This hotel is a hidden gem in Galveston! I've been to Galveston many times in my life, but never knew this hotel existed! To find such a nice, clean, affordable hotel on the beach was wonderful. The pool was very nice and exactly as it was pictured on the website. Not only was there covered parking available, but it was free! I would also like to send a "great job!" comment about Ray, the manager on duty. When we arrived, there was a problem with our reservations. Ray overheard the conversation, stepped out of her office, asked a couple of questions, and had everything straightened out and resolved in a few minutes! She was VERY nice and helpful, and we really appreciated her excellent customer service!! Thank you, Ray! Everything about it exceeded our expectations and we really enjoyed our stay. We will be back!

It would be nice if there was a continental breakfast area available and/or the convenience store area have a little more variety. Also, there were several areas around the pool that were very slippery, and we noticed several people almost lose their balance when walking back from the gate by the shower and up the ramp from the beach. Maybe that area could be squeegeed or swept to make it safer? One last thing: the ceiling in the room I stayed in (5th floor-53B?) had dark, black dust hanging over the bed and around the ceiling fan that floated down when the fan was in use. I was able to reach up and clean off the fan, but it would nice if someone could take a look at the ceiling and remove the particles that are around the fan.

Location to the beach!

My husband often has to work a little on trips. Your wi-fi is open/unsecure. This is a problem for him when he is working. It would be nice if a password protected secure network was available for those who do have to work even when they are on vacation. I also do not like having to repeatedly tell the check-in people that we are not interested in the "deals" and that we do not want to go to the presentation. We have stayed at this very resort numerous times. We know we pay more, but we like the location. We are not interested in any kind of time share investment.

The location and the room were fantastic. It exceeded our expectations.

We arrived around 10 o’clock at night. We had gotten married that morning and we’re exhausted from a long day of wedding activities and traveling. When we arrived at a the hotel we were checked in quickly but we’re pestered about buying a time share for almost 30 minutes despite expressing we were not interested. It was very frustrating standing and being forced to listen to a conversation we weren’t interested in hearing while being so exhausted.

View of the Gulf of Mexico was beautiful. Boardwalk made beach easy to access. Our room was clean. The kitchen was nice and well appointed for cooking. We walked on the beach, swam in the clear ocean and in the beautiful pool. Enjoyed the fitness center. It was an easy drive into Galveston for a special dinner and touring the sites.

Even though we had a kitchen, it would have been nice to have a small eatery onsite. Not a big deal as there are places nearby.

I loved the location and the size of the villa. The air worked great for 100 degree weather and having the washer and dryer was nice. Water pressure was great! I also enjoyed my view and the pool. Proximity to the beach.

Floors could have been swept better. Towel rack (the only one) in bathroom was broken. Trash piled up at elevator entrance on the ground floor.

Loved the Oceanview and the walking distance to the ocean. We loved that there was a kitchen in our room. The staff was helpful. It was great that there were beach chairs and boogie boards that we could borrow. Overall, great experience, I'd highly recommend.

Continental breakfast would be lovely and having dedicated beach chairs down by the water would be great. The fans in the bedroom were a little dusty.

I love that the property was on the beach. There are three restaurants within a short walk from the resort. It is a short 15 - 20 minutes from all the tourist attractions and museum. There is any traffic noises. it is in a peaceful and quiet spot. The pictures on the site did not do the suite I stayed in justice. The suite was spacious and clean. the decor choices were an excellent choice.

I did not have any dislikes.

We actually moved from another resort after seeing this resort owned by the same company. We loved this resort because it was right on the beach and the pool was centrally located all within walking distance. The staff was super friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean. I saw the staff cleaning the general areas on a daily basis. I also loved the under building parking with lots of space to avoid dings in the car as well as to keep it cool during the day.

The only thing I could say that I think needed some care was the decking walking out to the beach. Perhaps it is on the list to do and I'm sure its difficult to keep up with being so close to the water but it needed some boards replaced and a new coat of paint to eliminate all the splintering.

Beach location. Size of room and amenities. Very clean and comfy. Parking was great. Washing machine and dryer was a surprise. Most importantly the room was really cold and even had ceiling fans. I will definitely return.

Check in time was late and check out time early. 3 PM check in and 10AM check out isn’t very long. The staff did give us 11 AM check out.

We stayed at this resort last year for our anniversary and absolutely loved it! We decided to return this year and were very pleasantly surprised to know that our request for a villa overlooking the beach again was made possible by the hotel. This resort is a must if you are looking to get away from the crowds and heavy traffic along the central Galveston beach area. The pool and jacuzzi/hot tub area are centrally located with a beach bar right next to the parking lot. A walk to the beach means taking the elevator and walking to the boardwalk on the 2nd floor that will take you to a private stretch of beach. Couldn't ask for a better stay that provides comfort, peace and quiet and if you are interested in cooking meals without the hassle of driving to restaurants, reserving a villa with all the cooking amenities is a must! Floors needed to be mopped to reduce the feeling of foot traffic and sand. Otherwise, great stay!
