Best value downtown, walk across the street to Minute Maid Park, 10 minutes from convention center. Building is historic, but not much to look at from the outside. Don't let that worry you. Rooms are spacious and modern with updated bathrooms and comfortable beds. Decent views, especially from the 21st floor ballroom. Perfect for couples and solo travellers looking for cleanliness and comfort at a reasonable price in the heart of Houston for 1-2 nights.

Not a lot of amenities. Elevators are slow, but what you would expect in an historic building. Valet parking is a little on the expensive side.

Great location and room but the elevations need repair -- we often waited 5 mins or more, which is weird these days. Other than that, this was a great place to stay to get to the Houston Astros game and there was plenty of team spirit around.

The elevator was SO SLOW.. Also, it's common to have simple coffee set-up in the lobby but we were charged $3 each morning for small cups of black simple joe. The bar and restaurant are expensive but that's typical -- a simple coffee offering would be great. Also, there's scaffolding over the front of the hotel, not the most welcoming appearance when you arrive.

The rooms are great! Clean and spacious and the staff is really nice!

THE ELEVATORS! They have about 4 elevators and only 2 work, and they take forever to come down or up, and even if they do come down, it’s probably filled with people and won’t be able to get in one anyways. we had to use the stairs to go to our 8th floor because it was faster than waiting for the elevator to come. And I’m not talking about 5 minutes, the wait for the elevator is 10 minutes or more! Even tho everything else was great, this issue unfortunately is a deal breaker.

My room was actually beautiful! It was nice not to have the cookie cutter look of a Marriott or Hyatt hotel. It was a much nicer room than expected considering the price I paid. Very clean, I didn’t get the vibe of “oh 2,000 people have slept in this bed before me” so that’s always a plus!?😂

The elevators were definitely a pain. I read that in the reviews before and it’s definitely a hassle. Just don’t try to rush out of there! Lol you very well may be waiting 5+ minutes for an elevator to show up. ALSO I really don’t like that the entrance to the hotel doesn’t take you to the lobby. The lobby is on the 2nd floor. Valet doesn’t tell you that, there’s no signs telling you that, we just got lucky enough to run into a guest who was leaving that was kind enough to point us in the right direction.

We loved the proximity to the stadium, and the hotel itself was lovely. The front desk staff was very friendly, and the ability to get answers to any questions we had was wonderful.

The fact that only one working elevator was available to a packed house was not only wholly inadequate, but also potentially dangerous. It took up to 10 minutes of standing and waiting for the single elevator to arrive at any given point. This proved totally unacceptable at “check-out time” for such a large number of guests. Similarly, the minimal number of staff at the bar/restaurant made eating at the property very inconvenient. Although the food was delicious and the staff was kind, a single bartender, who is also having to wait on hungry guests, and apparently only one person back in the kitchen, made it virtually impossible for someone To enjoy the experience of an on site bar/restaurant

Very clean and the location was excellent

I was not informed about the valet parking upon arrival or the cost. O park two continuous days in their parking lot only to have a valet chase me to my car to tell me I couldn’t park my own car that I need it to valet, that the lot was valet only and that it was 45 dollars a day. I requested an invoice and I am still waiting for it. Total mess the parking situation.

Loved the room and shower , the view was amazing , The Receptionists were lovely and a delight to talk to and helped us anyway they could , The Bar and Restaurant the food was good ate there every Morning , There was A Hispanic Male Server He was Lovely Made us Smile and Laugh Every Morning There was Guys on the Door were an absolute Delight they talked to us before we left and when we got back they even suggested where to go and how to get there

In the Bar there Was a Male Asian Server he Clearly Did Not Want to be there he looked like he was miserable and by us asking anything we were disturbing him He Got My Order Wrong Twice In A Row , They could have used More Options on the Food Menu Portions Were Small

Really nice hotel, with lovely rooms and a really nice bathroom. The room we got was a twin room, but felt more like a suite with the size of the room. Good location, within walking distance to the toyota center and lots of bars and restaurants The restaurant has a good breakfast, but be prepared for the portion sizes which are very large

There were some issues with our check in, we got the wrong room, then we got a key to a room that had people inside it before finally getting the right room, after a 10 hour flight, this was a little annoying. The key cards also failed regularly. Seems there was some issue with the system.

Location was great. Right down from the ballpark. The rooms were clean and overall a very nice place. Parking attendants were the best!! Jose was the man!

The only thing that was so uncool was the elevator situation of 4 only 2 worked and on a game weekend that place is packed. Had to take the stairs from the 10th floor se eral times. Even when checking out with all of our luggage.

The bartenders, Manny and Persia were great! The location was also ideal and a great view.

There is no shower door just a half glass wall and the door to the bathroom slides but does not close fully. The some of staff at the front desk can be a little more pleasant and welcoming. Parking valet is $45 per night, typical in that area though. Only 2 out of the 4 elevators were working and worked very slowly. There is also not a business center available.
