The hotel is simply beautiful and elegant. It was great to have a room overlooking the atrium. The room was super clean, stylish and comfortable. The hotel is old school glamour with a 21st century twist. The hotel is located right next to the Strand and close to many top eateries.

We loved our stay and would definitely stay again. The only suggestion I have for improvement is more options for food in the hotel itself. There were snacks and small bites in the lobby/bar, but a bigger menu would be great.

The hotel renovations were definitely well appreciated and noticed. Last time I was at Tremont, was 2019, and it was definitely show its age. I like that it’s a Marriott property. Elevators are surprisingly fast. I would highly recommend king suite, especially on 4th floor, if you have kids. The room layout is definitely perfect. The website and booking.com do a terrible job explaining how awesome the floor plan is.

Hotel is super noisy at night. There’s no way anyone sleeps there peacefully. The valet staff and check in staff, for luggage at least, are very lazy and lack any sort of customer awareness.

I am partial to boutique hotels and historical buildings. The Tremont was 2 for 2. It was exceptionally clean and well-appointed with extras to make our stay comfortable. The staff was friendly, the beds were comfortable and the location was on the Strand surrounded by downtown shops and restaurants.

Our stay included the breakfast package. The food was delicious, however, the hotel restaurant wasn’t equipped to handle the summer crowds. I would not include breakfast with my future stays.

437. The sink area was way too small to be able to accommodate toothpaste other things that one uses at the sink. I realize it’s a small area but having a freestanding sink in that small area takes away from the ability to be able to place things on the counter. I would suggest having a sink that goes across from the left wall to the right wall. Other than that the bathroom was perfect. You need to get rid of the big armoire that holds the television. It’s very difficult to use with the big door that don’t open all the way. The third thing is the windows were filthy on the outside. I love the interior of the painting the walls etc. The bed and the sheets and pillows were excellent. The staff was excellent.

staff was friendly and very helpful. desserts were awesome!!!!!! so good. we got one of each and they were incredible. rooms were beautiful and clean, great location, lovely place to stay the night.

i was disappointed the rooftop bar was closed for renovations. obviously not their fault, has to be done, but i wish the price would have reflected that. no biggie... the staff was great, and the clean, comfy, gorgeous rooms made up for it. will return 10/10

The hotel is drop dead gorgeous after what appears to be a comprehensive and well thought out renovation. This hotel is pure class- in a very beautiful and understated way with hospitality at the core- not show off glitz. The pictures do not really do the rooms justice- our room had a soaring ceiling that made us feel like we had stepped back into a grand old mansion. The bar is extraordinary- an original wood carved masterpiece with a lovely bartender the night we were there. We really enjoyed being able to relax in the bar area in the evening with a creatively crafted drink after a long day of Houston traffic and sightseeing. We only wished we would have been able to take in a meal at the restaurant. After a glitch at check in, Mitchell, who was manning reception, went above and beyond to make sure we got the second room we booked. Mitchell exemplified everything about excellence in hospitality we could have hoped for- and reflected the positive spirit of the other team members we encountered.

We understood when we booked that there was still some construction that has kept the roof bar closed and that they are still finishing the fourth floor. So while this didn't bother us- and the price most certainly reflected this inconvenience for some guests- there may be people who find this to be an issue. Also- the rooms in the front can be louder and lighter in the evening due to street noise. This did not bother us- and in our experience comes with the territory when staying in certain tourist locales- but some people may want to ask for a room in the back of the property.

The smell throughout hotel. The bar. Has a nice charm to it.The room had such a romantic ambiance. The bluish lights accenting the exterior of main entrance. Such nice employees throughout hotel.

Stayed on Saturday night. Most popular bar is right around corner. Got very noisy with drunks screaming and fights as they filtered down street around closing. Probably only a issue on Friday and Saturday night. Had a room facing street not a interior room which would of solved issues

Bright, open space. Modern yet old feel all @ the same time. Staff & out front parking were extremely nice. Breakfast & coffee was delicious, one entree large enough for 2.

Would have liked breakfast included. We stayed while in remodel & the roof was closed. The bar staff - people were there but yes, there was a just arrived bartender, then went home. Floor staff made our drinks which were mediocre. Wasnt thrilled coffee cost was by the 'cup'.

The room was large and very nicely appointed. They even brought in a refrigerator to accommodate medical needs. The staff was very friendly. Especially liked the bathroom and the walk-in closet. I would give them a bonus star for how quiet the place was, even though they were fully booked. Very convenient to the cruise terminals and they provide a shuttle to and from for a reasonable amount.

I wouldn't say that I didn't like it, but the doors are very heavy. Just takes a little extra effort to get into the room, but it probably adds to how quiet the room was. Never heard anyone going up and down the hallway.
