I really liked the option of the queen suite with sofa bed so nobody had to sleep on the floor! The hotel is conveniently located in a pleasant quiet area about a block from the highway. We didn't hear traffic noise all night which was good. 20-30 minutes from downtown Dallas depending on traffic. It is obvious that it is older and a little worn. But it still seems clean. somehow we ended in a room that had a bathroom designed for disabilities. It was equipped with a shower chair and handrails. The electrical plugs in our room however were well past their sell by date since we could plug in devices but the plug would slip right out. Solved that by using a bandaid to hold it in. We were on the second floor and did not hear anybody walking around above us and not much hall traffic either. Staff was friendly and helpful. We didn't take advantage of the pool, but breakfast was plentiful and good- standard eggs/bacon/potatoes/ waffles/ cereal etc.

There are no Central stairs in the lobby going up to the next floors. They are located on the ends of the building but there is an elevator in the center. This just made going down to the lobby a little inconvenient. (But we had just driven from Tulsa so the exercise was good)

Everything was good except two minor things. Which is why I gave it an 8.

The 2 things that bothered me was that the ice machines were not working and we had to keep going to the deal to ask for ice. It's super humid there, the least we could have is ice. Also, our key cards kept deactivating. So after a long hot day, we would have to go back downstairs to reactivate them. Kind of annoying. People were nice though.

Breakfast was amazing. Wide variety of options and stocked up constantly. The overall facility was clean and tidy. Loved that a microwave was available in the suite as well. The rooms get nice and cool based on personal preferences.

The building itself was a little warm. (Lobby and hallways) The only noticeable downside was the bathrooms. Broken tiles on the floor and water damaged bathroom door.

The evening reception female, housekeeper and the evening driver on Thursday and Saturday so pleasant and very helpful. The bed comfortable, room spacious, temperature in the room excellent because I run cold. The running water always ready for a hot shower. They had a microwave and large refrigerator not the stand small refrigerator. Television large and walking distance to restaurants and stores just in case you forgot something. Free breakfast having everything most enjoy for breakfast.

I didn't have much interaction with morning crew so I can't comment. But nothing to say

Are room was spacious and clean

Our checkin for two rooms was met by an extremely rude receptionist when I asked about lower floor rooms - he abruptly told me I made no request and in front of my family and other quests in the lobby told me if I didn’t like it to check out and go elsewhere ! I was given rooms on the 3rd floor and I did send a message which I did not have access to as my phone was dead - responded the rooms we had were available on the 3/4 floors and that they would put us on the same floor. In addition the Elevator was a bit unsettling we were reluctant to use it Made lots of noises whilst in and took a long time to get to us

There was enough room for everyone to have their space and not be on top of each other. Cleaning folks would come in during the days and restock the towels and toiletries.

The only down side is the pool was closed for maintenance a few days during our stay and ice machine wasn’t always working

The property was good and conveniently located to a place to eat and the airport.

On the day we were to check in, I received a text that we were going to be charged $50 because I booked with a third party (Booking.com). This is the first time I’ve heard of this charge. When I told her I was going to dispute it, she waived it but I will be sure to watch for signs of these charges in the future. I feel that such charges will discourage people from using Booking.com if I continue to see them.

The room

On Friday night there was no parking and I am handicapped. I had to park on the fire lane for a couple of hours until the parking lot had parking space. But other than that, the two more days that I stayed there it was good. It was just that one day which was Friday cause across the building. They had an event going on.

We had a king room with a sofa bed suite. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom counter was very spacious for all of our girl belongings. There was a microwave in the room. This hotel is in walking distance to Walmart and several other great restaurants. The hot breakfast bar was amazing everyday with a choice of continental as well. (Every little bit of saving helps on vacation.) This hotel is only about 15 minutes from Dallas stadium too.

Very comfortable and close to places where I wanted to go.

I had reservations for two rooms. One with Booking. com and Hotel.com. I had called the date before my trip to make sure the rooms were still available. On Friday Night when I arrived at the hotel, I was told that I only had one reservation. I had two confirmation numbers and the front desk clerk still insisted that I only had one room. I ended up purchasing another room ..
