the view was amazing. The only problem was that they don’t warn you about the amount of cars that go down the street that are souped up and obnoxiously loud from the engines to the blasting of the music loud and thumping enough to still hear and feel inside of the Coliseum.

Beautiful historic hotel. Lobby was decorated for Christmas. Lovely staircase going up from lobby. Elevator had original floor level. Room was clean. Nice towels and bedding.

You could hear outside of room. Would be nice to have the larger half shower curtain in the bathtub rather than the old straight kind. Most hotels have upgraded to the larger shower curtain.

The hotel is spectacular. The location is perfect for exploring the stockyards and all the nearby attractions. It is very historic and very well maintained. The architecture is beautiful and the rooms were large and comfortable. Walk out the door and you are dead center in the stockyard division.

The only complaint is traffic. There is no on-site parking so you need to plan ahead. The best option is to valet park at the hotel. For a small fee you can forget about the never-ending line of cars and fighting for paid parking in the parking areas surrounding the stockyards.
